Valentine: Germany & The End of Europe

MerkelIt’s frightening to watch so much work and political capital go down the drain…

The European Union with its single currency and porous borders is facing its demise. The powers that founded this powerhouse are under attack from the guardians of culture in each country. And the powers that funded the concept are switching to defensive positions as they watch their assets dissolve.

Death from a thousand cuts? Maybe.

The bailouts of Greece, Portugal, Ireland, Cyprus and Spain, as well the bribes to keep counties in the Union have hurt. The Euro debt crisis has been a very sticky situation since 2009. The European Central Bank and IMF (mostly American money) has been able prop up the Euro. But the death blow that keeps on coming is the influx of refugees from the unrest in the Middle East.

We can get into the weeds, but let’s cut to the chase.

German money is the biggest glue that holds the EU together. Germany’s Chancellor, Angela Merkel, pushed to let in a million migrants from another culture (The Middle East) into their country. Then over the holidays, some of the refugee men organized sexual assaults at German public events. The German government got caught trying to cover this up while scolding German women for not dressing in a different way to accommodate the new “citizens.” All this took place with a backdrop of Islamic atrocities in France, Belgium, Italy as well as the non-European world.

migrant-trainThe imminent collapse was clearly signaled last week when EU chief executive Jean-Claude Juncker warned that Europe is on its “last chance.” He even used phrases like, “at the beginning of the end.” The EU’s biggest champion, Merkel called Europe “vulnerable.” She said the fate of the euro is “directly linked” to resolving the migration crisis. France and Britain, the other two big powers in the EU, are also having major problems with violent cultural invaders. It is quickly becoming a choice of whether to keep the Union and its currency or protect their countries.

Imagine what border fences represent emotionally to Germans who remember East Germany.

But in the face of organized rapes that are condoned by the cultural invaders, Germans may demand them. That will be the end of the dream of a modern Europe.

Europe’s passport-free Schengen zone will cease to exist and without it, the Euro has no function.

The leaders have said there must be a solution by spring or else. There’s a meeting in February. Watch the language carefully. It may contain plans that will dismantle the bloc. Probably the best hope is to bribe Turkey to close its borders to cut off access to Greece.

As The European Union breaks apart, the chance of war increases. Russia will take advantage. China will take advantage. Iran will take advantage. America needs to get ready. The pressures of a New World faces our next President.

God bless whoever that will be.

Europe has welcomed the infidels with open arms. It’s sad that these ungrateful people will change Europe into a crime and hateful slum just like the Middle East.

I regret not visiting Germany again several years ago before the invasion. Last time I visited was in 1996 during the war where immigrants destroyed everything they were given by the German and trashed the area where they lived.

Classic example of ‘liberal caring’ without thinking about the consequences. Obama is trying to do the same thing to America but we have to stop him. Republicans and honest democrats need to grow a backbone before it’s too late.

I’m not a fan of Trump — but maybe that’s what we need is someone who is drastically opposed and outspoken about the current policy. I’m pretty sure there would be no Trump without Obama. Americans are fed up.

    • KCMonarch says:

Ooooh…let’s expand on that last thought.

I’m pretty sure there would be no Obama (or middle east refugee crisis for that matter) without Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld.

      Americans were fed up.

      • Jack Springer says:

…. and there would be no Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld without Clinton/Gore. Americans were fed up.

We can keep going if you want, but the world is real trouble right now — focus on the future.

      • Lydia says:

Right Mr. Butterfly. From the time Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld flew those airplanes into the twin towers, our fate was sealed.

        • KCMonarch says:

No but they did invade a sovereign nation that had nothing to do with it. Killed and tortured hundreds of thousands of citizens and stirred up a hornets nest.

The invasion of Iraq, which was justified by false evidence, set the wheels in motion. And now the GOP top candidates are calling for carpet bombing in the same region. We cannot kill our way out of that mess.

