Glazer: Move Over NFL, Get Ready for Hillary v. The Donald

Clash of the Titans movie image

Donald Trump won big again…

Not only that, his margins of victory were large again. The negatives that had been hurled his way seemingly didn’t stick. Trump held a one hour news conference as soon as he knew he’d taken Mississippi and Michigan, and during that one hour speech he made it clear that he feels it’s close to over with him being the Republican nominee.

Now he’s talking about uniting the party so they can beat Hillary Clinton. He even had a nice chat with Paul Ryan. He says he likes Ryan and they can and will work together soon.

Lets be honest.

If Trump takes Florida and Ohio its over.

True, John Kasich may win Ohio. However it really just makes him a potentially stronger candidate for vice president under Trump. More importantly, if Trump falls short on delegates for the convention, he could team up with Kasich. The Ohio Governor would make a strong number two on the ticket.

Marco Rubio will likely lose Florida to Trump and that’s the end of Little Marco.

At this point in time. Rubio has won next to nothing.

Lying Ted Cruz is clearly the No. 2 man in the race, but that’s mostly because he won his home state of Texas. He really has few other big wins.

Now let’s talk turkey.

Hillary Clinton will defeat Bernie Sanders and be the Democratic candidate.

It now appears clear that Trump will be her rival for the White House. And as Trump has pointed out, the enthusiasm for Hillary and the Dems has fallen hard since Obama was elected. Far fewer Democrats are going to the polls to vote versus the Republicans. And Hillary losing Michigan to Sanders was a strong signal that she can be beaten in November.

One key state that has in recent years always gone to the Dems is New York. And it’s likely that state would go to Trump. And as he continues to gain energy, Hillary’s campaign just doesn’t show the same excitement.

We all know many of the negatives on Trump.

maxresdefaultHowever the other night he cleared most of that up.

They just can’t stop him.

There seems to be no path to victory for Cruz and Rubio is a bit nuts to think winning his home state would turn the tide with nothing else going for him. Kasich has a shot to win Ohio but not much else.

Hey, it’s over.

The sooner we get down to Hillary Clinton versus Donald Trump the better.

The media is so in love with Trump – far less so Clinton – and you can bet that matters. The problem is the media wants to keep its focus on the current race with Cruz and Rubio because it makes for great TV.

But just wait until Hillary has to debate Donald Trump.

Oh brother, imagine those ratings – NFL playoff numbers at least.

What was once considered a mild joke – a Donald Trump presidency – is now very much a reality.

  1. miket. says:

his presidency isn’t a reality yet, cg. I mean, were that true, he’d BE president. sure, I’m nitpicking. the possibility of there being a trump presidency is realistic. go so far as to say it could be likely, but not a reality.

but I do agree that a trump vs. clinton debate would be must-see tv and have no doubt it would pull huge ratings.

  2. DUH! You nitwit! Everything here is what Harley hs said for 8 months.
And now you come around and say Hillary beats dumpster.
    Harley reigns supreme.
    Much more to come.
But you looked like an idiot when Harley outlined trumps mob past and you
had an article outlinng he had no mob connections. Wait old man….theres
    more to come.

  3. Jim a.k.a. BWH says:

I find it hilarious that the Repubs have spent the last decade creating someone like Trump and now they can’t figure out how to stop him. Dr. Frankenstein, meet Monster. Congrats, fellas!

What a choice November is going to bring. Con-Man vs Con-Woman?

    Awesome(*sarcasm font).

  4. Kerouac says:

    “They just can’t stop him”

    – agreed – this is the most important election in memory, my opine… if this country remains in the morass of the last eight years under that (cue empty chair Eastwood referred to), the worst (excuse) for a President in my lifetime, the country formerly known as the United States of America will never again be what it once was… great. Hence, why Trump has tapped into said sentiment, and why people dismiss the lies the media and of polls that try (and fail) to sway/indicate otherwise.

“If Trump takes Florida and Ohio its over.”

    – ‘if’? Trump’s detractors variously the vanquished (Cruz, Rubio, politocs et al and the media) have thrown everything and anything (with no concern as to accuracy) but the kitchen sink at him, and like a Timex he ‘takes a licking and keeps on ticking’.

The polls – accurate as aN broken Timex, i.e. twice a day – serve but the agenda those delivering them. As it stands, NO ONE knows who will win R vs D November. Each of us chooses believe what we will, but only time will prove or dis anything eight months hence.

