Whinery: And the Survey Says…

Women at WarEvery now and then a public opinion poll comes out that shocks even the political junkies…

A mind boggling 29 percent of Americans believe that “In the next few years an armed revolution might be necessary in order to protect our
liberties.”

An armed revolution, people.

It broke down by political party with 18 percent of Democrats believing that, 27 percent of Independents and a WHOPPING 44 percent of Republicans. What is even more disturbing is that an almost equal number of men and women- slightly more men – were willing to fight in an armed rebellion- ready to take up arms.

jones5WTF, has feminism turned the “fairer sex” warlike?

And just when you think this survey can’t get any worse, 25 percent of
the respondents believe Sandy Hook was a fraud perpetrated by the
government to take away our guns. Has certified, conspiracy crackpot Alex Jones gone mainstream?

Having monitored the National Rifle Association‘s convention this
weekend, I must say that there must be some credence to this poll.

continental_soldier-3FULL DISCLOSURE: I’ve been a lifetime member of the NRA since 1994, although I’m a somewhat pathetic member not having fired a gun in over a decade.

Nonetheless, I’m a member and the membership of my beloved
organization looks like they’re ready for a war.

Is this what our country is degenerating into?

All these hatreds and ideological divisions are becoming troublesome
to say the least. Whatever happened to the term, “Loyal Opposition?”

But where is our President, the “Uniter” of our country? He’s down in
Mexico all but admitting that the USA illegally seized the Southwestern
United States and blaming the violence in their country on American
guns and our insatiable lust for narcotics. All of which Obama has a
point on, but I can see where the “average” American questions where Our President’s loyalties lie.

hauptmann_003For the first time in my life I’m worried. I harken back to my
undergrad Political Science classes and my favorite professor, Dr.
Jerzy Hauptmann’s lectures on the “Panarchy.” Which is a theory that 5 percent of every country on the planet’s population will fight its
Government until the “last breath of air leaves their lungs.”

That’s more than enough to overwhelm the government’s resources.

Is this the dark path we are on?

mahatma-gandhi-1Are we gonna end up enmeshed in violent revolution?  I’m a believer in the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi and non-violent civil disobedience. However, I also believe that I’m a product of enlightened ways of looking at things and don’t want to believe what is before my very eyes.

Are we, as a Country frayed so bad that violent revolution is a real possibility? People are not only angry these days, they’re desperate.

May the Good Lord help us, because our leadership is making things worse.

And this is different than in the 60’s and 70’s when the Black Panthers, Weather Underground, SDS, and anti government factions of all kinds bombed and murdered in the name of revolution? Ask Barack’s buddy Bill Ayers if he thinks that violence should be used for changed.

We have our current day anarchists, Occupy nuts, Allah seekers and end of the world warners (warmers?) just aching to bring down the man and impose their ideology on us. It is what it is my friend, like it always has been.

  2. smartman says:

This was truly a great piece of news! Hell, yeah we need a revolution. The days of politics and diplomacy to settle our differences are long gone. Time to water the tree of liberty with the blood of tyrants and patriots.

Like all of the great civilizations of the past we are destined for destruction or re-invention. History demands it.

Organizations like the NRA and Oath Keepers just need to sound the call to arms and we can turn this country back into something that looks like what the Founding Fathers wanted. Probably less than six months. I’m assuming that Roger Ailes will be our sides presumptive war time leader.

It’s not if, it’s when. When we get to 40% let the war games begin.

Prepare! Six months worth of food, water, fuel and medicine and 10,000 rounds of ammo. Get started at patriotsupply.com

I’m there baby! Got body armor, Night Vision Goggles, all the good stuff to wage urban warfare. I’ll make Slobodan Milosevic look like Pee Wee Herman.

I’m not alone. Several million people across the US have been preparing and waiting with dignity and the patience of Job for the call to serve. Law enforcement and the military are on our side.
Sorry democrats and commie libs but it’s easier to get the change we need by pulling a trigger than a voting lever.

This time around “hanging Chad” is gonna have a whole new meaning.

Hey, Harley, when the day comes your ass is mine.

Under normal circumstances you’d get a bullet in the head. Quick and painless.

But you harley, need to be taught a lesson. We’ll start with cutting off your feet and cauterizing the wounds with a blow torch. I can hear you screaming already.

