Hearne: Mission Hills Cop Bow to Pressure From Bollier Crowd

Hey, nobody wants to lose there job, right?

Especially the highly paid honchos at the Prairie Village /  Mission Hill police. And they’ve got to watch their backs working for a bunch of left leaning, spoiled millionaires.

And if you’ve been following the national news that’s the kind of thing that can happen, even if some police chief’s wife posts something nice about Donald Trump.

Return with me now to the sixth night of Mission Hills conservative Dwight Sutherland‘s Trump and Roger Marshall yard sign’s being mowed down by somebody with a penchant for driving up on Sutherland’s yard – at first just to knock them down and then later to steals them.

Sutherland was waiting for a former FBI investigator to mount surveillance cameras, but decided to wait up to see if he could catch the culprit that sixth night.

Around 10 pm he saw and heard a small SUV screech by and into the yard of one of his neighbors (that I know personally) who were out-of-town.

At first Sutherland thought it was probably one of the couple’s college age kids. He heard someone exit the car and some talking. Several minutes later the SUV sped off and then made an awkward maneuver to approach Sutherland’s yard signs. It left the street and instead of just mowing down the signs, stopped in his yard and began to grab the signs.

Dwight raced out then and yelled warning to them and struck the SUV with his tennis  racket to drive home his point. At which point in trying to get away, Sutherland was struck by the SUV and fell to the ground.

Next thing he knew the SUV speed away at a ridiculously fast clip up the block.

As Sutherland collected himself something very unusual happened…

The SUV stopped, then turned around and headed back towards Sutherland who positioned himself in the street to deal with the dude.

As it approached Sutherland gave its windshield a whack as it veered into him, then sped off..

Sutherland hit the pavement with multiple injuries resulting in an ambulance ride with a PV / Mission Hills policeman who took his statement and expressed sympathy, saying that whoever did it would get his just desserts once the police determined who it was.

So much for sympathy from the so-called authorities.

Dwight Sutherland
post pet sitter, Mission Hills run in Mission Hil

Because the next day, high level police wearing body cams visited Sutherland in intensive care and made his son leave the hospital room so there would be no witnesses.

At which point they spent upwards of two hours reviewing Sutherland’s statement – given mind you when he was obviously not in full control of his faculties – while badgering him and poking holes in his story.

Their entire point being that they were trying to downplay what had taken place and at one point went  so far as to say that even if Sutherland’s story was true, he would not have a case against the individual, who now had been identified as his neighbor’s dog sitter.

Seems the neighboring doctor’s video didn’t fully show the incident as Dwight hit the ground and had fallen out of the picture.

They even suggested  that if all four of the SUVs wheels had not gone onto Sutherland’s property it would not be a violation.

The hostile police questioning with no witnesses allowed to be in the room convinced Dwight that the Barabara Bollier forces were influencing the upper level police.

After all, a few years earlier the Mission Hills newsletter had actjually endorsed Bollier.

And most regular police are far and away Trump supporters – like the cop that took Dwight’s statement – the top level cops have an obvious career interest in not in not pissing off the vast majority of high level, powerful residents of Mission Hills and to a lesser extent, Prairie Village, who are far and away in the Biden, Bollier camps.

Sutherland had been contacted by Fox News superstar Tucker about appearing on his programs, but given the threatening actions of the police became fearful of what might happen given that he was told the dog sitter was “lawyered up.”

There’s more to the story but my battery is almost dead and and I’m in Starbucks as I have no home internet yet.

Stay tuned

Sounds like this guy chose to react to bad behavior with equally bad behavior.

If you choose to stand in the middle of your street and go all Johnny McEnroe on passing cars, bad things are going to happen.

Thankful he wasn’t hurt even worse. Next time I hope he lets the authorities handle it.

      20/20 hindsight, GP…

Make no mistake, no way was Dwight looking for a fight. The nerdly tennis racket was little more than a prop to wave at prank playing kids.

The initial knockdown was on his property and there was no way for him to suspect some 50-something pet sitter / sign stealer would try and bounces him off of his SUV.

If you missed my point, the authorities have little to no interest in getting to the bottom of this and risk losing their cushy jobs.

Therein lies the story, me thinks.

