Tony: Meet Kansas City’s Sexiest Web Shill!
A lady friend of mine hates “Lauren Wants to Know.”
I think she’s kinda hot. Because I watch a lot of late night TV I know that Lauren McCarthy of the McCarthy Auto Group is the pretty face behind the Kansas City late night TV infomercial-web-promotional strategy.
For Kansas City web geeks, I think she might be attempting to claim the throne of the Watson’s Girl now that poor Jennifer Foley has lost her figure.
Cross marketing isn’t a bad strategy but I wonder if her uncle, dad, grandpappy or whoever is indulging Lauren’s domination of the Kansas City late night TV market knows that this road is usually a dead end for other high profile career endeavors. Or maybe the web-angle could be a fresh take on the local sales girl schtick. Lauren actually does seem to have some nice interviewing skills and she doesn’t seem to be taking on the blonde “sales ho” role.
In any event, there’s not much traffic over at “Lauren Wants To Know” but if they earn even a couple of sales from the page I’m sure it’ll more than recoup the cost of the Internet campaign. The YouTube clips are sorta funny . . . What I like is that Lauren actually toned it down after her first feature. It was a bit too stylized and featured her sexy red hair looking just a tad to fabulous to be believable for the kind of average Internet gal that goes over big with locals. Still, for all this work she hasn’t had as many hits as something like “Chocolate rain” which is currently stands at 45 million views. I can only hope that her dream to be a famous sales lady on the Internet keeps her going strong and maybe then she might bring in enough business to her namesake auto biz by maybe taking off her top. That’s probably the only way I’d ever consider buying a Chevy anyway.

I think Lauren McCarthy is absolutely stunning…good lord that woman is nothing short of stunning. Well put together indeed…

great marketing idea. I love it. And she is
a very pretty woman. I know her dad and she
comes from a very classy family.
Played softball with them…and great great
family.
Now lauren…we have 2 losers on this site
that need dates…can you please help gavin
and smartman. They have no life and no sense
of style but maybe you can fix them up with
someone. They like going to chuckie cheese

I am the real loser. I say I’m in california but I’m really in my grandma’s basement. my only source of entertainment is websites like these. I make fun of old people and claim to run a zillion dollar company. But i’m in fact an old person myself that’s why i have kids young enough to play softball with an obvious mid 20’s girl. i also flunked out of school in 6th grade that why I spell capatable like this instead of like this compatible. Well back to the beach…..i mean bathtub. Can’t wait to play with my yellow duck and see if the snake can get him. Almost as much fun as my gerbil.