I find it interesting the number of times your friend has blasted all the KCC people’s and the blog itself, over on TKC, stating he would never comment here again. But alas, here’s our irrelevant case of commenting herpes; the gift that keeps on giving. I guess he’s found he’s lost in irrelevancy there too so he’s had to return, even though he said he wouldn’t. Doesn’t that make the always right one…..wrong?

James Madison : “There is no maxim, in my opinion, which is more liable to be misapplied, and which, therefore, more needs elucidation, than the current one, that the interest of the majority is the political standard of right and wrong.”

Thomas Jefferson : “A democracy is nothing more than mob rule, where fifty-one percent of the people may take away the rights of the other forty-nine.”

Benjamin Franklin: “Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote!”

Traditional middle class American’s dissafection with the Federal Government, hasn’t been this pronounced since Major Anderson evacuated Fort Sumter.

Dramatically unpopular immigration policies, in conjunction with liberals and the liberal 4th Estate’s obsession over multiculturalism, diversity and the PC Politics of Identity have polarized, threatened and marginalized in the public forum a beleaguered and diminishing electorate who now, in the words of Sam Donaldson, no longer have an America.

That same tax base, laboring under unsustainable transgenerational financial claims from the ever increasing “Protected Class” for endless and myriad benefits with no sell by date, sees their children and grandchildren living in the same violent 3rd world chaos we see all over the world on the nightly news.

The post racial man in the White House wants a son that walks like, talks like and looks like Trayvon. Thats ok, but many of us are happy with the kids we have and want them to grow up as did our antecedents. The president’s statement speaks to the efforts of the government at all levels to participate in and win at all costs, the Culture War.

Our government and the actions of our goverment with relation to issues like gun control, the redistribution of wealth, social engineering programs and foreign policy (Iraqi War, Arab Spring) etc smack of government by fiat, to the strains of Kumbaya.

So how do we all come together and get home from here?

I don’t think we do. We are encouraged, commended, indeed insiduously forced to tow the PC line effected by our 4th Estate Overseers, Hollywood and self annointed elites from every caste who parrot the day’s talking points, from newly minted NBA gays, to the ageless and timeless stories of civil rights battles fought in black and white, again and again and again.

The only monkey in the ointment is the avaiability of so much information to so many. Now, the actual news, real time, from real sources gives more and more folks pause when ponying up blood and treasure for the good of the realm.

All great empires (Great in terms of power anyway.) fall, and America is now in decline on all fronts. Burdened at home with onerous tasks and bills to pay for the new majority, she will go the way of other Occidental powers who suffered within from a familiar malaise, lethargy and cowardice.

I will have to go with smartman on this one. Prepare for bloody constraint. We all want equality and we will sure as hell get it, as always, in the democracy of death.

The Federal Government for which our fathers and father’s fathers fought for, now

Sorry about the last sentence, my elbow hit the keyboard or something–another sign of the coming apocalypse.

  5. BG says:

I really believe the right to bear arms was guaranteed because the early colonists had to fight against the French, the English, amd eventually the Spanish…each of which was a government in North America. So why not the nect ruling body! And wasn’t there a Whiskey rebellion against Washington. And weren’t American veterans run from Washington DCby McArther? And something happened in Chicago during a political convention. Were there ever Government troops involved in suppressing labor strikes? And didn’t the South revolt against the North?

It is really difficult for me to think of many countries of the world where there hasn’t been a rightous revolution against an oppressive goverrnment. Not very effective, if you don’t have a weapon!

Remember the end of the poem.”And then they came for me!”

  7. Jim says:

LMAO! Revolution?! Give me a break. Revolt against whom and for what? Americans won’t even revolt at the ballot box with a pencil, let alone a sword. They choose year after year after year to send the same people back to Washington DC that they now want to “revolt” against. There is only one group of people that are willing to shed their blood for a stranger’s freedom. The military. All the rest of you pussies are ALL talk and no action. Run for an office. Make a difference in your community. Stage a rally for your “cause”. STOP voting against your own best interests. 25% to 30% of people in this country are interested enough in the political process to actually get off their fat asses and go vote. The other 70% would rather sit around and bitch about the process and do nothing about it. Hard to get people to “revolt” that are so apathetic they won’t go to the ballot box.

    • the dude says:

There are more than a few people out there Jimmy boy, with our eyes open and ears to the ground waiting for the signal to take action. Like Jeffereson said this government was meant to be disassembled every few decades due to corruption, sloth and greed. This government is a fifty years or so past our due date.