I play golf with a guy from France every now and again (He hits it really straight, very controlled.). He made his last trip home to Paris recently (Dude smokes a pipe on the golf course and kinda looks like a French Foreign Legion soldier.).

Anyway, he says that his country, France is ruined, moribund, due to the rapid and uncontrolled influx of “Asians”. He went into detail and explained the deterioration of societal norms, the breakdown of the Rule of Law, the treachery of the politicians etc. etc.

What really struck me, was his lack of indignation and anger (This guy looks like he could bring some heat.). It was, as we sat there, an elegy for his old life and his now dying country, discoursed in a retrospect that implied to me, that the corpse was cold. A monotone, delivered by a loved one who has lost someone close and has come to accept it.

    Great and timely article Valentine.

This, is a run down, on the outrages of just the last 4 days with the “Religion of Peace”.

Last week, in the House of Commons, 3 hours was spent on debating whether of not to admit Donald Trump into Britain. This is the same country, that has allowed almost 2,000, yes two thousand people from Britain, to go fight for ISIS and then return. Pigs are flying.

  3. Stomper says:

I think maybe this is your best piece so far Mark. Two really important topics that I agree are linked to a degree. Personally I think the decision to go to a common currency for the countries in Europe had a noble goal but ended up resulting with possibly grave consequences (sort of like No Child Left Behind). Leaving the immigration issue aside for the moment, taking away the power of an individual nation the ability to control its own currency sets up a serious problem(s). You may not be a fan of the Federal Reserve Bank in this country but having the ability to respond to fluctuations in the economy by exercising control over the monetary policy has prevented what might have become out of control situations here at home. I think a nation MUST have the ability to control its own currency.

    Good stuff Mark.

    • sorry stomp…that’s not our problem. All those countries are in debt just like us. We”’re swimming among sharks and poker players like the dogs in
Saudi Arabia who could bring down the entire economic system we have
left after the rich boys got their big shares of what was left.
$30 a barrel…how low will it go. Much lower and we’re in trouble.
Come travel with me and I’ll show you what stupidity we have running
things. We were too busy. Busy trying to figure out that apple 6s or
how to steal a tv signal so we could watch leave it to beaver for free…too
busy texting/messaging/emailing the person sitting right nedt to us.
Yes sir re….you think americans or Europeans will care about controlling
“the currency” when its worthless and there’s nothing to buy and no stores to buy them from. As the song said “and we all go down together@”
      thanks
      Harley

  4. Phaedrus says:

Who is Andrea Merkel? Is she Angela Merkel’s evil twin sister??

