Hearne: Time for Kavanaugh to Toss in the Towel

Mark Judge (left), Brett Kavanaugh (right)

Let me be perfectly clear…

From the get go Democrats have done Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh dirty. No two ways about it, regardless of whether the claims against him are true or not.

Lost in this unseemly process has been the longstanding legal assumption that folks are innocent until proven guilty.

Ah, but that concept bit the dust when the Me Too movement attained liftoff this past year.

Because no longer do actual courts get to try these sort of cases, the court of public opinion is now the adjudicator of innocence and guilt.

And guilt trumps innocence something like 10 to 1 in this new court.

Will equilibrium ever return? Probably – look at the Salem witch trials – but clearly no time soon.

That said, Lefsetz column about preppies is spot on by my measure.

Need I remind you that I hail from that world?

So, it matters little that Kavanaugh was a virgin until after college. I went to school with a ton of virgins who exhibited behavior as crude and crass as you can imagine.

As did KCC scribe Dwight Sutherland and that cranky comments dude Stomper.

So while we probably all can cop to the way this has been played out by the Dems is bogus, chances are Kavanaugh has little more than a snowball’s chance in Hades of making it to the Supreme Court.

In some ways that’s too bad.

Because many of us have done stoopid stuff in our lost youths that if  judged the way they are in the people’s court of today would disqualify us from the gig Kavanaugh hopes to get.

And one has to wonder, given the witch hunt nature of politics today when and if it will all end and who among us could pass muster with blemish free,  letter perfect childhoods?

Did Kavanaugh commit some sort of crude indiscretion or three?

It’s not out of the realm of my imagination, given the similarity of our backgrounds. So I can see it being true, albeit with room for different viewpoints by the parties involved.

Unfortunately, by most measures these inappropriate – arguably sophomoric indiscretions  –  seem to have long since been outweighed by Kavanaughs maturation and accomplishments as an adult.  That no doubt more than qualifies him for the post he seeks.

Too bad though, cuz the chances of him getting this gig are by my measure slim to none.

Indeed, though it’s just the latest in a long line of dirt done to each party by the other; for example, the Dem’s motivation for this behavior can be traced directly back to McConnell’s ignoring his constitutionally mandated duty to ‘advise and consent’ vis a vis Judge Garland.

…chances are Kavanaugh has little more than a snowball’s chance in Hades of making it to the Supreme Court.

From your laptop to Thor’s ears!

Realistically, though, a lot depends on what sort of flaming hairball Avenatti manages to pull out of his surprisingly bottomless briefcase, because McConnell really, really needs/wants this win.

Yeah, who knows where that dude is concerned….

He’s pretty sleazy but CNN and MSNBC are so hell bent on trashing Trump they’ll take anything

  2. LanceTheIntern says:

Here’s the problem — If Judge Kavanaugh does toss in the towel, the odds of us EVER getting a Supreme Court Justice in our life time goes down the drain.

Here’s my reasoning…All it’s going to take is someone to say “this judge did X to me 30+ years ago…”. As long as the person making the claim is a female, they’re screwed. And it doesn’t matter what gender the Judge is.

    • admin says:

      I agree, Lance…

Because there’s almost always going to be something – maybe not sex – who knows what it could be?

I had a boating accident as a kid – nobody was injured but I was being needlessly careless.

I was having a makeup session with a girl well into our 20s once and when we arrived at “second base” she kind of semi-freaked and wanted to stop and go home.

Those are my confessions…that and probably some pretty dumb partying exploits.

A friend and I smoked pot in our hotel room in Crested Butte with the local sheriff a long time ago – hey, you had to be there.

Can I still run for president?

  3. boom boom says:

No hearne….the dems are not trashing trump….its reppublicans….all o them who
are telling us the truth about trump
Cohen: registered repub and fixer for trump
Manafort: closeses friend of trump and family and registered repubuclian
FBI: all registered republicans including comey
    Sesssion: republican senator
    Bannon: republican
    Papa: american
everyone let go from trumps staff including omarosa were republicans……..
So stop giving us dems troubble for putting trump in prison. Without all these
theieves and liars we’d never see trump in an orange jump suit!

Grant me this small courtesy, my minuto popolo brothers and I will defend our “Born Into The Lace” penitents, here in the room. Having a Ruskin Heights pedigree, should at least give me as much street cred for absolution of these rich sinners as Michael Aventati achieves on CNN whilst defending slatternly harridans in search of qwik cash.

Granted Hearne, you are pecuniarily insouciant by way of birth and blood. So, is Judge Kavanaugh. That fact in no way, negates your Constitutional rights, or, in spite of your new found respect for the whim and caprice of militant, “Just Shut Up” Feminist affective thinkers, who emotionally conclude, then find reasons (If they can’t, they just lie.) for their conclusions. Hold off on that Aileen Wuornos tattoo!

