Chuck: Are They Really Who We Thought They Were?

In 2006, Arizona Cardinals coach Denny Green famously screamed, “THEY ARE WHO WE THOUGHT THEY WERE!!!”

Green had just had his ass handed to him by the Chicago Bears in a painful, but not unexpected loss.

According to National Public Radio 97% of political donations from Department Of Justice employees go to Democrats.

“THEY ARE, WHO WE THOUGHT THEY WERE”.

For a moment let’s forget about hard core social justice warriors on the progressive plantation and hard core right wingers (like me) who live behind the Breitbart barbican.

Many millions of Americans ride the fence politically undeclared with their compos mentis firmly in tow. People who have at least a cursory interest in facts as opposed to emotion.

They should be worried because a coup d’etat is under way.

In my opinion, reasonable Americans with a grasp of the now available facts and an IQ north of a turnip, can assume that highly placed, unelected bureaucrats in the FBI and the Department of Justice have engaged in sedition and treason in pursuit of a Kleptocracy intended to negate the last Presidential election. To usurp the power of the electorate and divert the stated will of the people in that same election.

The details of that now very famous Trump “dossier” and its use as a lever to acquire FISA warrants to spy on the president – Obama sure as hell did “tap” Trump’s wires – and that campaign is not just a light year worse than anything that happened in Watergate, it is an ongoing, clear and present danger to the Republic itself.

I remember around 2009 or so having to admit, that my hero Republicans in office at the time, George Bush and Dick Cheney, really were War Criminals.

In retrospect I can understand why Democrats and the rest of us believed that there were “weapons of mass destruction”.

Americans for the most part envisioned mushroom clouds over Europe and bought into that lie, hook line and sinker.

Much to my chagrin, I too bought into the lie.

Now, as a result of the galactic errors and instability created in the mideast by the Bush-Cheney administration we are ever more vulnerable to terrorist activities.

Now a decade later, we find out what we all knew, but hoped wasn’t true.

That FBI and DOJ operatives have subverted justice, obfuscated criminality and insured that even the most uninterested Americans know that the egalitarian dream of Equal Justice For All isn’t just occasionally skewered by way of racial animus, bribery,  money and fame, it’s corrupted at the very center and nexus by law enforcement on a Federal level.

The necrosis is widespread and suffuses throughout the Federal Cathedral.

The IRS, State Department, BLM, and most importantly, the FBI and Department of Justice are corrupted at the highest levels with a progressive bias and agenda.

On every level, in every cubical, on every phone call, in every action and in thought, word and deed, if you are conservative your Government hates you – hates the middle class.

Our Intelligence Agencies know us well enough to coin us into gold, hold us in contempt and sell us into servitude by way of hubris, narcissism and a James Comey meglanomaniacal insistence that only they know the truth.

Remember “Just the facts mam”?

I’ve always believed the FBI was populated with guys in average suits, with sensible shoes and an attitude of objectivity that fleshed out the truth as if Lady Justice in her blindfold, stood there with the badge.

That is until about six months ago, I still believed it.

Now, Liberals and Conservatives have something in common that should scare us all.

A fifth column of progressive bureaucrats (someday, it could be conservatives), who take the law into their own hands.  Unstable, bipolar, provocatuers  like James Comey are “Peter Principled” into power with like minded acolytes whose “truth” holds the high ground against our Constitutional rights.

It’s time to restrict, severely the power of these law enforcement agencies and bring them to heel under the suzerainty of the American people, liberal and conservative.

The Rule of Law is the genesis for a Democracy that does not die in darkness.

    11:53 AM.

Andrew McCabe out at the FBI.

As the roaches scurry across America’s kitchen floor, nothing could be sweeter than the sound of their exoskeletons crunching beneath the feet of the middle class, tax paying American.

Put off money for “The Wall” for a few weeks and spend money on Sticky Traps. We need to take some of them alive.

  2. chuck says:

Now is the time to open a cell phone store in Washington D.C. There are legions of government employees heading out into the street and in a “Hillaryesque” moment of clarity, using hammers to destroy their devices.

The dam is about to break.

