New England quarterback Tom Brady is considered the best in modern NFL history…
In fact, a win Sunday in Super Bowl 49 will insure Brady that title. It will be his sixth Super Bowl and maybe win number 4. More impressive is the fact that Brady will have done this over a 12 year period. Most quarterbacks – in fact all of them – won their championships in much shorter career spans. This would be a title 12 years after Brady’s first and nobody has come close to that mark.
On top of all that, Brady is as handsome as any movie star out there.
He’s nearing 40 but looks 30. His wife is supermodel mega millionaire Gisele Bundchen and she’s just three years younger than her husband. The Brady’s built a $22 million dollar mansion in Brentwood California last year. In many ways they’re the perfect celebrity couple.
Yet the hating on Tom and Gisele online is brutal. Why?
Brady no longer gets involved in online battles. Having to see hateful comments about his wife and his own integrity is just too painful. Here’s a man who’s done all he can to be the best at everything he does and still many people out there still hate him.
It’s the way of social media these days.
In decades past Brady would have been looked upon like a Johnny Unitas or John Wayne.
Instead today, people talk about him as a cheater, say his wife is a whore and that they are somehow bad people.
We see this with many big name stars today, Charlie Sheen, Tiger Woods, Kim Kardashian to name just a few. Woods cheated on his wife. Sheen uses drugs. Kim is, well, Kim.
Nothing they’ve done is much different than most famous rich people, nor is it different from most regular people.
People hate on them because of their success.
Most “regular” folks feel because they don’t get to lead these exciting lives and because they’re not super rich or famous. To them, that makes people like Tom Brady somehow a bad guy.
So what most celebrities end up doing is withdrawing and becoming less available to the public because of the hate game.
Well not Kim K – she makes a living at it – but most don’t.
And since Charlie Sheen’s massive media attention for getting high all the time, sleeping with too many girls and being outrageous (or so we were told), he’s gotten very quiet. Yet he remains a success. Tiger Woods still plays good golf when he’s not injured but the attention to his past marriage and life of being a playboy has died down to nothing.
In the case of the Patriots going to the Super Bowl, all the talk is about them cheating with deflated balls – something that meant little really.
It’s interesting that nobody is talking much about double murder guy Aaron Hernandez, the former Patriots Tight End and superstar who’s still in prison awaiting his murder trial. Three years ago he was their top receiver, now he’s all but forgotten.

I knew Joe, hung with him a few times when he was a Chief, but I believe Brady is overall better…longer Super Bowl career in number 6 after 12 years..Joe didn’t do that…and its number 6…Joe didn’t do that…and Tom’s arm is much stronger at 37 than Joe’s…I can keep going. Joe was great one of the all time best. Brady goes down as THE BEST…sorry way it is there will be little argument. Unless he sucks Sunday..he won’t.
