Golfers’ Wives And Significant Others
Having the opportunity to attend a lot of sporting events, I agree golfer wives and girlfriends rank right up there. But believe it or not, NASCAR drivers may have them beat.
And while I’m sure the gallery had great sights to look at, we certainly didn’t see them on TV. I watched the entire final round and was amazed by how many fat people with really white legs I saw behind the ropes. Obesity is a problem in this country.

No NFL football will be a disaster for the beer companies, pizza joints and places like Hooters and Buffalo Wild Wings. It will be devastating to a lot of sports bars. Just like many retailers do over 70% of their business during the Holiday Season those businesses rack up huge numbers during the NFL season. The sports books in Vegas will get crushed since the NFL represents about 65% of football wagering. Not to mention the number of high rollers who bet the NFL exclusively that fly in and out every weekend. Sports TV and sports radio will get crushed when the ad dollars flow elsewhere. It’s gonna be UGLY.
I don’t get the buzz about Jason Day’s wife. She’s decent looking. No more, no less.

Frank Martin issue
KK is just setting up his backup scenario. Vis-A-Vis if Frank leaves K-State, KK will call him a liar and a fraud for not keeping his word. Basically bashing him for disloyalty. KK has become nothing more than a K-State shill, and loses objectivity when talking about his beloved school and program. It is sad. I don’t think Martin leaves, but I have a feeling his stay will end up shorter than expected. He stays this year, but he is trying to get his name out there on certain coaching vacancies.

Despite his proclamations that he’s changed, Tiger can still be a dick. As evidence, compare the post round interviews between Woods and Rory McIlroy.
Even though Bill McAtee’s questions weren’t all that great, Tiger didn’t give anything in a post-round interview, either Saturday or Sunday. He just came off as his old-ways, dickish self. I harbored no admiration for Woods over the weekend.
Come on, Tiger, it’s televised golf. Be a little more gentlemanly. I have never recalled Tom Watson being a curt dick in a televised interview post-round, and many of the golfers CBS interviewed post-round during the weekend were very gracious, and in some instances, insightful.
It was well within Rory McIlroy’s right to just blow off the CBS cameras after his Sunday implosion, but I came off incredibly impressed by his humility and composure.
The same can’t be said for Woods.
I really wanted to root for Tiger this weekend. I really did. But his demeanor still just reeks of a prick.