    Step 1: This article
    Step 2: Tin-Foil hat

    • chuck says:

      Seriously?

There are no text messages between FBI agents that indicated bias and intent to subvert the election? Nothing happened in “Andy’s” office and his wife didn’t receive 700 large from the Clintons? Then, it was ok for him to lead the investigation of Trump and the exoneration of Clinton?

The list is extensive and growing.

Maybe you have points to make, but, “tin foil hat”?

      Not a chance.

The time line for the events over the last 18 months, the irrefutable evidence ascertained to this point and the reasonable extrapolations of what, in my opinion, should be reasonable people, would and should have people in the prior administration, the FBI and DOJ “Lawyering Up”.

Tell ya what big guy, let’s just see how things play out over the next 45 to 60 days and revisit your “Tin foil hat comment”.

Your comment, in my opinion, based on events and obvious evidence, is worthy of a “hat” comment too.

“All hat and no cattle”. Get ready for a stampede.

      • Jim a.k.a. BWH says:

Settle down, Chuckie. There is an endless array of things I’m concerned about regarding this administration that far outweigh some FBI agent’s hard-on for Trump. That’s a really long line anyways.

Never ceases to amaze me what some right-leaning sycophants are completely willing to ignore and what really gets them up in arms.

        Politics. Go figure.

        • chuck says:

Ok. Our so called “Intelligence Agencies” leak, I mean LEAK like a sieve to the press.

If there was ANY evidence of ANY collusion with Trump and his campaign, the NY Times and the legions of Press Pack Dogs in the laps of Progressives would be popping champagne corks all over the East and West coast.

What the heck am I ignoring?

        • chuck says:

Look Jim, if in fact, there was a secret agreement that Trump made with Putin or agents of Putin to use false information to destroy the credibility of an opposition (Hillary) candidate and subvert the electoral process, then, I stand with most patriotic Americans and think that whatever penalties for such actions should be taken against the criminals who engaged in that seditious behaviour.

So far, the ONLY evidence of cooperation, between an American politician and the Russians, to destroy the credibility of a political opponent and subvert an election, is the Russian Dossier, paid for by the Clinton campaign and used by the FBI to perpetrate a fraud upon the FISA court, which in turn, was used to destroy the credibility of Trump and subvert the 2016 election.

          Again, what am I missing?

          • Jim a.k.a. BWH says:

Plenty. If you think the ONLY evidence of Russian involvement in our election process is some B.S. dossier, you aren’t keeping up. The fact that Russia meddled in the process is not in dispute. Every single intelligence agency agrees to that fact. To what extent? That’s the whole point, isn’t it?

Personally, I think you give way too much credit to some Alex Jones/FoxNews/Deep State conspiracy. Those buffoons in D.C. don’t have the intelligence to carry out anything that involves secrecy and skill.

There aren’t any “good guys” on either side, Chuck. None. You don’t get to that level of government without being any somebody’s pocket. That isn’t a left or right thing. It’s just a thing.

Total respect for your point of view. It just isn’t mine.

          • Boom Boom says:

you don’t know anything. Mueller hasn’t presented his evidence because he’s waiting for
trump tocommit perjury. It’s pretty simple.
What are you missing? A head!

  4. Dee says:

IQ North of a Turnip? I am much more worried about meddling in our elections than I am about the bogey man at the FBI…I am sure that Comey announcing that he was reopening his investigation into the Clinton server a few weeks before the election was to help her win…

I will give you this though…our entire Democracy is bought and paid for. Neither party cares about the common joe…people with the IQ of a Turnip put Trump in (hey my neighbor STILL believes the Mexicans are going to pay for the border wall)..but given the choice of Clinton who can blame them….

The Decline of Western Civilization is upon us and has been for awhile..this nonsense of the FBI and such is just smoke and mirrors…

    • chuck says:

      I respectfully disagree.

There was a serious and concerted effort by Deep State agents in the FBI and DOJ to destroy a candidate for political reasons and the continuance of that effort to destroy the presidency of that same candidate after that candidate won.

It just doesn’t, in my opinion, get any more serious than that.

