Glazer: Battle of the Political Losers

Obama-s-Puppet-Hillary-Clinton-42948Hillary Clinton‘s been backed into a corner with the FBI’s Computergate‘ report and her many scandals…

It’s really overwhelming and that will make it difficult for her to build much excitement over the next few months. She just isn’t very trustworthy and her past more than illustrates that.

On the other hand, Donald Trump continues to be all over the road. He did choose an excellent vice presidential partner in Indiana governor Mike Pence. Pence is the conservative many thought Trump needed to mend the fences with the right wing of the Republican party.

However in typical Trump fashion the announcement and his handling of it was shaky. Plus it appears that he had second thoughts on his pick up until the last day and hardly let the guy talk when they were interviewed all day. Trump continues to say many of the same things with little in the way of specifics to back up his plan to make America Great.

So while the Clinton’s have tried to hand this race over to Trump, he just can’t calm down enough to make people feel at ease with him. You really don’t see much of Clinton in the media compared to Trump. And with all the civil unrest and terror attacks everywhere, Trump sounds the tough guy candidate.

However no one knows exactly what the hell Trump would do to fix anything.

Trump continues to talk about Trump and not much else.

Yes, the polls have them in nearly a dead heat right now.

And if Cleveland isn’t a disaster Trump should pull ahead of Clinton in the polls following the convention. Clinton will then pull even or up after her convention. Way it works.

Thus America is left with a tough choice.

Ball_Of_Confusion_Nixon_Lead_tx700That’s something we all know.

America is sick and tired of the current system, however Trump just doesn’t give off a feeling of confidence to make those changes.

He’s only confident about himself and his abilities.

Hillary being an Obama puppet, is looking bad with all the police killings, racial unrest and constant terror attacks all over the world. It falls on her administration which at this point has no strong answers and seems weak.

To be fair nobody has a good answer.

It’s a terrible mess out there today, as bad as it’s ever been.

People are scared and you can’t blame them. We’re looking for a new, strong leader, but the choices both appear problematic.

Trump represents change, but who knows what he stands for really. Tough call.

This one looks like it will come down to the wire with constant changes in who is in front.

Clearly Trump is helped by the constant violence and Hillary’s numerous scandals. As the unrest continues President Obama’s popularity will also take a hit and that too hurts Clinton.  And now comes more inside looks at the Clinton foundation.

Oh boy.

Well someone has to win the White House in the end. And one thing for sure about Donald Trump is he won’t be boring, that’s for sure.

Lord knows what the heck is gonna happen.

And so goes the reality show election coming to a television near you TODAY and everyday.

Trump’s lack of extemporaneous brilliance and uncoachable personality are troublesome. He is, as you say in so many words, his own worst enemy.

    • Harley says:

by the way chuck and glaze…check the most accurate polling company in
America (of course besides Harley) and even with melanias lies….the white
supremacy agenda of the rethugs….HILLARY STILL HAVE OVER 325
ELECTORAL VOTES AND WILL WIN BIG.
I am waiting for the matrix and algorythms to come in…but as I said
a year ago…it’s looking like MADAME PRESIDENT. My final call will come
in august…and remember I was right on in 2012. will be right on in 2016.
Don’t agree…be a man and get 10K and lets see who’s the king!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Repubs are turning away from trump. All that’s left is what even the
repubs call trailer trash. And if you should disagree…get your 10K
and lets see if you can handle this like a man or if you’re a big talker
without any balls (hey glaze….testosterone will reduce your balls. After
a while you will have no testosterone produced. You will be susceptible to
cancerous cells which will take over gthe healthy cells in your body. When that happens its over and out. Be careful….who would hearne have to keep
kcc if not for glaze and Harley battling it out as we do. That’s the truth
from thousands of doctors….Harley isn’t a medical genius….just have seen
what this can do and it ain’t pretty).
Oh…and don’t forget those planks. They’re great! And tough. ask trainer
Mitch….and you can show them off in your next porn movie.

  2. Thats a Fact Jack says:

    “his own worst enemy”

Yes Glazer should be able to relate to that.

    • CG says:

And what does that mean Jack? About what? I’m not running for office last time I checked.

When you are in the media or public eye to a certain extent people will judge and have opinions. Way it is…I run a business and have for decades. I am not in public office nor looking to do so…I just express my opinions. Those, like yours, change at times. Other than that I have no involvement in other people’s lives any more than you do.

I am in the comedy biz and that in and of itself may offend others. Comedy is often funny cause it goes against the grain or pokes fun of daily life. We laugh cause we relate to what is being said and how we view it or how we see ourselves. My take on sports, politics and what goes on is simply my take. It is ever changing as things change.

Nobody is perfect and we all make mistakes. I know I have. Its from those mistakes that we often learn the most about what to do and what not to do.

