Look out, here comes Donald Trump…
Or wait, was that the Kansas City Royals coming back? No, Trump is indeed on the comeback road. In fact, CNN has him 2 points up. USA Today had Hillary Clinton up by just one point and the same with All Clear Politics.
So it’s now a horserace again.
Why?
Well, after all this time the Donald has finally started listening to his advisors – for the most part. He is calmer, watches what he says, and is being far more specific with his plans on the economy, military and a bit all over the road on immigration.
However, Trump still wants that wall, dammit!
His latest battle cry is his plan for our military. He’s been showing that it’s aging, has a lack of enough ground forces and needs lots of new tanks and updated battle equipment.
Hillary points out he spent zero days in the service, but neither did she or Bill Clinton.
Trump also talks about dumping some of the current generals in charge if he wins.
Another big factor is the daily updates on Hillary’s computer ills, the Clinton Foundation and her possible poor health. Again, most of the TV news focuses on Trump and his many appearances and speeches while Hillary doesn’t do news conferences.
She does do some speeches on the campaign trail but none have been particularly uplifting of late.
What does it all mean?
Well, that first debate is looming large again.
If Trump can stick it to her without reverting to some of the nastiness in the primary debates – and he sure could – then this thing may be up for grabs again. Right now it’s being said that over 25% of voters are undecided.
That’s huge.
So if Trump can continue to grow his followers, a possible upset could be in the making.
If the election were today, Hillary would likely win.
However time may not be on her side. Hillary is stuck with staying the course while Trump is the one with all the new ideas.
Meaning…this race is now just that, a race.
If Trump can behave and more and more negatives on Clinton continue, he still has a real shot at winning.

FYI…….There will NEVER be a wall. Ever. Logistically, financially and politically impossible. All those Trump rubes that actually believe this is something that will happen are just that. Rubes. Illegal immigration is essentially a zero sum game right now. There are as many people leaving as there are coming in. Illegal immigrants are down 1,000,000+ than just a few years ago. Any idea how much of the land that Trump wants “his” wall on is privately owned, Federal park land and completely inaccessible for supplies and equipment? Additionally, some 40% of the current illegals DIDN’T cross the border illegally. They had a LEGAL visa and are simply choosing to over-stay it. This whole wall thing is such a red herring. Besides there is already over 900 miles of physical and/or electronic fence along the border.
Lastly, the Federal government doesn’t build walls. Private contractors would have to do that. Private contractors with share holders, etc. Any inkling what a political nightmare that could be for any contractor to be involved in such controversial project?
Again, there will never be a wall. But, keeping talking about it.

Unless you live in Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Virginia, and maybe two or three others, your vote doesn’t count in Presidential politics. If you live in New York or California or roughly 35 other states, nobody cares. IMHO it will come down to a few counties in Ohio and Florida to be more precise.
The real elections, the far more critical elections, will be the Senate races in Illinois, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, North Carolina, Wisconsin and maybe even Florida. If the Democrats can pick up a net four seats, the Supreme Court will go liberal for the remainder of all our lifetimes.

The Chiefs are still an unproven franchise, a playoff win against an average Houston squad for your first postseason win since 1993 was not an explosion by any means. So the Chiefs have lots to prove. I agree Denver could be a monster again, maybe even better. Have to hand it to John Elway, what a GM. And then some.

Actually, it is a pretty good article, and yes, Stomper, the Senate is in play, but to what ends? The last time Democrats had a super majority, they passed a law without a single Republican vote, and it cost me $20,000 over two years in higher healthcare premiums. I still have not been able to attend that lactation class I paid for (Hooters wouldn’t accept the claim form). I know how Harley and Stomper are voting, despite it being a secret ballot, but they have no idea how I will vote. It is seldom a straight ticket. I have listened to both sides, and I cannot change the outcomes of other states, like Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, or California, but I can draw my own conclusions about the average voter in thse states. The issues really aren’t the issues, and I have heard them all from Hillary’s earbud and coughing spells, to what she says about Trump (He lives in her head rent free). There are many of us who are willing to ignore government altogether if it gets too intrusive, or ignores the Constitution. It is just a fact.