Trump/Kasich? Maybe. Once upon a time, Rubio might have been a candidate for VP; no more. Cruz has sealed his fate an exile second banana possibility, Christie? Uh… no. For that matter, who will Clinton or Sanders choose as their running mate? Could one choose the other? The only thing would provide more intrigue would be the winner of the Presidency – R or D, whicever – being forced to take the other party loser as their VP; and you thought things couldn’t get any worse.

“The media is so in love with Trump – far less so Clinton”

    – the media favors hildabeast – they only love Trump to the extent that they can pile on him. As you said, he is unstoppable, despite said efforts against him. The attempt by the media to diminish him is not unexpected; the attempt by his own party to try and sabotage him, less so.

Alas, almost get the impression that some those types the R would rather see Clinton elected than Trump, i.e. cut off their own nose just to spite their face. Trump has ‘we the people’ behind him an much larger extent than they believed possible… will be no more business as usual Washington, Trump in charge. This clearly scares the political establishment to no end; Kerouac is enjoying immensely watching their knees shake – not to mention those will be on the losing side, the Dems.

  5. Frank says:

“if Trump falls short on delegates for the convention, he could team up with Kasich. The Ohio Governor would make a strong number two on the ticket.”

If Trump falls short, Kasich isn’t gonna drop him a lifeline by being his VP running mate. Kasich isn’t an uneducated fool like the uneducated supporters that Trump “loves”.

    • Guy Who Says What Others Think says:

Disagree. Kasich is no idiot. He knows the VP seat puts him in a great spot to possibly be president one day. What’s the old saying? Politics makes for strange bedfellows?

      • Frank says:

Maybe he’s betting that all the hatred for Trump around the world will make him president by April following the election.

  6. KCMonarch says:

The Drumf has on more than one occasion announced that he would use his power as Commander in Chief to commit war crimes against innocents. And when advised the military has a duty to refuse such orders he boasted “they will do what I say.”

There is no “clearing up” statements like that!

“I love the poorly educated.” – Donald Drumpf

  7. Kerouac says:

“Hillary Clinton” and “Move Over NFL”

    – speaking of losers – two, no waiting – hildabeast & the swiss – another underwhelming football season appends, and like clockwork, a number of swiss fans already exclaiming just the opposite. Why? Delusion/Insanity runs in kingdoms, gridiron as political same.

Among proclamations emanating red kool-aid faction locally: “We’ve had a great free agent off-season with all our signings” & “we are clearly the favorite to win the West”; cue ‘Show Me State’ eyerolls & George Armstrong Custer’s ‘famous last words’, same.

Like a Presidential election already in t’H’e bag according some, an asterisk* smeared 2015 football campaign (tampering re: maclin) tries to convince itself same, where no factual basis exists.

The swiss to date merely resigned their cadre losers from last season who became free agents (hali, johnson, dinkle-berry, howard and zombo). So a defense that was already not good enough to advance post season retains its same players and is a year older; in fact, two of them are already middle 30’s nod age, wear & tear.

    Strike 1.

They also lost two players (Branch and Smith) who started for them, the former who saw a lot of playing time, and the latter their best DB – who also made matters worse by joining the up and coming Raiders, who will challenge the Broncos for #1 the West 2016, the loser finishing in second place. Oh, the swiss did add one player… a backup LB named massaquoi (gesundheit).

    Strike 2.

Surely then, offense must have been buoyed by copious infusions numbers and talent.

They lost 3 their own players, 2 of whom who started games (Allen, Stephenson) and another (Daniel) who was the only thing standing ‘tween alice smith & murray/bray, latter two with exactly 0 NFL regular season games played/experience ‘tween them.

All the swiss added (aft losing 2) was one new offensive lineman (schwartz), a member the vaunted Cleveland Browns 2015 (if you thought the swiss had problems in allowing 46 sacks, the former Brown was a member an o-line that allowed 53 sacks; an line that included Pro Bowlers Joe Thomas & Alex Mack & allowed ‘zero’ QB sacks to all of those swiss ‘all pros’ abounding our defense (one that was almost beaten by Johnny Manziel-led 3-13 Browns.)

    Strike 3.

Yes, ‘this is our year’ Kansas City – Superbowl, here we come. Or just maybe, like the Presidential election same, wait a while… see what else shakes out afore fall, to include the World’s best & West’s finest ‘WORLD CHAMPION’ Denver Broncos choice to lead them at QB. Kaepernick? Fitzpatrick? Another, maybe a rookie? We can be sure that football’s greatest team & GM Elway will once again have an answer just as they did 2015 when even an 40-ish cripple was enough to topple ‘Superman’ in Superbowl 50.

