McTavish Weekend: Could it Be…the Son of Satan?
No?
You’re showing better judgment than the young fellow who falls for a shirtless hunk in “Say You Love Satan.”
Good rule: Anyone walking around with “666” on his forehead isn’t dating material, regardless of pectoral appeal. But try telling that to Andrew (Taylor Gozla), who’s irresistibly attracted to Jack (Evan White) even after Jack admits he’s Satan’s spawn in Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa’s devilish comedy opening at 8 tonight at the Off Center Theatre at Crown Center, 2450 Grand.
Maybe Andrew would have detected the truth sooner if he’d met Jack in less squeaky clean environs than a laundry room. Or maybe that’s just how evil works, masquerading as a box of Tide with Bleach in a world of Original Stain. Anyway, you’ll have to spend at least $17.50 on a ticket to see how the wash comes out. For more on the show, go to egadstheatre.com.
For more on what to do this weekend, tune in when I animatedly converse about such things on “Up to Date” with Steve Kraske at 11:45 a.m. today on KCUR-FM (89.3). If only you could see my face.
Abba Abba Do
The Swedish tribute band Waterloo will sing more than 20 of Abba’s greatest hits – including, you guessed it, “Waterloo” – with the Kansas City Symphony at 8 tonight at the Church of the Resurrection, 13720 Roe in Leawood. Tickets cost $65 and are going faster than you can say, “Mama Mia.” (kcsymphony.org)

He explains the process at musictofillawindow.blogspot.com. Show time is 7 tonight at the studio at 1715 Wyandotte. Tickets cost $5 to $15. (fishtanktheater.com)

$65.00 for a tribute band? WOW! I’m more curious as to how they ended up at a church of all places. Interesting

One can imagine I read it twice. While I am not as skilled on this topic, I tally with your conclusions because they create sense. Thanks and goodluck to you.
