Here’s how Kansas City’s Thanksgiving is stacking up on the big screen…

The highlights of Hollywood’s 2012 celebrated turkey offerings at theaters near you are actually pretty impressive this Year.

* Five days later on Wednesday, November 21—as mom stuffs big bird in the kitchen—Hollywood unleashes its Final Four cinematic offerings.

Starting with director Ang Lee‘s fateful voyage of adventure and discovery in LIFE OF PI.
It’s a remake of 1984’s cult-status invasion thriller RED DAWN, this time out with Chris Hemsworth, Josh Peck and Josh Hutcherson.

RISE OF THE GUARDIANS, the magical tale of how Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy, Sandman and Jack Frost lay down the gauntlet on an evil spirit known as Pitch (not to be confused with a local throwaway) as voiced by Chris Pine, Alec Baldwin, Hugh Jackman and Jude Law.

Then the stark drama of SILVER LININGS PLAYBOOK with Bradley Cooper, Robert DeNiro, Jennifer Lawrence, Julia Stiles and Chris Tucker.

* And right around the corner for Christmas, there’s THE HOBBIT, ANNA KARENIA, HITCHCOCK, THIS IS 40, GUILT TRIP, PARENTAL GUIDANCE and LES MISERABLES.

Sounds like fun…the Danzel movie looks strong…good marketing will help them kill on opening week.
