Stomper: The Definitive Donald Trump Analysis

120202094519-romney-trump-endorse-horizontal-large-galleryI’ve neither the insight nor the bravado of our esteemed commenter Harley

That said, I must confess to having erred more often than I ’d like to admit. And while I’m not quite ready to admit being 100% wrong on Donald Trump, it sure looks like the Fat Lady’s about to cut loose with regards to the GOP Presidential nomination.

Which means I now must confront my Whiskey Tango Foxtrot moment.

How did we get here and what does it mean?  Is what appears to be the inevitable selection of Donald Trump as the GOP nominee for president merely a simple recalibration of the Republican Party that Democrats must also do from time to time or does it portend something more ominous for us as a nation?

The “darkening of the skies,” Weimar, Germany moment that Dwight Sutherland referred to in his recent piece here?

My intention is only to give my assessment of how we got to this point where The Donald looks to be the choice of the Republican voters as their nominee.  I won’t predict what may or may not happen from this point on. However, it does look to be a very bumpy ride, with lots of intriguing twists and turns

And frankly,  I can’t wait for the next few months to unfold.

Republican-Elephant-UPSIDE-DOWNI love discussing and debating politics with friends from all political persuasions, many of whom strongly believe that the rise and acceptance of Donald Trump as a viable presidential candidate is foreboding for our nation and signals the beginning of the end for our particular brand of democracy.

Yes, we may have made it more than two centuries and may think we’re on solid ground but one only has to look at post-war Europe and stratified Latin America to recognize that Democracies are fragile creations. They require careful attention and wither easily in times of both real and concocted crisis.

FILE - This Jan. 24, 2014 file photo shows Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Reince Priebus standing on stage at the Republican National Committee winter meeting in Washington. I lean more towards viewing the Trump phenomenon as being a reversal of the pendulum swinging in the GOP and a cleansing of that party. As opposed to a general indictment of the entire American political process.

Certainly there is a major change taking place in what’s regarded as acceptable political discourse when a candidate like Trump can make outrageous statements (John McCain is not a war hero; Mexicans are rapists; ban all Muslims; I could shoot someone and not lose voters, etc.) and his ratings actually go up.

And I do believe the pendulum has swung a bit too far on the side of political correctness and The Donald has certainly gotten plenty of mileage on that point.

Despite being a Jew, I can appreciate a good joke that makes fun of stereotypes within my religion and my Italian and Irish friends can laugh at themselves when fun is poked at their ethnicity as well.  However, as a country we have become a bit too thin skinned and that’s unfortunate.  Self-deprecating humor is as American as apple pie.

That said, I think to a great degree the Republican Party has shot itself in the foot and failed to see the self-destruction they’ve caused.

When faced with a fork in the road between pragmatism and trying to grow the tent of supporters versus uncompromising ideological purity, Republicans made the wrong choice (assuming the goal was to win elections).

If you’re a Republican that regularly reads the Bible, maybe you should recheck Galatians 6:7.  If you want to win the White House, wouldn’t you want to broaden your appeal and seek support among the larger voting demographics?

AuH2OAccording to Gallup, in 2015, 61% of women supported Planned Parenthood yet all the GOP candidates seem to want to talk about is how quickly they will defund Planned Parenthood.

Hispanics are the most rapidly growing demographic among  U.S. voters, yet harsh and aggressive rhetoric calling for increased restrictions on immigration is an obvious slap in the faces of Hispanic voters .

Maybe Republican party honcho  Reince Priebus’ contract needs to be reviewed.

Some believe it was Barry Goldwater who first said, “I’d rather be right than President” during his 1964 Presidential campaign against Lyndon Baines Johnson. However  the quote is generally credited to Henry Clay on the floor of the Senate in 1838.

Shockingly, neither man won the Presidency.

The Republican Party began its self-immolation in earnest in early 2009, shortly after Obama took office with the birth of the Tea Party. In opposition to Obama’s goal of helping bankrupt home mortgage holders, CNBC’s  Rick Santelli, on the floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange called as the protest,  the dumping of derivative securities in Lake Michigan that summer.  The Tea Party was thus given birth and it began a Civil War within the party itself .

Screen Shot 2016-03-03 at 1.26.48 PMThe Tea Party’s enemies were not Democrats, but moderate Republicans.

Add to this that the stated goal of the Republican leadership in Congress (John Boehner in the House and especially Mitch McConnell in the Senate) was to obstruct the new President at every turn.

That admitted goal – of NOT working across the aisle to reach a compromise – was and is stunning.

The insult Ted Cruz opted to hurl at Marco Rubio was that he was a member of the Gang of Eight and actually  worked WITH Democratic Senator Chuck Schumer to craft an immigration plan.  Seriously??

