Whinery: Think You Still Live in a Free Country?

050613_powerplay_full_640On May 5th President Obama gave the commencement address
at Ohio State University in which he issued a warning, as follows…

“Unfortunately, you’ve grown up hearing voices that incessantly warn
of Government as nothing more than some separate, sinister entity
that’s at the root of all our problems… They’ll warn that tyranny’s
always lurking around the corner. You should reject these voices.”

Which voices should we reject?

Those who have told us that the Department of Justice seized the phone
records of Associated Press reporters. Or maybe the ones who brought to the American people’s attention that the IRS has been used to harass Conservative and Jewish nonprofit groups. Should we ignore the ones who have brought the truth about Benghazi to light and that it was a terrorist attack and the CIA warned the State Department of such an incident.

Or maybe we shouldn’t listen to those who say Obamacare will mandate our personal health records be turned over to the IRS, or that we will have “death panels.”

swns_council_photographer_12Are these not examples of a lying, deceitful and TYRANNICAL Government, Mr. President?

For all intents and purposes these examples have made your words at Ohio State ring hollow and have made Alex Jones the “Woodward and Bernstein” of our times.

What else should we not worry about, Mr. President? Should we not take Sen. Rand Paul at his word when he warns that the UN Small Arms Treaty is a backdoor to confiscating guns owned by Americans? How about Sen. Inhofe’s charge that Homeland Security is buying up all the ammo so there is none left for the citizenry to purchase? Or should we discount a Senator from your own Democratic Party, Max Baucus of Montana, who has called Obamacare a “trainwreck.”

And he helped write it!

tinfoilhatAre these Senators merely a bunch of conspiracy theorists, Mr. President?

Its no secret that I’m not your biggest fan, Mr. President, having supported Hillary in 2008 and Romney in 2012, but is that enough to have me classified as a “domestic terrorist?” If the various reports are to be believed that have been written by the Department of Homeland Security- the very fact that I’m a white, gun owning, patriotic male seems to be all it takes to be labeled an “Enemy of the State” these days.

And that is wrong, Mr. President…

stories that have made you famous among the kcc universe.
I really don’t want to remind you of the many many articles that you wrote
during the 2012 campaign that proved pointless includinng the gem story

    in a landslide!!!!!! hahahaha!
You’re not a terrorist…or enemy of the state whiney boy…you’re just a little off kilter in your analysis of the real world and what’s going on.

A sure-fire recipe for disaster is government involvement.

    Free my ass…..

Usually the govenment goes after the ‘liberals’ or the people who want change, like legalize drugs, get out of whatever war we are in at the time, we always are, etc…now they go after some right wing groups. Way it is. Who ever said you were free? Again you and I have rules to follow, the government law and military never have, they do pretty much as they please so no you are not free you answer to the power. The United States Government, we always did and always will. Rules change, their power does not. Our rules change, they don’t have any.

    • the dude says:

I thought mercenaries and private armies did not have to follow rules, that is why they are the fighters of choice when you want to wage modern war these days.

Memba during Katrina when Blackwater soldiers were going door to door to disarm civilians and engaging in firefights with ‘alleged gangmembers’?

      Them was the days man.

  5. david says:

One might want to ask the folks in North Korea, China, even Cuba about tyranny before we begin to throw that word our around here.

Of course, these days hyperbole is now considered analysis.

    • smartman says:

And we all know that harley puts the anal in analysis.

I’ll stand up for anyones right to their own opinion, but not their own FACTS. (and watch the off topic, smoke screen rebuttals come in response to this….)

Its the “dopeler effect”; stupid comments coming at you repeatedly and rapidly in the hope they sound smarter than they are!)

“I hate to see those things go on..but sh*t happens…low level underlings do stupid things…”

The IRS Commissioner LIED. Thats now fact.
The acting Commissioner is implicated up to his eye balls.
The DIRECTOR, Lerner, 2 levels removed from the Commissioner desgined the program to scrutinize the nonprofits. She’s admitted it.

If thats low level, where are the high level people??

“low level underlings do stupid things”

Blind apologists and low information people always get it …………….WRONG. Facts just dont matter.

  6. paulwilsonkc says:

Penn Jillette, one of the most liberal guys out there says on Imus this morning; all those right wing whack jobs we thought were crazy are ending up being right! We live in interesting times.

Too bad it’s just us ‘merica hate’n, gun toten Bible readin publicans diggin up dirt to cover for how well the economy is doing!

    • the dude says:

The funny part or maybe unfunny is that when republican point this kind of thing out peiople get fired and somewhat take accountability for their actions.
If this was Dubya and it was done to liberal political groups he would tell the press to go F themselves.

      • paulwilsonkc says:

Dude, none of its funny no matter which side youre on. The biggest issue is, once you hit anything about local/city politics, the desire to sell your soul over comes any good you may or may NOT have intended to do when you started your public service career. No longer do any of those people, on either side, prepresent us and any one is silly to think otherwise.

And when scandals hit, it gets brushed aside as its just expected. Some people on here OK it, because it was just going after small time tea party groups. What would they think when its their turn in the barrel and they are coming after them? Im sure it wouldn’t look so good then.

This has nothing to do with Republican or Democrats, they are all equally dirty. And when Benghazi comes out to have been about gun running to Syria, it won’t live long enough to see jail for anyone.

Black helicopters and tin foil hats dont look so silly any more. When Glen Beck sounds sensible, you know we’ve got problems!

        • david says:

“When Glen Beck sounds sensible, you know we’ve got problems!”

          Good thing we’re not there yet… Gold is down 18% this year, DJIA +16.5%, S&P 500 +15.3%…

Also, keep in mind that we are all worked up over 75 conservative organizations out of 300 total applications set aside for further review. This is out of 3,500 applications received in 2010 and 2011.

It sucks for those who were subjected to the ‘tyranny’, but it’s still a pretty small scandal.

+ 4 this article… ‘politics’ per the usual.
