After the debate and all the noise, where are we now on this presidential election?
Here is the simple answer today; Hillary Clinton according to USA TODAY and most major polls, is up 43.1 percent of the vote to Donald Trump‘s 41.5 percent. In Las Vegas, Bovada, the major gambling site online went from -215 for Clinton to -250 over Trump.
Meaning Hillary is a more than two to one favorite to win.
Things are looking far better for the Trump campaign today, but is it enough?
Hey, in August Clinton was a 5 to 1 favorite in Vegas.
She had anywhere from a 12 to 7 point lead in voting percentage according to ABC, NBC and USA Today. So yes, the Donald has closed the gap big time. However, time is running out.
And no matter who you think won the debate, it didn’t move the chains much either way. We will have new poll numbers by Friday. I think Trump may have gone up a bit, but not much. Not enough. Las Vegas – who is damn good at this thing – says Trump went down.
Remember, they had Obama at 5 to 1 just before the election that climbed to 7 to 1 day before election and Obama won handily.
There are some odd and unusual issue though…
Trump draws thousands to his rallies and speaking extravaganzas, where Hillary usually draws far smaller crowds often just a few hundred or less.
Trump’s crowds are thrilled, smiling and overjoyed, whereas Hillary’s just aren’t. Another odd thing, where are all these minority voters who reportedly love Clinton at her events?
Not like Obama’s, huh?
So the big question: Can Hillary Clinton bring out the vote on November 8th?
Will all those who say they will vote for her go out and vote? Trumps’ people sure will be there, will hers? Clinton’s supporters just don’t seem that inspired. Trump was given $18 million dollars online yesterday for his campaign, a record for one day.
As it stands today, I believe Hillary Clinton would win a close race. She just has an edge. Trump has closed the gap, but he isn’t winning yet.
So what can Donald Trump do to up his numbers? What’s left, two debates? More scandals about Clinton? It seems we’ve all heard enough about both. Would more terror attacks continue to help Trump? That sounds awful but it may be true.
No question Donald Trump is the show and has been for entire primary run on. But is that enough? The polls are saying, NO.
I believe it may come down to Clinton getting out the voters who say they hate Trump and just want anyone but him. Donald will have to continue to quiet the haters by staying on point and finding a knockout shot.
As of today that’s still not quite there.
Had Trump crushed her in the debate, maybe…but he didn’t.
Hillary Clinton is still the safe choice today.
Trump is still the wild card – maybe not as wild but still a gamble. Vegas says no to Trump but they are watching. If this thing gets down to close to even in Las Vegas and the polls show Trump leading by 4-6 points a few days before the election, well, the upset may happen.
Today it’s anyones guess, but the experts say it’s still Hillary Clinton.

538: Let me tell you the problem with nate silver. Nates numbers are off!
Yet he has Clinton winning with a 70% chance and over 290 electoral votes
which my stats/numbers have shown and which I posted for over 3 weeks on kcc.
But Nate is using 2012 algorithms….2012 turnout numbers….with no compensation
for the increase Hispanic/college educated white/and African American turnout
that is expected in 2016. Therefore Nate is broken. His algoriithms are based on
4 year old models. Which if it was 2012 would make sense. But since 2012 2 million
more Hispanics have become of voting age (including the huge numbers of new
immigrants moving into southern florida from Puerto rico/latin America/etc.
So while nate’s numbers may eventually catch up to 2016…his numbers for turnout
and voting behavior don’t take into several factors.
1. trump will never reach the % of white voters with college educations that
Romney had…especially women. And with the continued genius move
by the former Obama head guys pounding trump for his hatred of women
that will be an even more impossible task. That also applies to men.
Romney won those groups by way over 20-30% and trump will be lucky
to get to 19-23%! Which is a huge number of voters who came out for
Romney but will be voting for Hillary (or possibly third party…although
we are seeing with added emphasis from surrogates that a vote for third
party…..is a vote for trump. Trump has to find away to either make up
for those voters switching or he’s dead meat. And the question is where
does he make it up…..the numbers show nowhere.
