The drought is over with. YEA!!!! SEVEN DAYS and 14 blogs before we talk about the chiefs. Meanwhile they lose a game, cut a zillion players, and it turns out that Trey is a trendsetter as two other coaches fire their offensive coordinator. Where has OTC been? Covering a guy that can stand on his hands. And then foolishly walk towards the edge of the cliff. Yeah, that was inspirational. Kind of like my drunk buddy wanting to drive with a blind fold on.

Seriously. I get the labor day weekend, vacations, and not as many readers. But you should use that to your advantage. Get a cub reporter or a fan to write when you guys decide to disappear. Heck I’m sure Jo-Blow would of wrote a book for you. And I heard plenty of weekend radio comments about Scott and Todd and the mistakes they’ve already made, and that was by national radio folks.

I need a regular OTC fix.

I put this teams pussy ways squarely on the shoulders on Clark Hunt.

One more thing, and then I wont discuss peeonme or haleyboy anymore. Any fkn douchebag GM who says “cut day” is fun WILL NEVER command the respect of his team or me. FK that idiot who enjoys firing men, on one the worst days of their life,,,FK peeonme.

And haleyboy is a nothing…zero, zilch. This is not a corporation, based on accountability. The GM and “coach” must be fired, but they are not the problem. The idiot who hired them is the probelm. Clark’s life is based on nepotism, and country club BS,and that IS NOT what wins in the NFL.

I never would talk shit about his father. We owed Lamar Hunt way too much, BUT, Clark is a fkn pussy.

Ownership is the problem here. If you look at the great teams, behind them is a power hungry, crazed, WANNA WIN, great owner.

    WHO WINS SUPERBOWLS???
Jerry Jones, Debartalo, Kraft, Rooney..etc etc…what do we have…Clark the pussy.

UNtil he grows some balls and takes control in a NFL WINNING FASHION, the cheifs will be as big as pussies as he is. We are headed back to a 20,000 fans in Arrowhead days,,,,,and it makes me sad,,,,sad for now,,,and soon after…I wont care enough to write about it.

The solution is easy, hire Jimmy Jones coach and GM , let him run it in an NFL fashion.

    OR
hire someonme else to run it correctly,

the idiot show going on at OUR ARROWHED is pathetic….

What a couple of FKING LOSER BITCHES peeonme and haleyboy…
    “cut day is fun” …
“I NEVER PLAYED FOOTBALL, BUT I SAY ACCOUNTABILITY IS MOST IMPORTANT”

    AND
CLARK HUNT ACCOUNTABLE TO THE FANS OF KANSAS CITY FOR HIRING THEM.

at least the DirecTV NFL ticket will beam REAL FOOTBALL INTO OUR LIVINGROOM.

AND would anyone care to explain how the fkn LOSER chiefs spent only 82 million last year, while the DALLAS COWBOYS spent 152 million??

In 2011, when the salary cap comes off, The Cowboys will be the Yankees..and the Chefs will the Royals…..and both KC teams will be perpetually in the basement of both MLB AND NFL …. WTF?????

Good, interesting takes from KK and the 810 boys. No wonder their No.1 in this town. 610, hire Whitlock back. He’s the only person who can save you!

would some please explain how and why the chiefs only spent 82 million last year while Dallas paid 152 million??

whne the salary cap comes off in 20011, the chefs will be JUST LIKE THE ROYALS/YANKEES, IT WILL BE the CHIEFS/COWBOYS, when Jerry Jones spend 500 million and the chefs will spend 30 milllion…and we will be fkd….

I have no idea what the context was over the “cut day is fun”. But if your thoughts are all of a sudden the market is flooded with a bunch of players and you are wondering if their are some diamonds in the rough so to speak I could see where their might be excitement and fun in that. Kind of like opening a package of baseball cards wondering what you are going to get.

Baltimore isn’t that great on offense. A Brandon Flowers INT taken to the house could make Sunday a lot more interesting than people are expecting.

He said cut day in the NFL is fun.

This a day when men lose thier jobs, and is one of the worst days of their life.

This douche thinks players respect a fkr who talks like that?, this idiot thinks men will be loyal to a fkr who talks like that?, this ahole thinks players will fight for him??….THEY WILL SAY FK HIM, trade me to a real team.

This organization ( it is NOTa team )is lost…adrift…and it’s fans are fkd, relegated to another dismal season. peeonme is the ONLY one having fun, he must be insane.

ah, fk this, I am losing interest, if they dont care why should I?

