Jumping Jack Poessiger Movie Critic- News Hound

Once upon a time a boy named Jack hopped the Berlin Wall and hotfooted it to the USA. Nebraska, to be exact.

While Jack only spoke German – baby German as it were – he more-or-less learned English in Grand Island where he got stuck growing up. And it  wast here at a local Drive-In where he got his first taste of show biz, popping corn and hustling chili dogs.

You might say it was magical…and it stuck.

Jack later went legit as a small town movie manager for Commonwealth Theatres in Junk City, KS. Four years later he finessed his way into becoming Director of Marketing in Kansas City, and he clung to that paycheck for 22 years until the firm unloaded itself.  Even served two terms as president of the United Motion Picture Association.

These days Jack’s down to being a member of the Kansas City Film Critics Circle where he doubles as lone defender of Fox 4 movie dude Shawn Edwards.

His Jack Goes To The Movies radio reviews on legendary rocker KY-102 and 99.7 KY was the stuff dreams were made of.

Did it really even happen?

Jack was also called forth by WDAF-61 Country to mangle movie reviews in that inimitable English-as-spoken in the Deutschland style.  Today Jack Goes To The Movies goes down Fridays on News Radio 980- KMBZ and 98.1 KUDL.  On top of it all, there is even a TV version on Time Warner Cable’s KC On Demand- Ch. 113.
