New Jack City: Jason Sudeikis Days Numbered on Saturday Night Live

There’s one less exit pending on SNL—at least for the time being…

According to VARIETY, NBC is expected to announce later today that Johnson County export Jason Sudeikis will stay with the long running late night comedy series at least until January of 2013.

Why?

Because he’ll be in great demand until then due to his impersonations of Mitt Romney and Joe Biden. And this will take him through the election season.

Once the nine-year SNL veteran does leave the show, he’ll be following in the footsteps of other recent departures including Andy Samberg, Kristen Wiig and Abby Elliott—not to mention Tina Fey.

This past summer Sudeikis co-starred in THE CAMPAIGN and will be seen next year opposite Jennifer Aniston, Emma Roberts and Ed Helms in WE’RE THE MILLERS.

  1. Craig Glazer says:

Always love when a local guy does well…I wish him nothing but good luck…met him once at the club, he never did stand up here…not sure he does stand up..but be that as it may he was here to support Stanfords former employee and comic Rob Riggle, both good guys.

  2. Rick Nichols says:

For a JoCo boy he’s done rather well –
Nine years in the spotlight on SNL.
Now he can do Mitt and he can do Joe,
But once the gig’s up he’ll get the heave-ho,
(Along with some politicians we know).