This election polls really are becoming useless. WISLON/WHINEY AND

Hispanics: Thanks to mr. trumps hatred and “rapists and murderers”
comments mr. trump will have a huge disadvantage in the Hispanic
vote with 23.5 million able to vote. Ever Hispanic media including
Univision (which reaches more viewers than abc/nbc/cbs/fox) has
invested not only significant time on air but millions of dollars in
what I believe is the largest gotv operation ever. In states that
went for republicans heavily (like Arizona) these are close races where
Hispanics will make a huge difference. The major Arizona paper, which
in its entire existence never gave support to a democrat…came out after
over 100 years and endorsed Hillary….an incredible move. Will it mean
Hillary wins Arizona with 40% Hispanic population…to be honest it doesn’t
matter…just like Kansas and Missouri don’t matter for Hillary to get to 270.
But they will significantly affect the numbers in florida/Illinois/new jersey/
which are already in the Hillary column. But 38% of people in America
right now are Hispanic…forebearing what we will see in future elections…
massive Hispanic influence on local and national elections. The increase
in Hispanic voters may not have as huge an effect on prez race…but they
will in down ballot races in states where their numbers have skyrocketed.
BLACK VOTERS: jUST READ where Clinton people were nervous about Florida
black voting. Really insignificant…Clintons road to 270 can either win or lose florida and ohio. But they will park Obama and michelle there for 3-4 weeks and that will bring them back. The real significance in the black vote will be in north
Carolina/rust belt (where she is pegged at close to 75% chance of winning Michigan/Illinois/Wisconsin/ and possibly ohio. (although again my numbers show that ohio is not needed for her to reach 270).
POLLS: Spoke with the Obama campaign and they believe that this race
is essentially over. This is not a national election and national polls mean nothing. She will win Pennsylvania ( she will campaign there about 25% of the time) and will win heavily in pittsburg and Philadelphia which will mean trump needs a lead of 500,000 in the rest of the state which will never happen to win Pennnsylvania. In Ohio…the race rests in 2 counties of which her numbers are very strong and trump based on his numbers nationally would have to pull over 63% of the white vote in that state (which can be done but with the gotv army Hillary has put in there it will be tough….especiallyamong suburban housewives).
TRUMP: If you’ve followed the headlines not only
on left sites but also on sites like redstate.com you see that trump is losing it. If you watched MSNBC after the debate Trump went off the rails against his
son in law and campaign manager and his illegal immigrant wife melania was PISSED at Ivanka. Tapes were recorded and I imagine the confrontation from that tape will be made public. Millions of americans had never seen trump before.
They’d seen his clips and his interviews on fox and his 10 minutes of dialogue that he had in the republican debates. What trump can’t do is speak….and he showed
it Monday. He rambles/has ADD/was sweating (watch him wipe his brow and his face for sweat)…..and he has no knowledge of the issues and those can’t be learned in 4 weeks…..He can promote his pro Christian agenda (just last night he wanted to point out the non Christians…which is getting closer to the same program Hitler used to take Germany)….but he’s falling apart. The commenters seem to be excited about one candidate or the other and I’m fine with that. No president has ever knocked on my front door offering me giveaways, so I don’t get that excited about elections. I suspect the election will be close because they’re all close these days. Most GOP members will hold their nose and vote Trump and most Dems will do the same and vote for Clinton. Meanwhile, I’ve got to work today and to be honest, that takes up more of my thought process than wondering about HRC’s emails or Trump’s latest gaffe in front of a microphone. Yawn …
Harley, what is your analysis on the Senate races and the majority makeup of the incoming Senate? What states do you think the Democrats will pick up?
to be honest stomper…I am doing work for 6 candidates in various
parts of the country right now.
My stat/modeling business exploded this year and I have not really
had much time to focus on the senate. If I had my druthers I’m thinking
that it comes out 50/50 which would be great for dems since if Hillary
wins Kaine (Mr.KC) is deciding vote.
That gives dems 2 years to pass their bills…because 2018 will be a
bloodbath for the dems in the senate as they literally have to defend
7 seats in republican country.
And without a national election it will be tough.
However…my numbers are shaping up as I said.
First of next week I will be looking at florida very carefully. Miami -dade
county is the key area for republicans…to see how this castro story will
affect the Cuban vote there. Hillary is about 3.5 points behind trump there
which is miraculous because that’s great for a dem in that county. But we’ll
need to wathc the I 4 corridor numbers to really see where she stands…but
even to get to 270florida is not essential.
recent poll (of which interviewed a much higher number of republicans
than stats show vote in the state) had Hillary up 4 points.