Gimme a break with the #metoo. Pussy is already puissant by nature. It’s a seller’s market in case you haven’t noticed.

Let’s hope Judge Kavanaugh “fights the power!” He does have Constitutional rights and these accusations are felonious accusations and if false and manufactured (I think they are.) felonious crimes have been committed by the accuser. In for a dime…

So far, it has been like an Ex Pate FISA Court (Liberals love those.), where no one can defend themselves against the innate, brute power of the Misandrist Imperium that now rules the zeitgeist. If these Progressive Pecksniff Senators get their way, the only applicants to the Supreme Court will be biddable-beta-males like “Beto” O’Rourke who will have to survive a Trial-By-Combat death match. No doubt, they will be required to fling taffeta slippers at each other until someone loses an earring.

This entire farce is disgusting. Now, our sons, I guess, should be birthed while bleating their pleas for absolution, the shame of that Hang Down, cursing the family. I am sure, many will be left on a hillside to die, in the coming female Mazie Hirono-Heaven-On-Earth-Cloward-Piven utopia.

Kavanaugh and his family, have been accused of everything up to and including, gang rape. The Media has salivated over every accusation and this, this is, the lowest point, in American journalism history imo.

    It is an abomination.

    Question:

If a women hits a man in the privates (aka racking), is it sexual assault?

I’m surprised that it has not come down to questions like that. But, it is a fair question. IF a man hit a women in the privates, it would be considered sexual assault.

    • admin says:

      Geezus Goose…

Did this question come to you in a dream?

      • Super Dave says:

Weird as it may sound the guy does bring up a good point. I have seen more than one man twist to avoid such contact being delivered by a female of all ages.

      • goose13 says:

I have one boy in middle school and one boy in high school.
This has been brought up in school. Even when they where in grade school it was brought up. If the girls do it, they don’t get disciplined. If the boys do it, they do. My boys don’t do that because I told them it is not right, doesn’t matter if it is a boy or a girl.
So no, it didn’t come in a dream. It came from the schools.
Schools are more quick to call the police to cover their rear ends. With SRO in schools now, they call them to talk to these students and pretty much tell them what laws they have broken and they might go to jail.

  6. Kerouac says:

Next futile attempt the left: Republicans choose a woman Supreme Court Justice and Dumbocrats find a man (or more likely 10) who all claim ‘she sexually harassed them.’
Going forward, any American with a conscience and a spine support it can in no way believe ANYTHING the left says… they are the party of no integrity.

UPSHOT: Repubs mid-term elections – go out there and OBLITERATE the left via the polls (too, while there (turnabout being’fair’? play), ‘go all Maxine’/James Brown’s wig on them – ‘get up in their face and confront them’ the polls, restaurants, supermarkets and at the gas station… Civil War 2018.

    😎

  7. Super Dave says:

If Kavanaugh is innocent why should he have to toss in the towel? If you were facing the same thing Hearne and you knew you were innocent of such would you just walk away? To me just walking away says you did more than give up, you decided that things were about to maybe come out that does prove you did something wrong. This all to me is a form of legal bullying which should be illegal and not be allowed. As for the threats to his family, they should be dealt with severely and harshly.

    • admin says:

Your point is well taken, Super Dave…

I guess I’m guilty of being a little skeptical that NOTHING went on. That and given that only a small handful of people have to change their votes, it’s looking like a very difficult, uphill climb.

Now that won’t require him to drop out, but I guess what I’m saying is, I doubt he will get approved.

      • Guy Who Says What Others Think says:

And you’d be wrong. Kavanaugh stomped a mudhole in the Dems’ ass yesterday. The Republicans now have the votes. It’s over. He’s getting confirmed.

        • admin says:

My take was an early one, based upon the “me too” concept of guilty unless proven inn cent…

I’m with you on the current state of the situation, but we’ll soon see!

  8. Kerouac says:

Keep hearing about these polls (same ones said Clinton would win big 2016) claiming more Americans believe the accusers than they do Kavanaugh.

Is then I recall: “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” – Santayana

Feelings in lieu facts/lefties having already convicted Kavanaugh, righty will do the same, rejoinder: ‘what consequences for his accusers and enablers proven be liars?’

    😎

  9. J. Springer says:

Kavanaugh will not give up — his reputation has been insulted by lying women – he will defend himself.

I have no doubt that Soros or one of the other creepy liberal funders are giving these women money. They have found a price for their souls.

Not all women believe in unholy sacrament of liberalism …. the murder of babies.

  10. Kerouac says:

The buildup has reached a head, and the kickoff is upon us.

Intro today’s Brett Kavanaugh vs Christine Ford contest?

    No, déjà vu: January 15, 1967 – Superbowl I!

It feels that way to me.