  7. Guy Who Says What Others Think says:

Solid article. I respectfully disagree with Jim. I’m not as far right as Chuck, but agree with the bulk of his thoughts above. Anyone who has studied history knows that the downfall of the greatest empires was not caused by outside forces, (in this case, the Russians) it was caused by forces within the empire itself (in this case The Establishment and the Deep State). There’s no tinfoil hats, Jim. The agencies tasked with protecting us, (FBI, DOJ, etc) are being shown to have been corrupt themselves.

    • Jim a.k.a. BWH says:

Newsflash, Guy. Every level of government has been corrupt for decades upon upon decades. (Let’s face it, always) At what point did they ever represent the best interests of the American people and NOT the best interests of the entities that PLACED them in those positions or lined their pockets? Answer: Never.

3 years from now, there will be a whole new “outrage” over something the previous administration was doing.

All this Deep State garbage is laughable. Check back with me in a few years and let me know what “stampede” took place, those who were jailed for their “crimes” or how our democracy was fundamentally changed forever.

Politics is a nasty business run by nasty people. There are no good guys on either side. They spend all their time playing “gotcha” to the other side. It’s the alt-right’s turn to sling it, now.

    18 U.S. Code § 2384 – Seditious conspiracy

    US Code
If two or more persons in any State or Territory, or in any place subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, conspire to overthrow, put down, or to destroy by force the Government of the United States, or to levy war against them, or to oppose by force the authority thereof, or by force to prevent, hinder, or delay the execution of any law of the United States, or by force to seize, take, or possess any property of the United States contrary to the authority thereof, they shall each be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both.

    (June 25, 1948, ch. 645, 62 Stat. 808; July 24, 1956, ch. 678, § 1, 70 Stat. 623; Pub. L. 103–322, title XXXIII, § 330016(1)(N), Sept. 13, 1994, 108 Stat. 2148.)

Rosenstein, Mueller, McCabe, Comey and others have subverted great American institutions that once enjoyed the respect and support of the public. That is no longer the case. The left, acting through the Democrat party has apparently decided that using these institutions to suppress their enemies was far more important than maintaining any kind of impartiality and professionalism that would have maintained the support and respect of the public

It started with lunatic fringe radicals like Obama, Holder and Valerie Jarret. The Rosensteins, Comeys, McCabes and Democrat conspirators of the world didn’t dream up the unconstitutional coup they carried out against opponents of the left and the Trump administration in particular. They were criminal underlings who were merely carrying out the marching orders of a corrupt and lawless president. The Democrats are tainted now as a seditious band of criminals and traitors, hostile to the constitution and the rule of law. If they don’t face criminal charges, respect for government will never be restored.

The head of this rotting fish, is the face of Barack Obama.

  9. Qanon says:

Keep in mind that had Hillary won EVERYTHING would have been swept under the rug and there NEVER would have been ANY investigation of Trump. All the FBI dudes would still have a job and the deep state would still be available to spy on the political opposition for Democrats and the courts would still be willing accomplices. Hillary would still accept “charitable” donations to the Clinton Foundation and those that hacked her e-mails could still blackmail her and Bill.

In summary it would be business as usual inside the Beltway with the swamp still intact.

  10. Stomper says:

Good offering Chuck. As usual, I disagree with pretty much everything you have written but it’s a great topic and I very much appreciate you putting it out there for comment.

Probably the most baseless opinion you offered is to label Mueller, Comey, Rosenstein, and McCabe as Democrat conspirators. I’m sure a smart guy like you would have researched their backgrounds before the accusations. They all have much stronger ties to the GOP side of the aisle. Mueller was appointed as U.S. Attorney by George Bush in 2001. Comey was appointed as U.S. Attorney in 2007 by Bush. Both were long time registered Republicans. Bush appointed Rosenstein as U.S. Attorney in 2005 and was nominated by Trump last year as Deputy Attorney General. While McCabe’s wife ran as a Democrat in 2016 and lost, McCabe voted in the Republican Presidential primary in 2016 but sat out the general election. To label all of them as Democrat conspirators is just not accurate. To label all Democrats as “a seditious band of criminals and traitors, hostile to the Constitution and the rule of law” is way over the top, Chuck. Generally, I think Republicans and Democrats are equally loyal to the Constitution and the rule of law. They just see the role of government differently.