  5. I just logged back in…How embarrassing. Andrea?…well…luckily our editor caught the mistake

  6. Its not looking good. If I was any of the repub candidates for president…I’d
say “thanks…no thanks!” and leave the stage and go back to being a free loader
    again but being happy.
If I was Hillary I’d say “screw this crap”…I want to be a grand mother and not
worry about whether the germans are screwing us///I’ve got better things to do.
If Iwas trump Id cancel all the upcoming rallies aand go visit all his golf courses
    and live to love life.
If I was Obama I’d get on Air force one and tell the pilot “bora bora please” and
    leave the white house today.
We as humans have pretty much got ourselves into a huge jam. I could write
for the rest of my days about who’s fault it is. Whether its the greedy corporations…
the l ying stealing politicians…or the conmen who made their fast bucks and ran
    off.
Who’s to blame for where we are? we all are! Where are the intelligent
ones with the answers. Sure ain’t the ones we have now. Sure…build a yuge fence and cost America billions of dollars…see the crash of major industries that employ
millions of americans (food industry/construction industry/and I’m sure you won’t
mind spending $50 for a steak at price chopper….but it will have to last a month.
Or the ludicrous ideas I hear politicians come up with only to get a vote.
We don’t need another summit…or the united nations….we don’t need
schools (do it all online now)….we don’t need another treaty (all the others seem
to have not improved our situation except we pray the treaty with iran keeps
    them from getting nukes.
No more b.s…I’ve read drudge and huffington and written for other national
    blogs…they’re phony too.
Maybe we need another tragedy. American’s love tragedies because they bring
us together but after that’s forgotten in a month or two.
No more talking…no 100 feet walls…..no walking into a home and pulling out the illegal alien kids like the Nazi’s did during their reign.
The problems are pretty stupid. They have no drinking water in flint, Michigan?
are you serious? WTF caused tht with all the money the government charged us
especially in joco where the split the bills.
No…give me stomper…glaze…hearne….k…..lefty to liven up the meeting…even
Wilson. We really have no problems. We have no problem solvers.
While the earth burns (whether its because of nature or it’s man made) who give
a f*ck. It’s happening and instead of fighting over who’s to blame the planet
flames out. No big deal…the next generations get to deal with it (if we last)
We get people together with ideas (not politics or greed or goofy ideas like
going to war with 2 billion moslems for what. And don’t quote the Koran or the
bible or the torah. Those were written together.
While 1/3 the world starves. While some want a giant war between chritians and jews and moslems. While some want all the money involved in that war.
WE ‘re waiting for at least one problem to be solved We don’t need a3 year race for
tge presidency….we need a problem solver with some brains who isn’t in it for their
ego or because they want to be a part of history.
Was at VA recently and what a mess. Been to a legislative session where people
don’t have fresh new ideas for our problems and don’t even talk to each other.
    Folks….we’re in trouble. Europe/middle east/asia/Russia/mexico/central America/
south America/the arctic…..so many mmesses and no one to clean up the shit left
    behind.
Read where I someday can retire to belize on $40 a day and live like a king.
Doesn’t sound too bad….we’ve been asleep too long and the snooze button is broken.
I don’t care about emails/or if someone cheated on their wife (which 50%) of
    marriages do…I don’t care about where you’re born provided you’re a citizen…
I don’t care what your daughter says or if you have immigrant parents. That’s
all a waste of time for all of us.
The ship is starting to sink. I only have 2 buckets and it won’t make a difference when the ship goes down.
Mr Beck (who I hate) talked of another 9/12…the day after 9/11 when we all felt that pain and agony. Maybe the guys right…we might need a good tragedy because that’s
the only time we get things done and show compassion and love for another.
And don’t feed me this trump stuff. Give me or Wilson or k or glaze 30 minutes with
this guy and you’ll see whata real fool he is. Same with all of them. To contact me email me at Harley@belize.com. Nothing changes but the dates on the calendar. God
bless all of you…god bless America…..what the f*ck are we doing? Leaving the scraps of hate and greed to our kids and beyond.
What a mess have we gotten ourselves into.
And jack p and craig Spielberg glazier…tell those black actors if you can’t act you
don’t win awards. I could care less who wins those self serving assholes getting millions of americans watch some drug crazed actor/actress win a statue.
We’ve got bigger and more important things to worry about. But hurry…the clock’s
ticking and we better find someone with some answers real real fast.

  7. Furioso says:

Didn’t the French have the Charlie Lebdo massacre, the thwarted train attack, and then the Paris slaughter all within a year? Yeah, it’s O V E R for France if the people and politicians don’t take action. I’m thinking the immigrants in France don’t get treated like their French so they’ll never stop their terrorists attacks.

  8. some great comments today…..see ya all when the deck chairs slide into the ocean.

  9. Theives #1: large corporations stashing money in overseas accounts and not
    paying taxes…
    culprits: congress/companies and the pols.
Here’s one example….apple. Hell if I had 18 billion that I paid pols off for I’d
be the next Jobs. Stop this crap now. Trump, Hillary/sanders/cruz couldn’t
do it….so right now the bow side of the boat is starting to go “down”

Analysts believe the stakes could be enormous because of the huge sums of money that Dublin could be forced to recover from Apple. Bloomberg Intelligence estimates the potential clawback at around $8bn, while JPMorgan has argued that Apple could have to pay $19bn in a worst-case scenario.