It will be harder for the Chiefs to score on Sunday than jojo at the Punta Ranch in Mexico. Let’s just all chill, have a beer, jerk off or take some oxycontin and give the Chiefs 8 games to show us something. All the pissing and moaning is turning this blog into a bad episode of The View. And by the way jojo still no official denial from you that you are running the local Acorn chapter.

Fix it–You are barking up the wrong tree in blaming Clark Hunt for the problems with this team. It rests squarely on the shoulders of his father Lamar.

We had two general managers in almost 50 years of Chiefs football. Both of them did well in their first 10 years but after that each one forgot about the team and consolidated their power.

Clark was responsible for getting rid of the last one who had every title known to man and had the organization wrapped around his finger. Clark extricated us from that and tried to do it in a way that wouldn’t hurt the organization.

Did Clark wait too long to get rid of Herm? Yes and that limited the number of candidates that were out there to interview because many had been hire. Pioli is a different story because he was the top GM candidate but again Clark took too much time deciding which affected the coaching search.

The teams problems today are the responsibility of Carl Peterson and his poor drafts over the last 7-10 years. Clark had nothing to do with that and his father was still in charge at the time. Give him a break and let the season play out. Why borrow trouble when we haven’t seen one league game? Are the Chiefs going to the playoffs? No, but as the year goes on they might surprise us. Don’t give up yet!

tom j-7 days is longer then a holiday. Christmas I’ll be giving your girl a special treat. WTF. Don’t you have anything better to do the slam me and be concerned with what I’m doing for a week. STRANGE!!!
bschull-yes as a kid it was exciting to open up a pack of baseball cards. you even got gum back then. Of course its not as exciting as living in Independence and watching mom make the latest batch of meth. And having the police come by and wondering which one is dad.

I’m with ya’ Rick. I’m an OTC junkie and a day without Greg just sucks. But Greg does have a REAL JOB, and a family so I understand. I wish Brian would write more concert reviews and Adam more book reviews. John Mark Eberhart is great and it’s been ages since he’s posted. I don’t know when Mark Edelman got into jazz but it’s clear he’s got an agenda, he wants to get his radio program syndicated on NPR. I’m sure he’s not doing it all for free or to turn KC into a jazz mecca. For the record, I could be wrong. The jazz scene in KC is worse than the sports scene. Ron and Jon are gone. jojo writes more in one rant than Peregrine Honig writes in a year and I hate to say it but jojo makes more sense. Hearne isn’t any edgier here than he was at the Star. Word is he’s going through a divorce and some other personal stuff so maybe he’s not fully engaged. I was hoping for more from KCC than being a PR machine for the advertisers.

Good comments DB. At some point maybe I’ll write a 5 point list of ways to improve. Hey what happened to the advice column? I don’t think that would of been successful but they had this BIG announcement and then nothing. Obviously the goal is to drive people to the site which will then attract advertisers. At least that’s how I think it works. I think they can do some things in that regard. Also I have to wonder if Jo-Blow is gone. Maybe he messed up his probation and is back in the big house. I could read OTC every day but I’m picky. No interest in college football and not much in Royals.

Greg, nice job buddy, very funny, and you and I are on the same page, this is not going to be pretty for KC…love the mowing the lawn second half, might be second quarter…great work

excellent points, and you are correct, I juts cannot lay into the man who brought us football ( I also respect the dead …so ),,,,,so I will lay into his boy, but your points are well taken.

When I read the lawn mowing comment I thought “Great Hall is going to miss another record setting sack day (And yes Greg I still think it was on TV)but this time it might be against the Chiefs.”

From the quotes in the column to the posts this has to be the most bizzare and surreal OTC’s of all time and that’s without jojo.

Wow rick. You sell insurance don’t you.
Can tell by the anger in your post. Truth is that if this is all you look forward to then something is very very wrong.
What else excites you. Waiting for the new season lineup on TV Land? Catching the Jerry
Springer reruns? Playing pin ball at Chuckie
    Cheese? WTF?
Do something beside playing with yourself while
you wait for the next “exciting” post on
    KC confidential. WTF?
Get a life. Maybe open the shades in your
bedroom. I’m not the one who wrote that he got
excited opening a pack of baseball cards!
You did. Something very strange about Rick.

smartman qoute: “lets just have a beer, jerkoff..”
OMG. Are you Rick’s brother? Maybe his daddy?
Lets jerkoff? Is that your idea of fun?
Maybe try one of those internet dating services since you are so adept at working a keyboard.
    Or maybe hookers.
Jerkoff? Is that what you do while watching the
    NFL? Jerkoff?
Hearne should be real proud of all of you and how socially adapted each of you are.
His advertisers must be after the type c
    personality basement breeding computer hacking
single men who read dirty books that they keep
under their beds so mom won’t find them.