Next up, the comment that anyone with “an IQ north of a turnip” would see things your way is a pretty elitist statement. I know you wouldn’t let me get away with a statement like “more educated voters tend to vote for Democrats.” How about a little respect for your opponent.

On my personal list of priorities, the attempt by Russians to influence our election is far more threatening to our country than is your “Deep State” conspiracy theory. I’m certainly not saying that there are not people in government that don’t have a personal/political agenda, just that it is way down the list of things that scare me. It is the job of the DOJ/FBI to investigate Russians meddling in our elections. Plenty of Congressional Republicans see this as well. To accuse these efforts as attempting to negate the election as opposed to protecting our election process is a major miss-read.

Chuck, I get it that you’re a conservative, small government guy and I respect that. There are a lot of areas on the GOP platform that I can see merit with and there are a lot of Republicans that I have high regard for and possess a high intellect in my humble opinion. The bottom line for my strong Democrat leanings is that I firmly believe there are critical areas in our society/economy that DEMAND government attention. The private sector can’t fix all problems and it’s not their responsibility to do so. Let’s just show some respect for the other side of the aisle and work together to solve our problems. Bipartisanship is not a bad word and in reality, there is a lot of common ground we share.

Again Chuck, thanks for the offering and the opportunity to participate in civil discourse.

    • Kerouac says:

      – Romper Stomper Bomper Boo!! Which is to say, you ‘hard a port’ guys first.

Take it from Kerouac (as others have but now recovering, if still licking their wounds):

Anyone who was not imbued with an sense of pride in/patriotism for, due and via President Trump his accomplishments year one – and against all odds, i.e., the msm and liberal obstructionists same, Congress – while listening Trump’s speech, isn’t an American but are by definition liberals (spelled ‘poor sports’.)

Speaking of ‘stomping’ off and showing a lack of respect, and the winner last night’s award goes to:

Louis Gutter-rez… one the dim Dem headliners who jumped up his low-rider seat and headed for the border (or Taco Bell) during the overwhelming chants of “USA! USA! USA!…”

He must have been overwhelmed – unless took flight in order seek immediate medical assistance for a stricken Nancy, seen suffering a clear case (speaking of a Bell that has gotten rung too often) of ‘Pelosi’s Palsy’ – excruciating facial pain; reportedly not amenable treatment, she died there in her seat with that stupid look on her face- ooops, wrong end.

Not sure who the two shades brown molasses sitting there stone-faced were, deaf, dumb and blind to President Trump’s factual statements re: the lowest unemployment rate for blacks/browns US HISTORY, tracking said. Of note: the ‘high’ mark all-time for black unemployment ‘peaked’ during [drumroll] Obama’s time falling down on the job [ rim shot / CYMBAL CRASH! ] BLM too had no comment; were busy looting and rioting somewhere in the USA.

Fortunately, Shutdown Schumer saved the lib’s with his own razor-thin shred of dignity via his usual repose, that of a smiling snake wearing glasses, hissing at the camera… the Chuck if not the bucking the President, begins/ends here.

“and work together to solve our problems.”

      – because that worked so well the eight-year abyss 2008 – 2016 when Barrack the Magic Negro was offered an olive branch by Republicans who instead got ordered executively to sit down, shut up and enjoy the ride his ‘my way or the highway’ descent to hell excursion; just sayin’.

“Bipartisanship is not a bad word and in reality, there is a lot of common ground we share.”

      – Mr. Stomper goes to Washington and… gets a wake-up call/education. Well, three more years first term, another four aft his reelection: President Trump’s ‘Making America Great Again’ Tour continues unabated… and the rest as they say will be HIStory.

Wow !! You’ve got a pretty impressive set of blinders there, K-man. Black unemployment (and White unemployment) has been steadily declining for the past decade if you check the “facts”. I am thankful however that President was able to motivate his FAA to prevent any fatal crashes for U.S air carriers during his first year in office. Now that’s something to hang your hat on. Yep, Schumer bucking the President is outrageous. I guess my memory of McConnell pledging to make President Obama a one term President is an imagined one.