  9. Craig says:

As an independent, I’m ready for a candidate with some machismo (aka “balls”) to lead the country. Many salaries are what they were in the ’80s. Terrorists watch us bend over backwards to show our civility and laugh at us. If anyone can get us out of this mess, it’s Trump. We’re tired of the silver-tongued smooth talkers who don’t make good decisions, let evil run wild until it kills millions, make our borders meaningless and can’t get anything done that helps the American people.

  10. CG says:

Not a surprise no thats not my post above. I just report what I hear and see. Trump is winning and the media and voters are all about the guy. I don’t think Trump got hurt in last nights debate. Tuesday will tell us a truck load about how this will all end, at least who gets the Republican nomination. My guess is that Trump will win Florida and likely three of the other states. I think John Kasich wins Ohio in a close race.

I don’t think any of the candidates are ‘eveil’ they all mean well and all have giant egos. They always do. No matter who wins the white house America will be just fine.

    • glaza….he reports what he sees and hears.
Hopefully trump gets nomination…then the real fun starts…..
these debates have become boring and little marco and liar ted need
to go back to their day jobs of doing nothing.
Who cares who wins florida….hopefully its over real soon and
      we can get on.
But before the election the winds are blowing very strong and we could
see major event prior to November.
      It’s starting RIGHT N
      OW.
Harley with his international and national contacts will be writing
a major article for national publication about this.
Stay tuned. Harley has been right all the way….from previous elections
to insignificant items as picking the super bowl winners.
Prepare for some very intriguing and unsettling news!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

KCMONO MAN, thanks for helping. I didn’t know you spelled evil that way. I’m so sorry for that….NOT…its called a typo…but you already knew that…maybe say…gee Craig you called the Trump win long before anyone in KC media…good one…but no…of course not…by the way I find him interesting and unique as a candidate…will he be a good prez…don’t know…willing to find out though…can it be worse? I think its all bout the same for the most part.

  11. chuck says:

Mr. Trump, is indeed, in harm’s way as I previously mentioned. In addition, I mentioned the violence in this election season and it is just getting started.

Mr. Trump’s supporters were turned away by the Police after Progressive/Fascist agents/rioters threatened and delivered violence this evening. Talking heads will now blame the victims for their views and opinions and justify the heretofore mentioned violence as just desserts for those with the temerity to disagree with the Liberal/Progressive narrative.

    The worm turns.

I see bloody blowback with a steady bearing and decreasing range.

  12. streamfortyseven says:

Here’s a comment I posted in the facebook group “Trump Out Of KC”. After getting quite a few positive responses over the course of five minutes, it was taken down by the moderator of the group:

“The fascist clown I really oppose is Hillary Clinton, she’s *far* more dangerous than Trump and has been complicit in the murders of hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of innocent people.

The lions’ share of the people who show up for Trump are going to be the working and middle class people who became Republicans after the Democratic Party ditched them in the 1990s, when the Clintons pushed through NAFTA. Hillary is now trying – on the sly – to get TPP through Congress, and if she becomes President, it’ll be a done deal. Trump was against NAFTA in the early 1990s, and he’s against TPP, and he says he wants to bring these peoples’ jobs back to the US. That’s a powerful incentive for them, and they have seen their jobs and their hope go down the toilet. That’s why they support Trump so enthusiastically. They’re not fascists – although they easily could become so – they’re desperate. They can still recall having a comfortable life, and that’s draining away, day by day.

As it turns out, Bernie was – vocally – against NAFTA: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FOWYkBT9i3k and he opposes TPP as well. A lot of the votes for Bernie in the Topeka caucus were crossover Republicans. It’s possible that some of the people at the Trump event might cross over too, if they get the information. If you scream at them and call them fascists and racists, you’ll only confirm them in their beliefs, further polarize them, alienate them, and make them harden their position. The great majority aren’t bad people, they’re desperate people, looking for relief, and since they’re Republicans, they go for Trump.

It’s important, this is no joke. I’ve got a copy of William Shirer’s book on the Third Reich, published in 1939, about the events in Nazi Germany in the 1930s. The Communists made things worse by polarizing German society – and they pushed a lot of people into the ranks of the Nazis, people who otherwise would not have done so. Hitler was elected, he didn’t seize power. The parallels are striking.”

