Jack Goes Confidential: ‘Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom’ Has Indoraptor — Butter The Popcorn!

The good news about JURASSIC World: FALLEN KINGDOM is that it delivers on its hype and expectations…

If you’re looking for a big summer popcorn action-adventure, this one fits the bill.

The bad news: Well, there really isn’t any unless you were expecting something way above 2015’s successful JURASSIC WORLD reboot.

Anytime a sequel stays favorably within the framework of the original moviegoers should be grateful. Right?

And on those levels of comparison JW2 delivers for all ages.

Hey, there are even a few good (almost) jump-out-of-your-seat moments here awaiting you in air-conditioned comfort.

FALLEN KINGDOM picks up after things went so terribly wrong at the theme park back in 2015.

Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard had successfully evacuated to the mainland leaving behind some of those cloned dinosaurs to freely roam Isla Nublar.

But a major volcano is now hitting the island and threatening to engulf these genetically engineered beasts—and, you guessed it, Pratt and Howard head back into danger now making it a rescue mission.

What they encounter though is way more than they expected.

From human greed, conspiracies and government interference to improbable escapes and a good dose of dino crushing—not to mention the cameo return of Jeff Goldblum as Dr. Ian Malcom, bringing a dose of animal rights issues to the table.

“You can’t put it back in the box. It’s too late!”

Oh, almost forgot the introduction of the savage Indoraptor!

Let me just tell you that THIS hybrid dino creation REALLY means business and kicks ass like no other.

Good guys. Bad guys. And huge creatures.

All brought together again for yet another helping of the pre-historic grudge match introduced to the movies by Steven Spielberg some 25 years ago—but in all fairness should also be credited to Michael Crighton who first added the believability of present day dinosaurs for modern day adventure seekers through his writing.

“JURASSIC World: FALLEN KINGDOM” grades an action-packed: B.

‘Jack Goes To the Movies’ Friday’s during Kansas City’s Morning News on 98.1 FM, KMBZ.