Kerouac loves a good statistical battle. Sources vary but according one, ‘black unemployment’ reached it’s ‘high’ mark ‘year of our non-reparations’, 2010 – smack dab in the middle the term that guy wearing over-sized ears, a suit too empty & a hat too large, answering Obama.

It reached a high of 16.8% March 2010 according to my research; while your sources and mileage may vary, the # above appears not subject interpretation.

To borrow from Blood, Sweat & Tears – ‘what goes up, must come down’ but just as true is that it rose under Obama after his election 2008 from what it had been, afore the aforementioned change in direction – yet, an new President-elect Trump managed to lower it right out of the gate, to the lowest in history: 6.8%, merely THE LOWEST IN US HISTORY/or as long as it has been tracked, since 1972.

          Advantage: Trump

If it continues trending down the unmatched degree of descent that it has under President Trump, the NAACP will have to award ‘The Don’ with an honorary ‘Sammy’ in appreciation (nod Dean Martin his ‘Sands Hotel’ clip of 1963 carrying Davis Jr. in his arms: ‘I’d like to thank the NAACP for this wonderful award.’)

“Probably the most baseless opinion you offered is to label Mueller, Comey, Rosenstein, and McCabe as Democrat conspirators.”

John McCain and Jeff Flake are Republicans. I rest my case your honor.

“I think Republicans and Democrats are equally loyal to the Constitution and the rule of law. They just see the role of government differently.”

I categorically disagree. From Sanctuary cities and illegal immigration, to the attacks on the Rule of Law by “Activist” Federal judges, it is obvious, that the Democrat Party and the Left seeks a central, Socialist, all powerful Federal Imperium that determines what we do, what we think and how we act and speak.

“On my personal list of priorities, the attempt by Russians to influence our election is far more threatening to our country than is your “Deep State” conspiracy theory”

I guess we will start seeing the truth today. Facts and the truth will out.

I don’t disagree that there is a necessity for state and federal governments. The problem is the outrageous, out of control bureaucracies that seek ever more power and control in conjunction with the dramatic politicization of those same agencies.

I am smoking mad, that it is always, always the right who is diminished by IRS malfeasance and NO ONE goes to jail, or, is punished in any way for their corruption. Lois Lerner, smug, smarmy and sanctimonious, sits in front of Congress and takes the 5th, AFTER reading what she thinks is a exculpatory statement and zilch, nada, zero consequences.

Time and again, federal agencies and federal employees are caught up in partisan efforts that benefit Statist, Socialist and now, I believe Fascist, Progressive inclinations of the majority of folks who populate those same agencies.

Why is it, that the property of the American people, texts, emails, cell phones and documentation et al is “slow rolled”, destroyed and constantly obfuscated and hidden by these Federal agencies? Because, as anyone can see (I am not going to use the “turnip” phrase here, really, I am not, no, I am, sorry.) if they have an IQ north of a turnip, they (Federal agencies and Federal employees) are engaging in partisan efforts for their partisan leaders.

      Sorry, buddy, I tried.

I am reading, right now, a great book by Sidney Powell. Her assessment of one of the lawyers participating with the “Republican” Mueller is, and this is no exaggeration, is terrifying. Andrew Weissman is Roland Freisler reborn. Unmitigated evil. The book is called “Licensed To Lie”.

Thanks for the comment Stomper. You are no turnip at all, we just disagree.

Now, let that settle in on you… ANY use of the “skill” or ability by our FBI would be 100% dirty. That was over 40 years ago. This is not a new problem.

  13. chuck says:

Today, the Republicans are gong to “Release the truth Kracken”. Should be quite a party.

    🙂

    • Jim a.k.a. BWH says:

There’s no “truth” in a memo written by one side and one guy. Everybody, including those with ONLY the IQ of a turnip, knows that Nunes is a Trump waterboy of unequalled scale. He’s a hypocritical hack that waves patriotism and transparency under the guise of “truth”. If truth is what we seek, why not release the dem’s memo that disputes the veracity of the repub’s claims and context?