Were it a game show in lieu political spectacle, ‘Who Do You Trust?’. Eventual King of Late Night ‘Here’s Johnny’ unavailable, leave it to everybody and his brother the play-by-play.

Superbowl I brought a first as well a never again: not one but two television networks providing game coverage. Today’s Kavanaugh/Ford contest will be covered by no less than 10 broadcast outlets, ‘yo left yo left, yo left right left’ in the majority.

They said the Chiefs had no chance vs the Packers 50+ years ago – they’re saying the same thing today about Kavanaugh. The time of the hard sell is over – it’s game on!

And now a word from our sponsor.

    The HALFTIME report

On an scale ranging Charlton Heston to Laurence Olivier, Ford’s performance today fell somewhere between pancake and bosom Twiggy’s; based on said, if Pinocchio is an little wooden boy, Ford is solid as an Oak tree.

UPSHOT: no news is good news – have heard nothing that changes any my thinking: Brett Kavanaugh… next Supreme Court Justice

    😎

  12. Ghost of the Past says:

Hearne, you are as slimy now as you’ve ever been (and from personal experience I know that is quite slimy). It’s perversely comical (or comically perverse) that you imagine you’re qualified to impune any woman willing to subject herself to the scorn and derision (as the commentators on this rag here and elsewhere exemplify) as Ford as done. You are a foul, bitter piece of work.

  13. Kerouac says:

The verdict: Kavanaugh… Supreme Court Justice

    😎

  14. Super Dave says:

I just spent the day listening and watching the Senate Judiciary Committee on Brett Kavanaugh. I am completely disgusted with our political system. This wasn’t a hearing, this was a smear of two people by certain party members seeking I have no idea what. Payback for losing in 2016 I guess. I don’t condone sexual assault but I don’t condone false accusations either. Senator Feinstein needs to be impeached for her role in handling this issue. If this had been a real trial Judge Kavanaugh would have been found not guilty. If Christine Blasey Ford had wanted to stop Judge Kavanaugh’s nomination she shouldn’t have sent a letter to the media and Feinstein, she should have contacted law enforcement in the state of Maryland where there is no statute of limitation on sex crimes and told them her story and demanded justice. There was plenty of time for a real investigation to have been done or started that would have stopped the nomination proceedings. This is nothing but a political witch hunt and I do hope the State Attorney General of Maryland orders an investigation and gets down to the bottom of the matter. I’d say the only reason this wasn’t done by the Democrats is because they already know it’s false and didn’t happen as Ford claims with Kavanaugh.

  15. chuck says:

Kavanaugh is, or, was, a Bush RINO Republican. Very centrist and uni-party as I understand it.

One result, of this process, this would be crucifixion, is the radicalization of Judge Kavanaugh. Prior to this hearing, there was NO CHANCE that Roe V. Wade would be overturned. Republicans are not crazy and the backlash from any attempt to overturn Roe V. Wade would put Democrats in office. P.E.R.I.O.D.

Now, radical Republicans, who see Roe V. Wade as the most important issue in politics, have a window, and, in my opinion, a newly sympathetic judge on the Supreme Court, seething, furious and ready for retribution. There is no liberal issue, that will come before him now, that will not be seen in a different light, a more experienced and “Hardened By War” view.

Just for the record, I think it is nuts to tell some lady whether or not she has the right to have or not have an abortion. It is a sad, personal and negative experience and any interference in that decision by strangers, is illogical to me.

My point, is, that people are human and Progressives have made a powerful and lasting enemy on the Supreme Court, that, would have, in my opinion, been another Justice Kennedy prior to this disaster.

  16. Kerouac says:

Flake ‘flakes’ out… another delay. A relief watching McCain carted off political stage a box now worm food, Flake soon to follow a boot buried deep his … good riddance, X 2.

If one needs further evidence why (among others) Trent Gowdy is leaving the national stage, open wide your nostrils inhale, deeply peel eyes survey odoriferous Washington D.C. stench permeates… imbibe, let it in, and lose your mind some more.

    😎

  17. Kerouac says:

Don’tcha know, it wasn’t 10 minutes aft seeing Dem Senator Coons being interviewed, thanking Flake for acquiescing (translation: bending the Repub party over once more)

the olive branch/potential delay (nod a 7th FBI look at things) was met ‘not’ with same gratitude but ‘more personal attacks’ on Judge Kavanaugh by Hawaii’s embarrassment Senator Hirono (her last name roughly translates ‘pudenda’)…

So it continues: another few days/if no more than a week to allow for yet more circus performers assorted AND sordid clowns come out of the woodwork their claims.

Mark my words: when even this is over, will be more of what the liberal left does best: kicking, screaming, lying and complaining ‘the investigation didn’t last long enough’ – WAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

Reminder: BLOW THE LIBS OUT OF THE WATER the voting booth November