Me thinks you are 100% correct, but then I as well have a couple of Prairie Village stories about their conduct when it comes to the handling of certain residents of Mission Hills. Also I would think that in a hospital setting unless the victim was under arrest that any law enforcement officer can tell anyone to leave the room. Interesting that Dwight didn’t pick up on that. Lets see the body cams of the interview. Another question is who is the so called neighbor and where do they fit in all this. I mean come on if your dog sitter were to at as such would you want to protect them? This smells of big names who want this hushed up and now.

        • admin says:

The only ones wanting it hushed up are the upper echelon complicit police and Bollier backers…

Unfortunately for them, in addition to money not being able to buy love, it can’t always buy political results.

The neighbors involved, from what I can tell, are on Dwight’s side politically. I mean, it’s not like you ascertain the politics of your pet sitter.

He wasn’t in the “middle of his street” he was in his driveway on private property being run down by a car. I find your remarks insulting.

I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t have armed myself with a tennis racket – more likely a 12-gauge shotgun, because these days, you just never know. On the other hand, it’s pretty stupid to blow someone away over a yard sign. As for the cops, they can sit in their cop shop and watch netporn and do nothing – it’s called the Public Duty Doctrine, and it absolves cops of any and all duty to aid any individual or group of individuals. Qualified Immunity absolves cops of liability for negligence. Here, the cops did nothing, so the Public Duty Doctrine comes into play. Think of these two legal doctrines next time you get a plea to raise taxes for police protection, because the cops only have a duty to the government which employs them. As for you, it’s “I will if I want to, otherwise, you’re on your own, chump.” And most people have never heard of the Public Duty Doctrine, which should be common knowledge. If people knew that the cops can tell them to go piss up a rope, maybe they’d have a different opinion about “common sense gun control.”

I think I would have put up a videocam, figured out where the dude was coming from, and if it happened numerous times with the same dude, and that he was working for the neighbors, and the neighbors were known to be Biden supporters, I’d sue the neighbors under the law of agency for trespass and conversion…

    • admin says:

      Well, that was more-or-less Dwight’s plan…

Except for the neighbors who are undercover Trump supporters. Plenty those around these days.

The camera plan just didn’t quite get executed in time for Dwight’s backup plan…the tennis racket

  3. Jimbo in OPKS says:

Whatever you want to say about her, Barbara does a mean Dennis Moore impersonation. She’s got that incipient Alzheimer’s down pat.

  4. Phaedrus says:

Why not put the pet sitter’s name out there?

And was it a Bjorn Borg style wooden raquet or one of those new fangled mamby-pamby graphite monstrosities? Inquiring minds want to know.

    • admin says:

The dude was a former actor wannabe, mid 50s, skinhead…

Dwight and the suck up police are holding the name

      • Eric Haynes says:

They let that guy sit their dog????!!!!!!!!!!!

        • admin says:

          Well, who knew?

It wasn’t like he had yard signs stealing on his resume.

The funny thing is he contacted them the next day and quit, telling them he could no longer work in Mission Hills, it was too dangerous.

          • Hudson H Luce says:

He may be shaved bald, but he’s not a skinhead. I know skinheads, this guy is a pussy. Skinheads would beat him to a fine pulp.

    From KC Confidential:

So will Sutherland put his yard signs where his mouth is with Trump / Blue Lives Matter?

“Effing yes,” he says. “I’m getting ready to put up a Trump banner with a spotlight on it and play country music at full volume – Toby Keith – on election night.”

    Kidding?

“No, I’m not. Not after the investment banker across the street put up a black lives matter flag-I’m taking off the gloves.”

I know you won’t post this, but Sutherland was aching for a fight over effing signs.

  6. Tracy Thomas says:

So Hearne moves to Tucson, the STAR is leaving their leased glass building that Hearne’s buddy, Art Brisbane built for $200 million –even selling the printing presses–and NO STORY FROM HEARNE?

Who used to shop cars for Brisbane. The boy version of “pick up my laundry” in the Devil Wears Prada.

And whatever happened to the end of this sutherland story? Did KCconfidential die, not with a bang, but a whimper?? Just a few more comments, rather than return and write what he claimed he knew?
