Jack Goes Confidential: Hot Cars. Hot Babes. Hot Damn!

Attention K-Mart shoppers!

FAST FIVE is not about script, storytelling  – and especially – not about acting!

What we DO get is some of the best stunt driving and choreographed chase sequences ever to grace the big screen. It’s a thrill ride of immense proportions that wastes no time as Vin Diesel is rescued from a prison transport in the film’s opening sequence.

And for this fifth entry in the super successful FAST & FURIOUS franchise, practically everyone from the previous installments is back alongside Diesel and Paul Walker. The action now moving to Rio and overflowing with boiling testosterone, hot babes and an almost impossible last job to hijack the local kingpin’s bank vault right out of its heavily protected fortress—or something like that.

FAST FIVE’s scenes of high octane cars dragging the mighty steel vault at high speeds through the streets of Rio is something to behold!

Also amazing is how Diesel’s team scores 3 hot cars off of a moving train!

The rest? Just inconsequential fluff and babble to string the action scenes together.

Almost forgot!

They’ve added Dwayne (The Rock) Johnson to the franchise as a badass federal agent hot on Diesel’s tail.

For some strange reason they edited this movie to run 2 hours and 10 minutes. A running time of around 1 hour and 40 minutes would’ve made it tighter and more exciting.

SCREENING ALERT!

About a minute into the film’s end-credits an additional scene suddenly pops up!

It’s an important one to the storyline and acts as the perfect bridge to what surely will be the subject of a 6th chapter in Universal’s high octane franchise.

Here’s a hint: "…DO YOU BELIEVE IN GHOSTS?…"

Sadly most of our screening audience had already exited the auditorium when the surprise scene appeared.

So buckle up and hold on to your popcorn for Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Ludacris, Tyrese Gibson and Dwayne Johnson in FAST FIVE!

4 out-of-5 fingers for the movie’s action sequences but only 2 out-of-5 for everything else.

So how about 3 to satisfy the franchise’s huge fan base.