Interesting the memo was edited before it went to the WH without the oversight of anyone else on the committee, sans Nunes. They don’t even know what the edits are.

This is a circus, Chuck. You know that. It’s tit-for-tat to run interference on the Mueller investigation. You aren’t going to find any more truth in the memo than you do in your daily horoscope.

      • Boom Boom says:

so right jim…and today trey gowdy who helped write it
said ‘THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH MUELLER INVESTIGATION” gUARANTTED TRUMP AND FAMILY
got wired up when they read that. HAHAHAHAHA!
Trey gowdy…..he wrote the memo said that.
Guess that pretty much proves chuckies entire b.s. story
        another lie.

    • Boom Boom says:

A DUD……MUELLER INTERVIEWS TRUMP OR SUBPOENAS HIM TO
GRAND JURY AND HE BETTER ANSWER THE QUESTIONS LIKE THOSE
WHO FLIPPED ON HIM (MANAFORT/HOPE HICKS/SESSIONS/COMEY/
      DON JR./PAPDOPOLUS/GATES/MCGHAN/AND HIS SECRETARY)…BECAUSE
IF HE SLIPS UP…AND THESE PROSECUTORS ARE THE BEST OF THE BEST ND THEY’LL GET HIM ON EVERYTHING FROM LAUNDERING TO OBSTUCTION. IF HE’S INNOCENT WHY IS HE PUTTING UP THE FIGHT.
FOX NEWS POLL SHOWED 30% SAID THE REPUB MEMO MEANT ANYTHING…IT WAS A DUD….JUST LIKE YOu.
That memo knew nothing about fisa warrants. In fact this is not a war
of dems versus repubs….its repubs versus repubs.
TRUMP VERSUS MUELLER (registered republican and served for years
in high positions under republican presidents in appointed positions)
TRUMP VERSUS GATES (gates has the goods and just flipped. He too
      is a lifelong republican)
TRUMP VERSUS SESSIONS (REMEMBER all those hate tweets from trump
to sessions and when the sh8t hits the fan trump wanted sessions to save him but he recussed himself. Another republican versus republican)
TRUMP VERSUS COMEY ( COMEY too was a registered republican and ws
      appointed by republicans)
TRUMP VERSUS PAPADOPOLOUS (trump didn’t know him (hahahaha)..until he spilled the beans and flipped on donald. Oh…he was the
coffee boy…well hewasn’t a coffee boy he was another republican who worked
with trumps teams and now has flipped)
MANAFORT VERSUS TRUMP: THIS dufus ain’t going to jail for trump. He’l
fight this until they press another 15 fedcharges on him and add another 50
years in jail then he’ll flip too.)!!!!!!
HOPE HICKS VERSUS TRUMP: hot broad would be good pickings for the
other female cell mates in attica. She’d be their bitch for sure. And it would
be cool to see her without that fancy wardrobe/makeup/hair style etc. they
don’t allow in prison. She’s gonna sing like Aretha….and just another republican who turns on trump.
      THEN THERE’S BANNON: he’s got a story to tell…read the book dufus…and
wait for the tapes…….another republicanflipping on trump and family!
They and the rest of muellers evidence is coming from republicans. So far
haven’t seen him interview a single dem. You think these people are going to
do time (like 20 years) for this guy. And don’t forget the New York AG is on this too……and the ones I mentioned weren’t even involved in the money
      laundering that’s gone on.
Chuck’s been inhaling too much dirt to see this…but all these people including
kushner will be singing the blues.
And today trey gowdy….chucks here said the repub memo had nothing to do
with muellers investigation. HE KILLED THE MEMO AND HE HELPED
      WRITE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
CHUCK….NONE OF US KNOW EVEN .0000001 PER CENT OF WHAT
MUELLERS UNCOVERED. His money laundering prosecutor is the key.
So don’t act like you know what’s going on. No one really does. But its
republicans turning on trump….and we’ll see what happens. I’m going
TO PUT MY MONEY ON MUELLER!
All this crap trump and faux news is the same crap guilty criminals try to pull.
They go after the prosecutors…they go after the investigatorsbecause the evidence will be so overwhelming they’ll have not a single piece of evidence
to contest the fact they’re guilty. Maybe instead of watching Wheel of Fortune
chuckie you might watch some Raymond Burr reruns and learn a little
      about the law (hahahaahah!)

