OTC: D-Bowe Denies “Importing” Comments But ESPN Claims “Lurid Details” All True

“No (my teammates don’t give me a hard time) because now they are finding out that it definitely wasn’t me. But I took that like a man. People that really know the Dwayne Bowe that clowns, but on a serious note won’t let anything out of the locker room that is not supposed to be out.

I don’t know why ESPN doesn’t just bleep out the names of the other players and release the tape so nobody questions their integrity here – Bowe has said enough things to damage their credibility with other athletes enough.

I have a problem with ESPN sparing “him and others from further embarrassment.” The magazine’s job is to report sports news. It sounds like Bowe said something newsworthy to people who follow football. Bowe is a professional athlete. He should be more aware of what he says to reporters at this stage in his life. If it were a HS or college player I would be more likely to agree with ESPN but Bowe, if only based on the fact that he receives a paycheck to play football, is a professional athlete and was apparently speaking on the record. It would have been better for ESPN to report nothing at all than to provide just this portion of what he said. Really hurts its credibility with me.

If Rolling Stone can toss a 4-Star General under the bus, ESPN should be serving D-Bowe for dinner. This bring in the ho’s behavior is rampant in sports. Let’s just pull the sheets all the way back on these overpaid pricks and let the world see them for what they are. Oh yeah can anybody explain to me why some team trainers are holding large quantities of Viagra? Is it so these ballers can ball all night or to offset the effects of the steroids?

I will give Bowe the same advice I gave Governor Nixon during the conference realignment chaos … “Shut up. Please. Just stop talking.”

    What a dumbass.

I sorta get why ESPN won’t release the other names, but I don’t get why they don’t just, as has been suggested here, bleep out the names of the names Bowe drops (hey, he can drop names and passes with equal ability!)

As for naming names, though, ESPN would get sued in a heartbeat and they’d probably lose a fair amount of money because if they went to print with only the word of a noted dumbass like Bowe they’d never be able to prove what they wrote. Who is gonna back up the Chiefs’ idiot #1 receiver? Can you imagine the fact checkers calling, say, Larry Johnson and saying “Larry, Dewayne Bowe named you as one of the ‘importers’ of women. We’re gonna go to press with this and we need you to confirm that you import women, possibly in violation of the Mann Act. If you deny it, we’ll print your denial, but we are going with our story so, you know, call us back!”

get rid of this fucking clown BoBo.
Get rid of him right now before the tapes come
out. And they will…probably around the time
of the chiefs first home game on monday night.
You know espn is foaming to relese the tapes…
so get rid of this asshole now.
Take your hit…take the loss of this piss
    poor receiver…he can’t catch anyway…and
move him to another city where he can’t be
    a cancer.
This year promises to be a fun/good yer for
    the chiefs.
Don’t let this freaking loser ruin it before
    it starts.
Get rid of him now…and save everyone a lot
    of heartache and pain

I don’t believe ESPN would get sued by anybody, since the words are straight from D-Bowe’s mouth. The quote, thus the information, can be attributed to Bowe. He’s the source.
I don’t know why ESPN hasn’t released even a partially redacted audio version of Bowe’s interview, other than that they want to continue to be in on a good level with the organization.

Best comment here, “not sure if he can spell LSU”….Bowe’s problem in his position, simple, he is uneducated, never went to school, can’t read or spell above a sixth grade level, this I assume from his horrid interviews, where also can’t speak at all…simply put, not bright….so he does not know where to be or when on routes…thus he often drops the ball, he is fast enough and a good enough athlete to move to the ball at the last moment, so some plays still work, or are close….he often makes easy catch look tough cause he is late to the spot…and thus its a tough catch…these athletes biggest problem is anger, due to lack of education…most NFL and NBA stars have never really been to school, they are handed a degree but have a sixth grade at best level of skills..thus stupid mistakes on field and off…