      • Jim says:

OK, Dude. Get back with me in another 10 years when NO revolution occurs. I’ll restate everything I did today. Hmmm, wonder who you are waiting for the signal from? Probably will be a crawl on FoxNews, I guess.

        • expat says:

Chuck makes a good case but society is in a Nash Equilibrium: there won’t be any armed revolution until people think the sum result of a revolution and new order would be a better life than what they have now, instead of a lot of death and disorder. My prediction is more creeping anarcho-tyranny for at least another 50 years until the golden egg laying goose is fully dead, most people are living lives of serfdom and nobody has anything left to lose by destroying the old regime. Of course that’s total speculation and it could be another two hundred years or a thousand (mostly depending in how long cheap oil lasts)… People would be better served trying to improve their current lives as well as the national system and not spend time in their basements dreaming about revolutionary glory.

    • harley says:

      jimmy…..10000000% right.
the guys who sit and talk about this revolution are overweight…old..
out of shape and couldn’t march 50 yards with a backpack.
They play those xbox war games and think they’re ready to
      go fight a war.
smarmyman and chuck are perfect examples. Old..worn out…
think that a gun gives them the ability to go and fight a revolution.
Truth is these guys couldn’t live without their fruit loops for breakfast…
soup for lunch….and the early bird senior special at the local
      cafeteria.
What a joke these dudes are. Play soldiers and once the lead starts
flying their way they throw up the white flag of surrender.
You said it so eloquently…these guys are too old to walk down the
street much less go into battle. Could you see these guys. Make
believe video game warriors who think war is easy.
They’d be the first ones to run scared from battle.
      hahahahaha…they’re jokes~

        I do like cafeterias.

Old as I am, I hope we never meet. You, young strong, virile and so connected would kick my ass in a nano second.

I am not looking forward to the beating.

That said, I would take my beating in the finest family tradition.

        No whimpering.

        How ’bout you buddy?

Not knowing Harley, I am always confused by the insults.

Make your point, dispute the premise and maybe you will change someone’s point of view.

Harley is right about one thing, my less than sanguine view of America’s future. However, my ego is not tied up in my opinions. I wanna be wrong. When I am wrong, the sun comes out, birds sing and God sits on his throne.

Harleys incessant ad hominem attacks speak to a pathology that may have folks waking up with butterfly cocoons in their mouths, when the wake up.

Where the hell is that night vision shit I used to own?

chuck…you seem like an intelligent guy…and
yes we go way back…to the days of
bill berg!!!!! bill berg makes me puke parties!!!!!!
          we drank and partied together.
the problem i see is that with all the negativity
you and smarmyman and wilson and super dave
put out against others…you could use that energy
and knowledge to change the world one person
          at a time.
you could mentor kids in the ghetto…show them that
there is a way out…you could instead of calling for
a civil war start a war of your own to end
the problems….not of a whole generation but one
          young man at a time.
Imagine chuck joing big brothers and big sissters…
using all the knowledge you have to possibly save
one kid or one person from the life we know they
          face in their environement.
you don’t need to tell us how bad things are…we
all know it…but you can start like jimmy said
using your time and energy to change whats there.
I tried but realized that the odds of change are so
stacked against anyone thats because of the
divisive nature of this nation that its a long haul.
Jimmys right…guys like smarmyman and chuck
and super dave…you guys got skills…
I did a project with habitat for humanity…you guys
can too…..you’re either part of the problem or
          the solution.
Banging on kids on the plaza who have no homes
won’t change the problem…it just magnifies it.

          • paulwilsonkc says:

Harley, you’re an ass; leave me out of your comments. You see no negativity from me. I’m just tired of your bravado and baseless threats. You breed the disdain that’s directed towards you, no one else does that. You attack what I or anyone else writes, no one is right but you, it gets old. You need to back off of me, I WILL DEFINE what a hard rain is as well as how, when and where it will fall. You’ve wildly misjudged me from the start. You can stop or Ill spoon feed your next lesson to you, live and in person. To use your words, bet on it. And….expose you, one clue at a time. Bet it.

This Nation is built on stolen land. Any references to liberty, laws and honor are to be taken with a very, large grain of salt.

When The Day comes, crossbows and a knowledge of living off the land will be better than a ton of gold and truck full of automatic weapons.

Reckoning Day, put the money in the mattress
Reckoning Day, put your pennies where they count
Reckoning Day, nothing left to believe in
Nothing to doubt, nothing left to wait for
