Glazer: Chiefs Destroy Raiders, Go Figure

chsoTalk about strange things…

How about our Chiefs being favored on the road in Oakland after losing so badly to the Steelers. Not only that but with the Raiders at 4-1 with a strong passing attack and a win that would place them a powerful position to win the division.

But hey, the people in Las Vegas knew must have known something. Because the Chiefs walked all over the Raiders 26-10. Not only that, they beat them up physically on the field. Derrick Johnson had a couple crushing tackles that could end careers. He was awesome with seven big tackles.

The Raiders started the game in the heavy rain with a big return and an easy drive into the Chiefs end zone.  It looked like it would be another bad outing for KC. However Alex Smith led KC right down the field for a score and the Raiders and Derrick Carr were pretty much done.

The Chiefs played by far their best game of the year. Perhaps their best road game in years against a top tier team.

sssAlmost all the name players on both sides of the ball for KC had good games.

Marcus Peters got his 5th interception and Dee Ford had two sack,s one that pretty much ended the game for Oakland. The Chiefs running game was on fire with Spencer Ware gaining 131 yards and Jamaal Charles getting some carries – a couple of which looked like the Charles of old.

Smith was back to being a good game manager with over 200 yards in the air and no INT’s 9but no TD throws). The Raiders looked horrid and seemed shocked they couldn’t stop KC. The Oakland defense is one of the NFL’s worst and may keep Raiders from winning the division.

The list of elite Super Bowl contenders changed yesterday as well.

Big Ben got hurt and without him the Steelers are just o.k. They got jacked in Miami for a huge upset. Dallas ran all over Green Bay and Aaron Rogers looked old and past it – sad.

That leaves New England as clearly the best team in the league at the moment.

And with the fall of Pittsburgh and Denver, KC is back in the picture.

New England, Dallas and the Vikings are currently top tier with a boatload of teams in the hunt at 3-2 including the Chiefs.

As we saw in the Steelers’ game, one big injury can end a team’s season.

The Chiefs have tons of weapons on offense as we have seen and need to continue to use them as they did yesterday.

Our defense needs to continue to play like they did in Oakland.

If all that happens KC can make some real noise by season’s end.

KC has a 2-0 record in their division, so this thing will likely be close all year and winning against a division foe could make the difference.

It’s a long season and the Chiefs need to be consistent and continue to improve on both sides of the ball.

“It summed up the Chiefs; dumb plays, poorly coached and light in talent. Have been for years.
Oh, they will win some games, meaningless ones as always. And they’ll finish 3rd behind Oakland and Denver for sure. But QB Alex Smith is now on his downhill run – not that he was ever that uphill.” – Craig Glazer 10-02-16

This is exactly why definitive statements and making absolute predictions after week 4 of an NFL season is silly. 2 weeks ago they were “light in talent”. Today, they have “tons of weapons”. Which is it?

I love your articles, CG. You know that. But, a tad more moderation on your part when evaluating teams from week to week might be a consideration.

Still predicting 8-8/9-7 for this team, but it sure was a good win yesterday.

    Cheers!

I think fans get stuck on the NOW, things change often…like the Steelers with Big Ben out..Green Bay with Aaron looking past it, that could change….now its the way it is…Chiefs have many good players, no great ones really…Charles was great but now a fill in, hey maybe he can do more we’ll see…Berry, DJ and crew are all good not great…Marcus Peters is new…we’ll see, how it will end, who knows

      • Jim a.k.a. BWH says:

I agree with the “good, not great” title except for DJ. If you are the all-time leading tackler for the franchise and will ultimately be added to the Chiefs ring of honor, you can be called great. The greatest? No. But great.

    • its typical of glazo.
the jinx continues….but this week he went against the chiefs….just
      yesterday before the game.
      Now he’s praising them.
Problem glazo the bozo has is he’s got no brains to analyze anything.
Just shoot from the hip style
What did vegas know? That Oakland is not that good of a team.
I’m sure they knew theweather as weather affects football games.
Not glazo though. He was drooling all over barbi and her pics on Saturday
night with jr. instead of doing some research on the games he picks.
Why does he go in the hole week after week after week.
      1. He knows nothing about sports.
      2. He can’t realize the external factors of a game that affect the outcome.
      3. Oakland has the new “gunslinger” but wet grass makes him impotent
as glazo with his 20 year old hotties.
      4. Glazo really has no intuitive abilities to examine what’s happening

  2. 80 per cent of the readers on kcc have now said you know nothing. You just
take up space on hearnes valuable blog.
They finally caught on to your lack of knowledge.
But Harley was the first to point out that you know nothing about sports.
Then the others caught on to Harley’s incredible ability to point out winners
    and losers.
They saw that in 2012…seeing it agin in 2016….so glazo before you
write ANYTHING…get it fact checked by Harley.
I’m so sure I can beat you and everything…willing to make picks an put
my own moneyup against your picks. Winner takes all or takes off all.