I realize some of my stories about my sex life or dating or different situations can be controversial. Mostly those stories are to entertain, nothing more.

Now that I have lived the better part of my days I look back often and see how things could have been better or worse. I do feel I was lucky to experience so many different adventures in America. Some good some dangerous, some I wish I never was part of and so on….

We gave Kansas City an opportunity to be at the forefront of comedy entertainment in this era. Stanfords which went from a restaurant and bar to a major hub for launching comedy stars in the midwest and around the nation during the 80’s and 90’s. My father and brothers and staff over 40 years helped do all that. Today people that told their first jokes or stories on our stage in Westport or other Stanfords locations are stars in film and television as well as seen my thousands in big theaters worldwide. This was a great gift we helped generate. Stanfords also introduced major talent to KC in a small venue to such a great extent never before done in our city. To see the likes of the Damon Wayons or Lewis Black and so many others come to our city and perform in a small venue where people could not only see their talent but meet them and make it a moment to remember with photos or handshakes is always special.

Yes its often a bit painful to see hateful comments on this site and others about me. I wish many times I could sit down with these people and answer their questions of ‘why’? Many call it player hating, its really most often misinformation or exaggerations about an issue or a story that has no truth at all.

The simple truth is, I work daily at Stanfords, I help manage the business and often get on stage to introduce comics and do some standup comedy myself. My evenings are not that wild these days. I like to go home, watch tv, sports, movies and enjoy my pets and family. My nightlife is much more tame today than when I was younger. Getting older does that to all of us. I am single so I still date around but it too is more a dinner and a movie or show than going to a strip club. Most of those events were to entertain comedy stars or cause I was dating a girl that worked at a club here and there. That’s all. I rarely go anymore. One of my longtime friends owns a club out south and I haven’t been there to see him in months. So I’m not as wild as it may seem.

We all have a past. Some good some not so good. I tell my stories as a part of making choices in life, maybe the choices I made early on that seemed fun and unique at the time are ‘not’ the way to go. We can learn from others experiences what to do and not to do. If I had a choice today that’s what I’d be doing much more often, speaking as I have to young people on choices we make that have a price tag latter.

I’m sure that this doesn’t change your impression of me, I doubt we have met or will. Just think back on your life, your choices and what you might have done differently or not. Again in the end all we are left with is memories of what was and will never be again. No matter who you are in time it is all forgotten. Such is life. It starts, it rolls on, it goes up and down, then it ends.

Last night went well for the Trumps. This race will be close and I think down to the wire the way its going. Hillary has the advantage but not by much and that could fall.

  6. Libertarian says:

As long as you vote for the 2-party system, nothing will change.

Hillary has figured out how to squeeze more $$$ out of politics than Dick Cheney ever could. Trump? Unless he surrounds himself with brilliant minds, he’s got nothing.

    Sad.

you from porn pics so I guess you chickened out. I couldn’t do a double backside punch and kick on an old man. What happened to the hair piece?.

  9. Shawnster says:

I think Trump will win the popular vote (sadly) but Hillary will win the electoral votes. I think she gets just enough of the swing states to matter and this sad farce will carry into the new year with charges of “rigged system”, corruption, dark money and whatever else crackpot theories the lunatic fringe (both sides by the way) can concoct. Something has to change to bring this country together but these are not the candidates to do it. We are in full-blown decline & fall mode.

    • Gavel to Gavel says:

      Holy cr#p that’s depressing.

    • Harley says:

