President Obama’s in an unwinnable position…
He’s boxed himself into a corner from which he cannot escape. Because if he sends ground troops to fight ISIS his legacy will be destroyed and the Democratic Party will not win in the upcoming elections. Yet to stop ISIS is going to require ground troops.
So Obama cannot beat them without American troops on the ground as fighters or advisers to some other country’s troops.
And the problem with using another country’s troops is the Iraqi Army will not fight and I can’t see any other country supplying boots on the ground in this war.
Obama’s critics are blasting him for not sending troops to Iraq again, but they also know that he can’t because the American public wouldn’t put up with it. And those who support Obama’s position of not using troops also realize ISIS can’t be defeated without the use of US troops.
Obama is probably telling the truth in saying that his staff misjudged ISIS and took them too lightly, however in any situation from a sinking ship to a athletic team losing, the captain is the one who has to take responsibility.
That’s why the captain makes the big bucks and receives the glory or in this case the failure.
That’s just Common Sense, or Calvin Sense if you will…
I don’t want to give the impression I’m piling on Obama because he has enough critics. I’d be making these observations no matter who was president if they were making these same mistakes.
What’s more, Obama can’t win on protecting the borders or the Ebola issue.
Because in each of these cases he’s failed to act swiftly and decisively. That’s why the border problem still exists and the USA is still being flooded with illegal immigrants and the Ebola crisis is growing.
It appears that Obama tries to do what’s politically correct because of the upcoming elections instead of the right thing regardless of the consequences.

Unless Obama changes this indecisive political ways, his presidency will sink to the depths Herbert Hoover’s legacy.

These sensitive political issues simply must be addressed.
And if President Obama’s legacy is destroyed, questions will be raised about him being an African American, bi-racial president, even though a white president might well have made the same mistakes.
History is littered with the mistakes of white presidents.
However there are some who consider President Obama’s mistakes doubly bad because he’s an African American.
This is not fair to him, or to America in general, but lets face it, the racial question does come into play still in many people’s minds.
How this will effect another minority running for president remains to be learned, but hopefully it will not deter another minority candidate from running for office.

I brought up the fact that Obama must use American groud forces immiedately.
The iraquis cant beat the isis threat…the turks won’t fight…the Syrians and
Jordanians don’t want to battle either.
Problem is that Obama has been too casual in this matter. Forget that
we’ve had beheading (horrific astions_ but the president must come on tv
and explain whatis at stake.
ISIS is differnet than al quad…they are smarter and probably have the
ability to crush our computer netwroks. They are centered probably in
another nation (possibly Russia) and have more intelligence and
ability than al quada…and definitely more organized.
They threaten the region. Al quada were not butchers….they were a rag
tag band of terrorirsts who found out how to fight using hit and run tactics.
ISIS must be destroyed…they are taking land and could eventually overrun
bagdad.
But Obama has failed to explain to the nation who they are…what their
goals are and how to deal with them. Heneeds to “sell” America on the
fact that with little numbrs of troops (under 40,000) we can wipe them out.
WE are a few years from being able to no longer need their oil….but they
represent one of the most hideous enemies we’ve faced. They are butchers.
Forgive…never forget.

The “Post Racial” President embraced Identity Politics from day one and hired Eric “My People” Holder to the highest law enforcement position in the land. Obama embraced his black identity and made it a touchstone by which he expected to be judged in anticipation of victories that are now, in retrospect, far and few between. The focus of the Obama presidency has been, is and no doubt, will be for the remaining two years, on multiculturalism, diversity and “Fundamental Change” at the expense of all else.
Of course, he will be judged by the color of his skin, he wanted it that way.
When the President comes out into the Rose Garden and says that “If I had a son, he would look like Trayvon.” with respect to a local law enforcement issue in Florida, before the investigation has even begun, while the press crucifies an already convicted in the public arena perp, because of his “Half White” status, then yeah, Identity Politics is in play and the President wants the American people to know first and foremost, that he is black.
When the President hires an Attorney General, who gleefully testifies before Congress, that he will NOT prosecute ANY black on white hate crimes, because his definition of Hate crime allows ONLY for minority victims, while the prepoderance of unambiguated evidence suggests that most hate crimes are in fact committed by blacks against whites, then yes, the President is indeed hoping that the American people are paying attention to his ethnicity.
When the President, sends the Attorney General to Fergusen Mo. to appease looters and rioters who loot and riot in support of a thug, who minutes before he was shot resisting a police officer, is on VIDEO, again, on fu*king VIDEO robbing a convenience store, then yes, the president wants Americans to know that he is black.
I could go on Calvin, but you get my drift. Look, Bush lied his azz off about WMDs and the ramifications of that galactic blunder will haunt us for several generations, as it is now. That said, the idea that Obama should get a pass, or a wink and a nod in the face of his failures in Health Care, Foreign Policy et al, because he is black is preposterous.
I can remember hearing his first few speeches on the national stage. He looked right, then left, then right, then left and I though it was a metaphor for the inclusion of all Americans in his idea of the American future. Turns out, it was just the teleprompters, but, still, it turned out to be metaphorical.
He was just talking out of both sides of his mouth.

I don’t care what color he is, I just haven’t been happy with the job he’s done. I usually don’t get involved in the political issues on here and I certainly am not quick to pile on Obama. But I’m glad I didn’t vote for him and how long ago does it seem that he was preaching “hope” and “change”? It’s been just 8 more years of partisan politics as usual.