Hey, fukker, “80 per cent of KCC readers” have said nothing! There are multiples more READERS and commenters. READERS say nothing, only commenters, with the exception of YOU who says nothing but the same worn out repetitive, tired old lines. You’ve not had an original thought in decades. Anything you say that does sound reasonable I have copied, plugged in Google and in .05sec can see exactly where you plagerized it from!
Your stats and forecasts are nothing more than what you’ve lifted from other sites. I’ve checked it until it’s become a boring pass time.
As much as you dislike Glazer, you’re hated to a power of ten by “80 per cent of KCC READERS.”
But your big girl panties on and meet he and I face to face, you cowardly puzzy! Let’s see who the big talkers are. You hide behind your bogus $10K bet…and you have the nerve to criticize Glazers wagers? You need $10K to buy some balls, like the cowardly lion of Oz?

Did Jalen Richard even make it back into the game after the hit DJ put on him?

    Watch it again here: https://vine.co/v/5HrlWPP5iX6

  4. Jack Springer says:

I’ve said it before so many times … you know NOTHING about sports. Please stop writing about stuff you know nothing about.

    • CG says:

Funny I produced 5 moives on sports, CAMPIONS FOREVER, two on Ali, somebody thought I knew a little bit on sports. We all have opinions on sports. When you are correct, like I was last week on all games, nobody says anything, when you miss, ‘YOU ARE A DUMB ASS’ its always been that way.

      • glazo the bozo…
you’re not a smart man…much less a smart prognosticator much less a smart bettor.
One week out of 90 does not make you a smart bettor.
Because when you foolishly try to beat the odds on these
        teaser bets you lose consistently.
Sure youhad one good week but you gave it back this week.
Betting is just like hitting your head on a wall. One or two
times bashing your head on the wall might not give you
brain damage but doing it for 4years and you’re making
a fool of yourself in front of hundreds of thousands of
        readers of kcc! (lol)
So keep to stories like Black Barbie and the rest of your
        girls.
At least no one can doubt your ability to get action…even
        if it’s just with jr.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. CG says:

As we all know the haters never change, never. Nothing you can do about it. If you write on these blogs. Same haters, same comments.

    • glazo…you sound sad…..
brighten up….just trying to point you in the rightdirection so you
      don’t lose all your money.
You’d be better walking across thestreet to Hollywood casino and
playing blackjack than doing these teaser sucker bets.
Not a hater…just tyring to help you out!

    • WHATS NEW PUSSYCAT!
Hearne was so enamored with tom jones just thought I’d cheer the guy
up with some of those famous lyrics:

      pUSSYcat…pUSSYcat…I love you….
      you with those pussycat lips!

Hey its a beautiful day outside. Ate some incredible food outside on the
plaza…..it’sa great time to be alive….it’s a great time to be an American!
      I’M WITH HER
      HILLARY 2016!

      where’s kerowacky…where’s southern man….where’s whinery….where are
all my republican friends? It’s gonna be okay. With a little luck the rethugs
can hang onto the house…otherwise….we’re coming after your guns!!!!!!!!!!!!
(just kidding chicky chuky…we don’t want your guns!!!!!) hahahahahahah!

  6. CG says:

In conclusion on this one story, as I have written many times before. I don’t suggest betting on football or anything else to make a living or risk your funds. If it were easy or there were tons of winners, there wouldn’t be a Las Vegas. Even the guys on national radio and online who pick winners each week have a hard time going up over .500 each year in wins. Most people who gamble change the amount of their bets on every game. So its not consistent. We are told you need to win at over 60% to make a profit if you stay pretty much with same bets per game. Of course ONE huge win knocks out many small loses. However same thing with ONE big loss.