Fact remains the senate races will be good for only one thing….approving
Hillary’s supreme court nominees. After that we can expect filibusters and
no action from the house which should stay republican.
But…if the dems can get a 50/50 senate…or maybe squeak out north Carolina
and got 51/49 that will be the crown of the election. That means with
a 6-3 court we will see some incredible changes in lawin America that will
change everything we thought was locked in for the next 40 years.
I spoke with a republican pollster yesterday who said that he heard from
reliable sources…trumps taxes are coming out. The next debate is a town
hall style which trump will not really beable to prepare for since the
questions brought up may not even focus on the key issues in the race.
Hillary excels at the townhallformat which if she can make it thru the
second debate unscathed and unrattled the race is essentially over.
I will be hitting the road the last days of October/first week of November
in a roving reporters (sort of) access to the final campaign days.
Also, spoke with another consultant who was involved in several months
of focus groups for republicans. Trump spitting out his possible use of
Bills indiscretions did not play well in any focus groups. If he should decide
to throw a hail mary and become full board on that issue it’s probably lights
out for trump in this election.
I am still waiting for the real barn burner in October. Trump was allowed
into the briefings given to the president by security officials then came
out in support of putin. He owes putin and the Russians billions. He owes
the bank of china billions (some off the books)….So you’ve seen him pull away
from critiquing them in his rallies.
Plus…as I mentioned a huge number of those at his rallies are not registered
to vote. And the big democratic guns are ready to come out for Hillary.
And they will make the difference. Obama/Michelle/Joe/Hayden/Kaine/
Warren/and even the senior bush could be involved in the final month.
And despite Hearnes contention that print is dead…these papers coming
out for Hillary are going to have a huge effect. Especiallyin ohio and the
rust belt and florida where the large numbers of older adults still read those
papers.
I predicted 290 and possibly over 300 for Hillary. Nothing has changed.
But with dumpster expect the unexpected. But as bad as trump has made
us believe this nation is….we’re all living pretty good.
And I hope the old boys at kcc eat more dominos pizza…my stock is over
150 now. I bought it when they started running ads at how bad their
pizza was and how they were going to change it. Well they didn’t change it…

Violence from the Left and BLM protestors again two days ago in El Cahon California. He barely gets out alive.
In Pittsburg, Darnell Hall shoots a man who says, “I think Donald Trump would be a good president.”
Joshua Sturman attacked an elderly man in Pittsburg for supporting Trump.
We know what happened in San Jose.
In May, vandalism and inciting a riot charges were filed in Orange County, California, against Luis Fernando Alarcon, who was caught during an anti-Trump demonstration that turned violent.
A Los Angeles Times reporter posted a photograph of a man with a bloodied face wearing a Trump shirt on Twitter. Journalist Matt Pearce tweeted, with the photo: “Trump supporter got hurt.”
There are literally thousands of reports of vandalism against property with regards to Trump supporters who have the temerity to sport Trump Signs in their front yards.
There are hundreds of videos on YouTube showing BLM supporters attacking those who are stupid enough to be white or are Trump supporters.
The MSM does not condemn such violent displays. Rather, they press the American viewer to “understand” the angst of the protesters.
The media, will tells us that we must dig deep and understand why this is happening.
I understand what is happening. The election, will be rigged. The violence from the left will be obfuscated and minimized. The intimidation at polling places will be ignored. The vote count, overseen by the Department of Homeland Security and Jeh Johnson will make every effort to influence and debase the actual outcome. The demonizing of those who do not support the Progressive Narrative will continue as it has, is now and will be in the future in the Fascist Church where the new President/Pope/Hillary will be, with her thugs in the street and Harley We-Are-The-Borg supporters, infallible. Obama’s pen and phone proclamations-come-law, will now become Hillary’s Papal Edicts in need of no oversight and enforced by violent self appointed, Commissars in the street while the Main Stream Media gloats and sings Hosannas to the new regime.

Your de facto permission for violence against Trump supporters (See the Huffington Post and Salon), your abject abrogation of any semblance of objectivity (The NYT and dozens of other famous malodorous, mendacious, masthead’s over the top promotion of Clinton/Obama and their lies, deceit, malfeasance and criminality.) might bring you to the point, where you have to actually find some “High Ground”.
