Soggy Funk Fighters Fight to Finish; Zieman vs. Funk, Feud w/o End

My personal take on the campaign to derail KC Mayor Mark Funkhouser: well-intentioned-but-bogus…

If the folks involved channeled their efforts into something truly positive the city would be better off.

Not that I blame them, mind you.

Who wouldn’t want regime change given the incessantly injurious

am I the only one that thinks it is a bit unreal that a newspaper is leading a recall effort?
I’d feel differently if there was another newspaper in kansas city – but there is not.
how can we take ANY reporting fromn the KC star about the mayor, his admin or the city as fact when they are clearly out to get him?

this, to me, is one of the biggest questions facing newspaper media in the coming 10 years – will they continue down the road of political activism playing outside the laws of politics (ethics, etc.) or will they actually get back to the news?

The Star is getting to the point where it is embarrassing itself with its lack of influence. Outside its excellent two sports columnists, there are just no more opinion shapers left there. that’s what hypocracy and lack of intellectual diversity will get you.

The Star is done…no Northland section anymore so why bother? I can read sports online w/o the paper. If the column is good, it’ll be published somewhere else.

The star is a joke and so are all these idiots that want a recall. Get a life losers.