  14. Nick says:

Great trolling piece: Cherry-picked info plucked for a biased memo ( a memo intelligence pros disdain), while not allowing a dissenting memo, and no reference to the original documentation, all issued by a gentleman who might have his nose so far up the president’s ass he hasn’t smelled fresh air in over a year…

All this in an attempt to use the memo to force Dept. AG Rod Rosentein out in favor of someone who will fire Mueller upon Trump’s request.

But here’s the crux of the biscuit — 10 undisputed facts– the memo totally ignores:

    1. At the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, the Trump campaign, chaired by Paul Manafort (since indicted), worked behind the scenes to weaken the party platform’s anti-Russia stance on Ukraine.

    2. “Trump revealed highly classified information to the Russian foreign minister and ambassador in a White House meeting.”

    3. Top Trump campaign officials met at Trump Tower with sketchy Russians who had offered dirt on Hillary Clinton.

    4. On Air Force One, Trump helped his son, Don Jr., prepare a misleading statement about the meeting.

    5. Trump, contradicting what his staff had said earlier, told NBC he fired FBI Director James Comey because of “this Russia thing.”

    6. Michael Flynn, later Trump’s first national security adviser, talked privately about sanctions with the Russian ambassador during the transition, then denied it to Vice President Pence.

    7. Flynn (who has pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI) failed to disclose payments from Russia-linked entities. Trump has repeatedly defended Flynn
    .
    8. During the transition, Jared Kushner spoke with the Russian ambassador “about establishing a secret communications channel between the Trump transition team and Moscow.”

    9. Attorney General Jeff Sessions, then a U.S. senator, spoke twice the Russian ambassador, then didn’t disclose the contacts during his confirmation hearing.

    10. When Bob Mueller was named special counsel, Republicans widely praised him.

Be smart: No sane person looking at those known knowns would say this is a crazy investigation.

And in the long run? The memo won’t work out for Trump any way: Mueller obviously is working (at least) a 3-step strategy:

A.) continue to prepare his report, which will be utterly damning to Trump, Donnie Jr, Jared and a shithole of the Trump campaign folks (and let us not forget lil’ Jeffy “Grand Wizard” Sessions.)

B.) secure ALL the evidence of wrongdoing in case Nunes attempts to ‘disappear’ or destroy it ( or attempts to alter said evidence so it confirms HRC wrongdoing), while simultaneously sharing this evidence with the NY AG/others who can prosecute Trump for non-federal crimes.

C.) designate a backup Special Counsel for when he is fired as a way of continuing the investigation. I expect at least this much from Mueller, if not more.

It was a great piece of trolling…but dream on, Chuck.

  15. Shawnster says:

It’s funny…you give no credence to Russia’s interference in the elections. It’s fake news you spout. Yet you willingly believe a phony memo written by member a Trump’s transition team that contains factual inaccuracies, known distortions ,and out-of -context misrepresentations, yet this is the biggest scandal since Watergate? Forgive me if I scoff at your selective outrage.

  16. Stomper says:

Chuck, I’ll respond to your point down here so it won’t get as buried.

First off, I’m quite pleased that over the months/years of our political face-offs have reached the point where our discourse is more civil. I’m not a fan of trading or initiating insults like our peers here ( i.e. Harley/Boom Boom and Kerouac ) but I do relish the debate. I’m sure we won’t change each others minds but I will admit that partly because of you I listen to Fox News regularly to judge their argument and read the American Thinker completely because of you for the same reason.

There is one point, however that I will continue to try to alter your perspective on as you mentioned again, above.