As also mentioned by me many times..”No I don’t bet all these games” I make picks for the site as do hundreds of other guys who think they are in the know. I RECOMMEND you don’t bet your hard earned money on football or anything else. If its small and affordable and for fun, that’s different.

I get tips weekly from ‘pros’ in the biz and I’d say they are too often ‘wrong.’ They mean well but, its a tough road. Sure there are a few groups who do the math, stats, get some inside scoop and get some good results. They too often lose on ‘sure things.’
Example the monster bet in Vegas from all the ‘pros’ last week was a tease on New England over Cinn with Pittsburgh over Miami. Made a ton of sense what most considered the two best teams in perhaps the NFL, Pats and Steelers, against two bad teams. Pats won easily but Big Ben got hurt, played poorly and the Steelers were trounced by lowly Dolphins. It happens. It happened. Remember when our Chiefs who had won but a game or two all year beat an undefeated Green Bay to end their long winning run. A huge upset. It happens. That was just a few years back. KC was I think a 12 point underdog and terrible, but they pulled off the upset.

When I was in my early 20’s I was introduced to ‘Texas Hold ’em’..we had just opened Stanfords in Westport, I had just returned from my crazy outlaw days in Arizona, and it was a fun outlet for me a few nights a week after work or nights off in KC. I was the ‘kid’ in these big games played with ‘older men’ in Belton Missouri and on the Plaza at ‘rich’ guys homes. In those days few people knew what ‘hold ’em’ was….I lost a few grand learning the game. In most games with 25 dollar per bet limits and higher, a player could win or lose a couple grand. Big money for a young guy or really anyone.
After playing for a couple seasons, I got pretty good at it, won over 20 straight games…saved up over 20 thousand bucks. Heck I thought about going pro, moving to Vegas and being a poker star. One night on the Plaza at age, 23, I got into a game with a lawyer and another big shot…went all night, I lost over 28 thousand bucks…I was in shock. I had to go to ‘household finance’ to get the last 4 grand to pay off my loses. All in one night. Damn. I went back to ‘get even’ and lost another few thousand days later.

It was a nightmare. I learned a valuable lesson. Gambling was no way to earn a living!! It is a fun ‘hobby’ when played within your means and for fun. Sure there are poker pros who do well, not many. The ones you see on tv winning on ESPN seem unreal. However in knowing a few of them, most of them lose it back in private big games or in Vegas. These are pros and its uphill. You just can’t win every time out or often enough in most cases. Sure there is skill but also luck. I never got anywhere near that deep with football. I got lucky years back when an old gambler in Vegas told me this, “Son what team in football do you know best?” I told him my beloved Chiefs. He said are there games or a few teams they just never beat, he said. I thought about it and said a couple. One was the Colts with Manning. The guy said then bet against KC when they play the Colts. I thought ‘bet against my team’ never! Well he was right. I finally tried it in the early 2000’s. My brother and a pal put up a tidy sum and bet with the Colts. I hated to do it, but he was right, WE WON. I felt good to win a big bet in a casino sports book room, everyone was looking at me, the entire room knew I had a big bet on the Colts. I thought wow I hate seeing KC lose but I don’t make money when they win, I’m not on the team, its just pride. This worked for some time, and there were a couple other teams like that, but in the end it never lasts and I slowed it way down. I hear my pals on 610 and 810 picking games, often wrong, but their reasons always seem to make sense.

In the end picking games is just for fun. I’ve had pros say, “bet all you got on so and so” and then it loses. Nothing is a sure thing. If you can afford to bet a few bucks here and there and gets you excited hey that’s fine. Maybe you bet with a friend or in large pools picking many games all season for a reward at the end if you come in first, second or third. I’ve done that and won. However its hard and usually you don’t win anything. It’s mostly for fun and a small entry fee.

So all these haters that think when I miss I’m losing my shirt or stupid or don’t have a clue. Not true, I don’t bet big much anymore, its just too risky and I DON’T ADVISE ANY OF YOU TO GO BET what you can’t afford to lose. It’s gambling and its always uphill. Its fun when you have a good week, win a few hundred, then you throw it away on dinners, a few new dudes, but boy when you lose a few hundred, its..’man I could have made my car payment’….way it is…so be smart, keep it for fun or don’t bet at all. Those pools are safe, no big loses and bragging rights at seasons end if you finish near the top. My picks are just picks. I’ve had some good years and some not so good. Nobody I know is rich cause of football betting, again there are a few out there, but very few….