That bi-partisan Gang of Eight included Republicans Lindsey Graham and John McCain – not exactly Congressional lightweights.

It used to be that the goal of those elected to Congress was to work across the aisle, find compromise, and pass legislation to advance the nation as a whole.  Fo find common ground and move the ball downfield.   Not anymore.

Now Congress is in total gridlock and as a result, public approval ratings for Congress has fallen to single digits.  Even among Republicans, just one in three approve of the jobs being done by Boehner and McConnell. The GOP Senate has openly refused to perform its constitutional duty to begin the confirmation process on President Obama’s Supreme Court nominee.

Screen Shot 2016-03-03 at 1.27.19 PMAnd instead of Republican presidential candidates focusing on the standard GOP issues of lower taxes, smaller government, jobs and the economy – which ought to be a possible winning strategy against Hillary Clinton – they’re focused on critical issues like physical stature, big ears, small hands, and the color Orange.

The standard approach these days is to insult each another.

It is against this backdrop that GOP voters are rebelling against their leadership, the “establishment”.

It’s clear that ideological purity is of no concern.  Voters just want to reject the path their party has taken.  Why else would they so overwhelmingly support a candidate who has repeatedly voiced support for Planned Parenthood, repeatedly voiced support for a single payer health plan (Trump’s closer to Bernie Sanders on this issue than Hillary),  repeatedly promised to work across the aisle with Democrats, and has a resume that shows a recognition of the value of government?

The Donald is light years away from being a true conservative Republican.

If and when he wins the nomination, I think those who have supported the also-rans will have a real dilemma when they’re asked to hold their nose and vote for Trump in the general election when he spent the run up insulting their first choices.

I had to laugh when Lindsey Graham said the choice between Trump and Cruz for the GOP nomination was like choosing between death by gunshot or poisoning.

In assessing the GOP’s game plan,  Walt Kelly’s Pogo comic strip quote comes to mind, “Having lost sight of our objectives, we’ve redoubled our efforts.”

I don’t see all this rebellious upheaval and rejection on the Democratic side.

Yes, there is an outsider candidate on this side as well, but the discussion/debate here has focused on issues and not insults.  On the left side of the aisle the debate is idealism versus pragmatism and there is much common ground.

There doesn’t appear to be much in the way of a potential problem for the supporters of Sanders to slide over behind Hillary when she wins the Democratic nomination.

So no, I don’t subscribe to the theory that Trump winning the nomination is the sign of the apocalypse, of impending Armageddon for our American form of democracy.

It’s just a sign that GOP voters think their party needs an attitude adjustment.

It may take a cycle or two, but I’m confident the Republican party will be back.

It’s been around too long and has too many solid pillars in its foundation to just disappear so quickly.  What they need to do is replace Reince Priebus, can the Tea Party rhetoric, jettison the focus on social conservatism and rediscover the meaning of compromise and pragmatism.

Put down the shovel guys and try to grow the tent.

“Moderate” is not a curse word.

Maybe finding another Nelson Rockefeller or George Romney ( that’s right, George, not Mitt) would do the trick.

