Derek Gale, member of the Kansas City Restaurant Week executive committee gives the 3 top reasons for Kansas City food lovers to dine out at any of the 100 participating restaurants during Kansas City Restaurant Week (Jan. 22-31):
1. Kansas City Restaurant Week is an opportunity to try a restaurant you may never have tried before or to revisit an old favorite and to enjoy a full meal (multiple courses) without spending an extreme amount of money to do so (all participating restaurants are offering $15 multi-course lunches and/or $30 multi-course dinners)
2. Kansas City Restaurant Week allows food lovers to sample a variety of savory and sweet items in one sitting for a fixed price while also giving back to the community (10% of the price of all Kansas City Restaurant Week lunches and dinners sold will go to Harvesters to help fight hunger in Kansas City)
3. From new restaurants opened by James Beard Award winning chefs to longstanding family-owned eateries, Kansas City Restaurant Week is a celebration of the truly diverse restaurant and food scene found throughout the entire Kansas City metro area. Almost all genres of food are represented by participating restaurants, so there’s something to suit everyone’s palate, and there’s enough variety to eat differently every day for 10 days!
I got mine booked!
