Glazer: Scribe’s Weekly Lament & Picks

Well, football freaks it’s been a tough start for our local ball clubs…

The Chiefs, as we talked about last year and early this season, seem to have quit on their coach and general manager. Not to mention the fans. Watching them in interviews you see no confidence and it seems as though the season is already over.

Here’s their chance.

The New Orleans Saints are also a head case. Sure they have the Brees, but we’ve got Matt THE FRANCHISE Cassel. Damn.

Is his house up for sale yet?

Bet Cassel’s counting the days before he moves out of Kansas City.

Unfortunately, I still like the Saints at home.

Both teams are goners and Chiefs could win if they get a lead early. The Chiefs have more weapons than New Orleans but we also have Matt. And it looks like Eric Berry, Jamaal Charles and our never-was tight end with ACL’s may all be toast as well.

As I have stated, it will at least 3 or 4 years before this team is back together with its new quarterback, coach and hopefully general manager. PLEASE.

What will sports talk radio have left to talk about if the Chumps are 0-5 soon? Same speech every week. At least they all want Scott Pioli fired. So does the Star sports team. If they keep pounding it, it might happen. Nice to hear from Bill Mass that both Todd Haley and Romeo Crennel asked Pioli to dump Matt for the last three years. It’s a bit late now, huh.

As for KU and MU, it doesn’t look good.

I’m taking both of their foes this weekend to win. That leaves K-State with Oklahoma which could be closer than many think, but in the end it’s OU. Wow, the local schools could go 0-4 this weekend. Nice.

COLLEGE PICKS:

SOUTH CAROLINA – 4 OVER MISSOURI (tease for 6 with)

Northern Illinois -1 over KU (tease with above)

*******

TCU -12 OVER VIRGINIA (tease with)

FLORIDA – 18 OVER KENTUCKY (TEASE WITH ABOVE)

PRO PICKS:

NEW ORLEANS – 1 OVER KC (TEASE WITH)

HOUSTON + 5 OVER DENVER

S.F. -6 1/2 OVER MINNESOTA

*******

Go get’ em guys…

Finally a great start with going 4-0 on college games, of course due to tease its 2 wins not 4…so we are now 8-5-2 for the season…2 ties…lets see if the pros do well and get us rolling for the year…

    Not too shabby Glaze.

I watched PTI yesterday and Mike Wilbon picked three games. The Denver Broncos over the Texans, the Cardinals over the Eagles and the Chargers over the Falcons.

Strike 3, you’re outta here! I think every single visiting team wins. The Texans, Cards and Flacons win.

Houston is -2 in Denver. I like Houston to win by 7.

Philly is giving up 3 1/2 and I think they eat Kevin Kolb alive. Philly by 5.

That is the only 3 I will bet on.

The Chiefs are a 9 point dog to the Saints. Wow.

    I am scared to watch.

    🙂

The easiest bet of the weekend, yep, Frisco, give up 6, over the Vikings. What happened to Jared Allen? Jerome Simpson is still suspended and AP will get less than 100.

  3. chuck says:

Sorry, that was a little muddled, I am not betting against the Chargers.

I am taking the Eagles, Houston and Frisco with the aforementioned spreads.

    $60.00

I like it, I already have Houston and San Fran…Eagles is a maybe, Chiefs could cover or win, if they get an early lead, I doubt it, if these were last years Saints..they would destory the Chiefs, but who knows, like I wrote both of them are in the dumps…I’d have to take Saints, but don’t want to give up 9, I’ll likely tease it with San Fran…

  4. SP says:

Quit BSing people. Winning a teaser = 1 win, so you are 3-0 not 4-0. A teaser is usually -110 and both teams have to come in, so it only counts as 1 win.

Good thing you had a good week because you were 2-3 on college football coming into this week. You are 5-3, which is barely over the vig. You better have a good week next week or you’re about as good as clucky the chicken.

I love “Clucky the Clucky Chicken” clips. Crimany I can never stop laughing.

I want this group to do the “Gangnam Style” video.

the record I gave was correct I believe I said this weekend I called four wins but ITS ONLY GOOD FOR 2 SO FAR CAUSE THEY WERE TEASERS, Jesus..also I get a push if one game pushes on a teaser and the other wins…you are right some don’t, you lose both with some sites or books…so being up this early by what was it 8 – 5 – 2 in the gaming world is still very good…if we do well today we are in good shape…but its a long season…

My wife Tew and I find this site very funny. Mr. Glazer reminds us of an old friend from Thailand, Gib Elohssa. Many, many great comments.

    • Craig Glazer says:

Well thank you guys…glad you get it…its for mostly fun and entertainment…I agree some of, even the mean comments, are funny…and many read this site and me to read the comments calling me everything under the sun…I post photo’s through Hearne of the girls in my weekly or daily life…I’d say all have been good to outstanding…sometimes photos can be cruel and not the best…but all those gals stand out in more ways than one…so its fun to read how they are TOO YOUNG AND UGLY, TOO OLD AND SKANKY, LOOK LIKE A MAN…on and on…you can’t win…but yeah it can be fun…glad you like the work

  6. chuck says:

I think the Chiefs are gonna get mauled today.

    ):

    How about those Wildcats!!

  7. chuck says:

    Cassel was so brutal.

I know we won, but Cassel, pedestrain is thy name, as were my bets.

Too much C Ponder (The Chiefs passed on him too.)

    Down 20.00

    Chiefs win!!

    🙂

Cassel was SO bad. Passes foated, no zip, no pocket presence, Jeeze if we had a QB, we would be alright.

The Chargers looked like an 8th grade team.

    Chiefs win!!

    🙂

  8. SP says:

    two more beats.