37 Responses to Stomper: The Definitive Donald Trump Analysis

  1. The rethugs made their own bed stomper. They allowed the growth of the racist
vile wing of the rethug party to take over and when they realized all the promises
of the fools they elected never came true they realized they made a huge mistake.
So there’s the American hitler….Trump…who with his non answers and no
positions and short answers to complex problems comes on the scene. His rallies
resemble the Reichstag rallies held by hitler as he drove to power.
But the establishment republicans didn’t expect his behavior and his insultsand
his sudden rise to take a full 35% of the republican vote. Had there been fewer
candidates early trump would be out of the race by now. He would maybe
be in the pack but if there had been one or two strong candidates by the rethugs
(and I can’t even name one) trump would be back with the salerno family in new
    York.
And his competitors didn’t take him on. They laid down and let him walk over
them. Even fat boy Christie let him piss on him.
But the future does not bode well for mr. trump. He’s the conman and liar I pointed
out a year ago. Here’s some facts:
He only built 3 buildings…all with huge cost overruns.
Scammed 100 million dollars from unsuspecting people each to the tune of 15-25K
with his trump university telling these people he could make them rich in
    real estate.
His money came from licensicing deals which most went broke. Trump clothing
line (made in china)…trump vodka….trump airlines (not seen in years and investors
left with nothing)….trump everything….trump golf courses (many now are going
down the tubes)….and when the businesses he did actually own he had friends
who would bail him out like the Saudis who bought his 900 million dollar plane
and bailed him out on his numerous broke real estate deals.
Then came atlantic city. Banks waited in line because he had the philly and ny
markets to draw from to loan him money. They failed and hence 4 bankruptcies…
huge losses by investors and people losing their life savings.
And now not only does he have a billion dollar collection of democratic pac’s waiting
like wolves to tear his business failings down but he’s got huge republican pacs
(including club for growth/and eventually kochs) waiting to tear him a new
a$$hole. He’s a conman…and liar and he’s taken many people down with him
and not the “great” businessman he’s fooled people into thinking he was.
Once his opponents starting attacking him starting a week ago polling showed
that these attacks were starting to cause serious damage to him. Just one week.
Imagine 7 months of uninterrupted negative trump ads bearing down on him
    day and night 24/7.
The numbers point out what I said a year ago. If you look at his primary vote
numbers he’s really only received 17% of the total vote in most states. That could
be his ceiling which kills the republican party. We’ve already seen hundreds of
influential republicans with millions of followers saying they are voting for
Hillary……or sitting out the election. And with Hillary on target in recent polling
to get 80-85% of the Hispanic vote….10% more of the African American vote than
even Obama got…..a large percentage of the female vote….plus needing only 40%
of the white vote…..it’s not going to be very close.
CNN poll just had Hillary up 8 points (52-44) with the same thing I’ve said
before…..without at least 40-45% of the Hispanic vote trump won’t be evenclose…
especially where the Hispanic vote is located and where it’s grownin large numbers.
So you can take K and glaza the clown and put the circus paint ontheir face now.
With glaza a bright red wig would look good. Because Harley is proving them
wrong AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN…..
I invite someone to bring up stats/data to disprove what I have written but they
can’t because these are the facts.
Show me the numbers and polling of how this plays out. I know you can’t.
So nice article stomper but I was saying all this a year ago.
    Harley knows!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. Jim a.k.a. BWH says:

Excellent read, Stomper. Good lord, what a disaster this whole presidential campaign has been. If Hillary can survive without being indicted and Trump actually doesn’t shoot someone, it looks like that’s going to be our choices. Seriously? In the land of opportunity where some of the best and brightest minds on the planet exist we get blow-hard, arrogant carnival barker and a morally neutral heir apparent whose main qualification seems to be that she has a vagina. Not that Bill has seen it in 30 years, but you catch my drift.

Repubs are SO far out of sync with the social values of the vast majority of Americans. As a whole, society doesn’t give a crap about gay marriage, legalized pot and Planned Parenthood. Polls overwhelmingly show Americans are OK with all of these. If the bible-thumpers would stop trying to prove they love god more than dem’s and actually champion a “personal freedom” issue like gay marriage and/or legalized pot, they would increase the size of their tent astronomically.

It’s been a fun show to watch, but at some point I’m going to have to pull a lever for one of these buffoons.

    • Guy Who Says What Others Think says:

      +1000, Jim! Well said!

    • and today we saw the official civil war start.
go to #dump trump. Listen to Romney and McCain who trump failed to
hail as a war hero (“I don’t like guys who get captured”) after years of
      torture in a pow camp.
Let the blood and insults flow.
No way the trumps take their lying carnival act to d.c.
      buy some popcorn!

  3. PJ O'Rourke says:

Continued from your question below and on this too.

“Arguing, in the sense of attempting to convince others, has gone out of fashion with conservatives.”

“Fiscal conservatism is just an easy way to express something that is a bit more difficult, which is that the size and scope of government, and really the size and scope of politics in our lives, has grown uncomfortable, unwieldy, intrusive and inefficient.”

“In its worse forms, conservatism is a matter of ‘I hate strangers and anything that’s different.”

  4. paulwilsonkc says:

    Nice, nice piece, Stomp.
I’m calling it now – brokered convention. They won’t let Trump take it. No chance he can win by anyone’s stats.

    • Stomper says:

Thanks Paul, I think you’re right. Looks like he is now taking a lot of incoming heat from the old guard. I never thought the establishment would let Trump win but I also never thought it would take them this long to get pro-active. There’s going to be a lot of pissed off Trump voters if the party takes this away from him. It will be high drama to watch this unfold.

Got a favor to ask of you Paul. You are the guy to do this for KCC. We need to see a piece on Jeff Roe, the KC political consultant who is working for the Cruz campaign. A local guy is in the heat of the GOP Presidential campaign. It’s a natural for this blog.

      • Frank says:

I guess the “old guard” didn’t fully understand the mentality of a majority of its base. I will admit that it’s hard to know who you are spewing bullsh** to when you don’t see them or know them.

