It’s time for the NFL blackout rule to die. They spend decades driving up ticket prices. Now, they’re too high and people can’t afford to go to games even though they really want to. So they black it out on television?

No sympathy for Marty, he could have had a ring if he would have played Gannon instead of that pussy Grbac. Might still be coaching if he had kept Little Marty in the locker room instead of putting him in for Greg Hill. How old is little Tanner now, anyway?

    ___

GH: Tanner would be about 11. Not sure if he’s dodging the mob brawls at the KCMO schools or living the high life in Blue Valley. Look for the kid with no jewelry.

Saw that state championship game where Blue Valley beat Liberal. They won because of a bogus pass interference call on a late drive. Terrible call. Marty was actually on the sideline and I think he intimidated the officials.
Nice win for Boise State over Virginia Tech. However who did they beat? The Hokies are now
1-26 all-time vs top five teams.

I read that #of teams dealing with blackouts has doubled from 4 last year to 8 this year. NFL is going to have to deal with the new HDef world. You start blacking out the Chiefs and its Out of Sight out of mind…they will never get the franchise back. I have a feeling its all going to Pay Per View.

Boeger was not on that State Championship team. He graduated a year earlier.

    A tiny detail.

    ___

GH: But a detail worth getting correct. Thanks, I’ll fix the copy.

College sports are going the same way. Pricing the regular fan right out of the stadium.

Read the book Megatrends 2000. It predicted the decline of sports back in the mid-90’s. By 2050 the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, PGA and NASCAR will all be in the same tank with the Professional Bowlers Association.

Chad Boeger a “wide receiver”, sometimes life gives you the joke and the punchline.

Boise State winning the National Championship might just be the ticket we need to get a real playoff system.
No rings for the Schottenheimers unless they buy ’em on Pawn Stars. That’s just how it needs to be.

teams don’t care. The seats on monday night
are going to have blow up dolls in them.
Watch the club level look empty again on monday
night. The club level is now like watching a
football game in a hotel lobby. The stadium
will look empty or the club level will.
also…look for missouri to move to the
big 10 (just kidding…its so fucking boring
right now we need another alighment shakeup
or something big to happen like a chiefs
    super bowl win monday night!

The owners and athletics directors are playing it just like the wall street guys. Exploit and manipulate until just before the system blows up – then pull out with there’s – in the nick of time…

As a Royals fan, I’ve said this for years, and Chiefs fans are finally showing it:

If you treat your fans only like customers, they’ll begin to act like customers, not fans. that means they won’t buy your product when it sucks.

Arrowhead sucks! My family had season tickets since 1965 50 yard line club level. They treated season ticket holders like shit and expected us to keep paying higher prices for teriible performance. I personally am sick of sitting in 800 dollar seats and spending money on drinks and food for NOTHING! I hate Carl and Lamar’s son for selling out. Arrowhead will NEVER be the same. Trust me on this one. WE WILL NEVER WIN A SUPER BOWL EVER and PLAYOFFS are 5 or more yrs down the road. In fact I am getting my money ready to bet against them on every game!

Does everybody realize how pathetic it is that this Monday Night Football game is being called “historic?” It is nothing more than the first regular game of the season. Do you think in Dallas, Pittsburgh, Green Bay, or Boston they would call the first game of the year historic? No. It’s only historic when your team has not won shit in 41 years and your owner throws his family name around to grab a Monday night game that you don’t deserve.

Hey Greg there are two types of former Star employees: those who have let go, and those who should.