wont happen. Hillary carries the major metro areas like philly/la/Chicago/new York/Miami/san fran where all the big huge volume
votes come from. She will win the popular vote easily.
Remember trumps strength comes from the small towns with small
voter turnout and should be significantly lower in popular vote.
Hillary will win the states with most electoral votes……Illinois/cali/
wash/Oregon/fla and probably ohio (trump has no gotv offices in almost
60 per cent of the areas he needs to win. In florida he’s completely
      outmanned in gotv.
Ask any political analyst and they will tell you that having a superior
gotv operation means you get a plus 2-3 per cent of overall vote which
      bodes well for Hillary.
Also, note the voter suppression laws that are now being shut down by
the courts. The republicans passed some very tough voter ID laws which
have been struck down in court…especially in a state like Wisconsin where
the law that repubs got passed was just ruled unconstitutional which will
make voter ID invalid. A simple form filled out will allow you to vote.
I believe at least 4 major battleground states have thrown out those
unconstitutional voter laws which means Hillary picks up huge huge
      numbers of voters.
Also remember that a study done showed voter fraud from 2012 and
2008 was like .000028% which meant there was literally no fraud at
all. I will get those stats.
Kansas law was alsothrown out…I will get that info also.
And the important state of Virginia has had a ruling which involved
200-300k new voters…most of whom are Hillary supporters who will
be contacted to get out and vote.
The repub convention has been a mess. Yelling for people’s lives
is not the way to run a political convention.
My final numbers will be out within 6 weeks but I can tell kcc readers
now that Hillary’s numbers will skyrocket (as they did when she got the
nomination as predicted by Harley) and will skyrocket again after the
      dem convention.
Right now I’m showing Hillary with over 350 electoral votes with some
      traditional red states in play.
When a democrat in 2012 is only 4 points behind the republican in the
heaviest red states at this point its serious problems for repubs.
Look at Georgia/texas/she will probably win Arizona with its 38 per cent
Hispanic population…she’s within the margin of error in states that romeny
won by 20-25 points in 2012…that’s trouble for trump.
And had you listened to George Bush he said today “I will probably be the
last republican president!” something I have said for over two years now.
And I received word that trump will be forced to show his taxes and that’s
      the killer for him.
Plus voter registration drives have just started and Hillary is counting on the
biggest voter drive ever on every college campus starting in august which should bring her another 2 million voters.
      If you disagree…bring the facts….
right now…I’m saying Hillary goes into the final 2 weeks with 350 electoral
votes and with her goes the republican senate and that means the supreme
court will be changed for the next 50 years.
      thaks for your time.
      Harley.

  10. CG says:

Shawn you may be right. This thing is just so odd its hard to call. I do feel Trump is gaining momentum with the convention. His family is a ‘huge’ help. America can see he is a great father and people that have worked with him ‘love’ the guy. They all say he is kind and helpful and caring and I think that matters. The Dem’s haven’t found anyone that works for him or is close to him to bash him. That’s odd.

I have a feeling if the world continues to have attacks and civil unrest here Trump will win this thing. He will dominate the white male vote and I think this warm fuzzy with his family and now a nearly unified party will gain him maybe 50% or more of female whites. Will the 15% of black voters come out to back Hillary? Hispanic voters? We just don’t know. She will need a large number of them to win.

I can see Trump taking Florida and maybe, just maybe New York. Ohio is gonna be tough due to John Kasuck hating on Trump, we’ll see.

Again its up for grabs right now. Polls now show Trump ahead by 1 or 2 points but these polls can’t be looked at much too early…Hillary will gain it back at her convention.

I am surprised at how calm and well run the Cleveland convention has been. That helps Trump as well, no real violence or major protests inside or out that matter.

The debates should be entertaining. Trumps plan to increase spending on new and existing government programs while providing the greatest tax cuts the rich have ever seen will lead to the greatest budget deficit in the history of the world. I am looking forward to hearing some specifics.

Thanks to Nikki Glaser for her front page story Sunday. I appreciate her kind words about our relationship in comedy. She is now on her way to being this cities top comedy star of all time. Her new show on Comedy Central that she stars in is a monster hit and already picked up for next year…hoping she comes back to us one more time before the theaters..but so proud of her. A former KU gal and started her career with us at Stanfords Hooters in 2000. Great lady. Very talented I will do a story on her over the weekend.

    • Frank says:

“I’m talking a lot about dogs recently because I just got one,” says Glaser, calling from her home in Los Angeles. “But my favorite thing to tackle is misogyny and double standards with men and women. I’m not a bleeding-heart feminist, but I do like to call out that stuff in my act. It’s nice when you find a perspective that no one has hit on.”

Hey Glaze, she’s talking a lot about dogs in addition to sex, you might get along with her…. But… OHHH NOOOO! She doesn’t like misogyny. Well, you can’t win ’em all Craig. She’s not a bleeding heart feminist though, so you might be able to get her to agree with your thinking.

    • Harley says:

actually…in all truth…credit a huge name to the glaze.
I saw her at his place a long long time ago. She is hilarious. And
glaze I think got her started.
So even if glaze and I go back and forth (again…I hope its for fun and
entertainment for the audience) glaze did really make this one.
As for our meeting. I’m a lover not a fighter.
So even though we battle it out on the board I still have the highest
      regards for glaze.
He (like the rest of us) made it through good and bad times.
He’s not a quitter. The most incredible p.r. guy ever. How he does
it I could only wish I Knew.
And while we argue and scream (caps) I still luv the guy. He’s
the only reason this blog has made it.
So print this one hearne….Harley gives credit where it’s due.
And glaze can say that this woman’s success is his accomplishment.
Take care glaze. Maybe we’ll meet at woodside have a drink.
Now…if we can only get the royals straightened out…get the chiefs
a big year….then the city can get back to the craziness we’ve all loved.
      Luv to all!
      the one and only Harley~!

  13. Harley says:

the broad loves dogs. Maybe she can have jr. work his majic on her just like he
    does on the glaze.