      • paulwilsonkc says:

        I simply DESPISE Jeff Roe!
Why don’t you and I talk about it off line. Id love to, but with a lot of primary, first person research. You’ve got my cell, use it. I’ll be at Cafe Trio all afternoon if you’re out and about.

        • paul…how can therebe a brokered convention?
and who’s going to do the dirty work and move the
          delegates around.
I see trump winning the delegates to take the
nomination but what type of events would have to
happen for there to be a brokered convention.
I’m not seeing howthis is possible.

          • Stomper says:

I attended the last GOP brokered convention in 1976 when Ford and Reagan fought it out at the convention here in Kansas City and the behind the scenes fighting between those two was pretty intense. Assuming it gets to the convention without a winner then after the first round of votes, all delegates are released. Delegates will then meet by states and be courted by both sides. There will be some heavy leaning done by the establishment at each one of these state meetings and I would bet that the establishment group calling on each state would include people like Romney, McCain, Ryan, etc. pleading to each group to unite behind a single candidate that they choose. Platform deals will be made to secure votes. That candidate could very well be someone not even in the mix right now. That’s how the delegates get moved around.

To answer you question on how does it get to a brokered convention, once we get to March 15th, the primaries are winner take all so it is critical to have a single candidate other than Trump win the big states. Rubio needs to win Florida and Kasich needs to win Ohio but as long as someone other than Trump wins those big delegate states, Trump can’t get to 1237, or whatever the exact number is. That’s what the old guard is working towards. At this point, I think holding on to the Senate is almost more important to them.

          • paulwilsonkc says:

            ^^^what he said.

          • I think both stomper and wislon are wrong.
            no brokered convention. Stomper showed
no numbers to prove his point so his opinion
falls into the trash can of kcc outside hearnes
            Lawrence home.
And now Obama’s approval rating is starting
to climb. 51% now. Could reach 54-55%
by October. Probably America realizing that
guys like trump and little marc and ted the
            liar just can’t cut it.
So the higher the approval for Obama, the better for Hillary.
And heard that the liar trump will go on a
fundraising drive after he gets the nomination
which is another great lie for this pos.
Self funding? He ain’t got the money folks…
like mitt said maybe he’s got 150M but nothing
near the liquaid cash needed to take
            on 2 billion dollar machine.
Money will pour in ( dark money from foreign
sources including the Saudis) for Hillary and with the laws no one will know where the money came from because of PAC laws.
Money will come from Mexico and central
America and will never be traced because of
citizens united along with millions of
European dollars….plus the US pacs with their
millions. Hillary already has 1.5 million in her
organization with the help of 8 years from the
Obama organization. These are facts people.
And the focus of this money is already targeted/
produced and ready to annihilate the trumpster.
He has too many skeletons in his closet that
remain unknown and HE could be the
one indicted by a grand jury within 60 days.
Go with Harley. He’s been 100% right on
            every major event/sporting event/election…
            and he’ll be right again.
I will restart my newsletter in may.
            Its set….trumpster the dumpster versus
the smartest political team in American
            political history….the Clintons!
            And Harley knows the outcome!
And I am still taking bets.

          • paulwilsonkc says:

Harley shows no numbers to prove his points, so his comment goes in the trash can as well. Nothing more than your opinion. No cited facts. Which, by the way, is what Stomper and I offered – an opinion.
This isn’t hard hitting news, it’s not polling. These are essays and opinion pieces from various perspectives across the spectrum.
No one has seen your newsletter either, so that goes in the myth pile as well.
            Thanks…

  5. CFPCowboy says:

Great piece. The question facing Republicans is and was not no but Hell no. Republicans may hate themselves, but not enough to vote Democrat. You missed the FBI offering immunity to the individual who set up Hilary’s server. You don’t offer immunity in civil cases, and the indication may be that there is already a Grand Jury impanneled. I have always questioned the voters, but, perhaps, it’s the Parties. How did we get here? Perhaps it was national defense, taxes, a slow economy, the Affordable Care Act, The Iran Agreement, and the fact that nobody got punished. No, the fat lady has not sung, because this is not a normal year. The voters have discovered the first words of the Constitution. For once, politics is four dimensional. Looking at it in terms of Democrats and Republicans may not be enough.

    • cowboy….I guess you’re an attorney? you need to keep up on
hillarys story………just found there was no breach of any server.
that’s great news for Hillary…..and how many times have cases fallen
apart when someone was greanted immunity.
I’m no lawyer…but I watch this stuff very closely….so should you.

      • Stomper says:

Bryan Pagliano is testifying not because he was offered immunity or fears criminal prosecution, he is testifying because Hillary’s staff told him to. Nothing to hide so get it out there. In hindsight the use of a personal server was MAYBE not the best move but criminal intent, no friggin way.