Socialism – “a political and economic theory of social organization that advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned and administered by the community/government as a whole”

Chuck, I promise you that I’m firmly in the camp of capitalism. Advocating for a more active role for government (like a single payer program for health coverage) does not make me a socialist. It’s not black and white between us. I know a lot of Democrats and not one of them is a socialist. Only my opinion but one who advocates for the definition of Socialism above is un-American.

With regards to what you believe is going to result from the release of information by Devon Nunes et al, you appear to be relying 100% on the opinions of Sean Hannity and his posse. I laughed when I heard his comment that what this release will reveal will make Watergate look like the shoplifting of a candy bar. Nunes is a dishonest lapdog. Mueller and his group have far, far more information than anyone in the spectrum of the media (right and left) and regardless what you think of Andrew Weissman, his reputation as one of the top prosecutors/investigators of financial fraud and money laundering is respected by both sides. Check out Bannon’s comments on him. I agree with you and others here. Let’s wait another 45 – 60 days and see where we are. Adam Schiff and the Democrats on the House Intelligence Committee have information that Nunes wants to ignore. He even admits that he altered the version that was voted on by the GOP members of his committee. Once Mueller shows his cards then we can get a more complete picture. It’s going to be after the mid term elections this November before this gets close to resolution and Congressional Republicans will play a major role. Those up for election are squirming. Breaks my heart that Issa and Gowdy are running for the hills.

Thanks Chuck, looking forward to more exchanges with you in 2018.

AND Paul Wilson, don’t be a stranger. You are missed !!!

  17. Stomper says:

Chuck, forgot to respond to your book recommendation, “Licensed to Lie” by Sidney Powell. I’ve got a feeling it will be a tough read for me but I’ll try to give it a shot. Thanks.

I just finished reading Woolfe’s book, “Fire and Fury”. I’ll agree that it is not properly researched/vetted and it’s more entertainment than accepted fact but it was fascinating. Don’t want to ruin it for you but if you’re a Bannon fan, I think you’ll like it. I saw the clip about Woolfe’s dust up with Mika and Joe today. It’s not just Nikki Haley that he implied. Hope Hicks is up there too.

  18. chuck says:

    Here is the deal.

I think, that there is a time line, there is evidence, actual facts, there are witnesses and there is documentation, that supports my implication, that FBI officials, DOJ officials and perhaps others, engaged in an unlawful conspiracy to perpetrate a fraud upon the FISA court, in order to spy on Trump and his campaign, before and after the election.

The first shoe to drop, will be tomorrow and I agree with most of you, let’s just see if there is fire in the smoke.

I think, it will get pretty hot in the kitchen.

    See ya tomorrow folks.

    • Shawnster says:

From The Wall Street Journal today: “The memo shows no evidence of bias toward Donald Trump. There. Watergate? Please.

      • Nick says:

Sweet baby jebus, what a freaking let down. I was expect at least one untoward thing. Nunes is a dunce and a scared dunce at that; he can feel Mueller’s hot breath on the back of his neck and will cobble together ANYTHING. Dollars to doughnuts Mueller indict the little prick within a few months.

Sorry, Chuck – total waste of a perfect hyperbolic build-up…

        • Boom Boom says:

he’s used to trash. He digs in it. He knows nothing about anything….just like the rest of us.
We’re guessing…but right now its repub versis repub.
          He can’t doubt that.
The guy trump appointed …he now wants out because
he won’t stop the investigation. How interessting.
Trump will HAVE TO TESTIFY. HE’LL PLEAD THE
FIFTH OR GET INDICTED….EITHER WAY HE’S
SCREWED. Mueller has so much on trump they’ll need
wilsons moving vans to bring all the documents and
          evidence into court.
Didn’t you fools know these repubs would flip on trump.
They’re not going to jail for this crook.

    • Boom Boom says:

you forgot that to implicate 4 fisa judges all appointed by republicans/hundredsof rank and file itelligence agents who accumulated
the information/tapes, emails, conversations that were also used to get
those warrants….everyone together plus all the intelligence heads/prosecutors/
etc. all those people conspiring to get those warrants based on bad information.
      No way chucklets.
And the memo never mentioned trump….it was carter page…a known and
suspected russian agent long before trump even came on the scene.
      dream on old man.