Now, Trump is no fascist, no more than Bernie Sanders. Their policies on trade agreements over the past 25 years are nearly identical, and there are other similarities and differences as well. If Trump were running on his 2000 platform, their policies would be nearly identical, and they’re still much closer now, policy-wise, to each other, than they are to the Democratic Establishment candidate, Hillary Clinton, or to the presumptive Republican Establishment candidate, Ted Cruz. And Cruz’s policy stances are so close to Hillary’s, there’s not a sliver of light between them – and they’re Prayer Breakfast buddies in DC, too. This is a battle to get rid of the neo-cons, but the people on “Trump Out Of KC” are just spoiling for a fight, and their opposites are probably looking for the same thing, and they’ll probably get it. The KCPD may have a busy day.

    • unfortunately you should be a clownin the brookside parade.
But your busy making up stories and information about untruths.
you will be crying in November.
dems pick up 2 points on loudmouth trummpster…now lead by

      go back to Nazi Germany!

    Harley

Harley, creating a new “twitter” account does not mean you are writing an article for a “national publication”.

The only “winners” you pick are out of your nose while pounding away at your nasty keyboard after an all night meth binge.

    • regardless…the insults mean nothing except to probably the fools
like glaza/Goober/and the guyopening up his own hot dog stand
by spending his afternoons in some plaza joint.
It’s okay….Harley can handle the insults. Fact remains Harley is
always right and no I don’t have a twitter account.
Write for major blogs and get hundreds of responses because Harley
      is right.
I’ve already converted glaza and Wilson to write that Hillary will win
in November. After this spat is over between these people it gets
down to letting America know who the real trumpster is. Then we
have the president endorse Hillary then debates where dumpster won’t
just have to answer questions for 16 minutes he’ll have to explain himself
for 2 hours…which he can’t since he knows nothing besides the same
old b.s. (build a wall…which even a so called expert here on kcc
said would take 10 years!)or that we’ll negotiate better deals with
china and japan while trumpster has to pay more for his own clothing
line and he’ll have to show his taxes and the media (who trumpster hates)
will unleash the most brutal information and take him down.
And he’ll have to answer so many question he won’t have time to
have sex with that lanky stupid blonde daughter he lusts for.
In the meantime, the Hispanic vote which will probably go 90%
democratic is adding 2 million new voters a month……and essetniall
the whole thing will be over.
We’ll be left with a lot of old poor white guys like chucklets (I noticed
others on here are using the name for this guy I originated) so boys
continue being my readers/followers and disciples…Harley reigns
supreme and I find it great that I turned glaza and the former box salesman
into following what I’ve been saying for 2 years!
      Happy st. pats day.
I’ll be in the parade again.
      thanks
      Harley

everything goes the way Harley says it does.
glaza: maybe 20% of the time he’s right
      k: 0%!
glad that glaza and Wilson have seen the light and posted that they
expect Hillary to win the general. Thank you.

  14. CG says:

Wow what a show the TRUMP IS…the reality is being the next prez has some importance but its gonna be for the most part business as usual no matter who the prez is…all this yelling and screaming is just our own view of the world being placed on someone elses shoulders…in the end all will be well. Kinda

  15. Read where Bill Bennett (another blowhard like k/glaza/trump) said that the
dems and repubs are going to kill trump!
And almost e ery repub I know says they’re not voting for trump under any
    circumstances.
And now he says he has to fundraise….guys a liar…………….lets
just have the election now with Hillary up 10 points.
Me/glaza and Wilson finally all agree….Hillary wins in November! That’s amazing that so many divergent views can agree on something!

  16. Guy Who Says What Others Think says:

Is it funny that the folks who preach for tolerance and free thought/speech are the first ones to try and suppress it when the speech doesn’t fit their narrative?

    • CG says:

Agreed. It’s really not a great idea for the media to interview protesters who were kicked out and what happened. Now that lets others know they too can be interviewed and be ‘famous’ for a minute…not a smart thing to do….Hopefully it will slow down who knows.

    • Frank says:

I agree. I mean, just because Donald’s Nazi and fascist attitudes don’t fit my narrative doesn’t mean I shouldn’t hear the man out. He’s not gonna tell me anything new. Well, that’s not true. He certainly will allow us to know that he’s a bigger fascist then we already know. After all we do allow for Fred Phelps’ family to speak their mind. I know you would agree that we should allow them with open arms at military funerals.