    • miket. says:

“No, the fat lady has not sung, because this is not a normal year.”

Cowboy, the Fat Lady hasn’t sung yet because she is gagging from acid reflux.

      Nice piece, Stomper!

  6. Just the Basic Facts says:

Not a one of these so called candidates is an angel by any means. What ever happened to electing the one most competent in doing the job. You have people like Jeff Roe running election campaigns who only know how to trash the opponents as the way to win an election. I never thought anyone could be more sleazy than Craig Glazer, but these presidential candidates have all proven me wrong on that subject.

America no longer has leaders, we only have thugs and corporation owned lackeys running our government.

  7. CG says:

Well done. Nice breakdown. Stomper I know someone who picked the Donald months ago?

  8. Trump Supporter says:

Is there a Trump supporter among you? Has anyone in this discussion declared their support, privately or publicly, for Donald Trump? I don’t think any have, so it is amusing to see you discuss the rise of Donald Trump.

I AM A DONALD TRUMP SUPPORTER. I would be happy with any of the 4 Republican candidates (Trump-Cruz-Kasich-Rubio is my ranking).

I should note that I disagree with Trump on many issues. I am a staunch libertarian. I frequent many of the Libertarian Events hosted by Crosby Kemper. I support the Show-me Institute. I have volunteered for Ron Paul, and was at one point a registered member of the Constitution Party of Missouri. And I was an active member of the Tea Party. All of these should prohibit me from being a Donald Trump supporter. And yet, I support Trump.

A vote for Trump is a vote against politics as usual.

We worked very hard in 2009 and 2010 to win the House. The House was not won by the establishment, it was won by the disenfranchised voters of the ideological right.

After this huge win for the Republican Party, the Establishment said thank you. They said “Thank you, BUT… in order to win the Presidency we need you to get in line behind the establishment candidate.” We obliged, and got in line behind Romney. The establishment failed us, Romney choked.

So in 2014 we rose up again against the Establishment. Eric Cantor, House Majority Leader, the leader of the House that was elected by the disenfranchised Republican voters. Eric Cantor was defeated in a Primary. It was thought this would be a wake up call to the Establishment. We made our point with Eric Cantor, and gave the Senate to the Republicans.

So now the people Stomper blames for the Trump problem, gave the Establishment the House and the Senate.

And what does the Establishment do? NOTHING. They don’t pass bills for the President to Veto. They do NOTHING. And expect us to fall in line for their Establishment candidates.

Not going to happen. Donald Trump can win the presidency. He can beat Hillary Clinton. And more important than his policies, is the message. Listen to the people or we will burn your house down. We are too civil to do it literally, but we will do it with votes.

And what do you see now? An establishment that still does not get it. They threaten not to support Trump. Well guess what? We supported your two-bit piece of sh** candidates for years. We got in line for the good of the party. Now its their turn to get their asses in line, and they won’t. They haven’t, they aren’t and they never will. A vote for Trump isn’t always a vote for his policies, its a vote for the country, its a vote to take America back. Not take it back from Mexicans or from Obamacare or this or that, its a vote to take it back from the Party elites on both sides of the aisle.

Trump may be a complete disaster. But I’d rather take a gunshot to the head than death by a million cuts. And the party elites are a death by a million cuts.

    • Stomper says:

Great comments Trump Supporter. I appreciate you taking the time to lay out your well presented perspective. If I gave the impression that the Trump supporters created the problem, I apologize. My point was that the GOP establishment lost touch with their base. Not being a supporter of Trump shouldn’t preclude me from giving my perspective on how he got where he is. Actually, Trump is in line with many of my views on the role of government. If you are a Libertarian, it’s pretty obvious you would disagree with Trump on a lot of issues but your disgust for the GOP establishment is valid based on what they have done with the victories you handed them.

      Thanks again for commenting.

    • trump supporter:
without the establishment republicans you are just supporting another
      loser.
The establishment of republicans obstructed dozens of job bills (and remember that every dollar the gov spends in infrastructure they get
1.17 backin taxes) which would have added millions of jobs.
But you fell for their phony tricks….they lied to you about what they
would do and you got suckered into their promises.
But they don’t want to lose their golden egg…and trump wants it.
You got played like a kid…you fell for their b.s.
NOW YOU HAVE TO LIVE WITH IT!

      • Trump Supporter says:

I did get suckered, and I got played, I said as much in my comment. That is a valid example of what could lead a person to support Donald Trump.

    • Libertarian says:

      And the dynamite goes BOOM!

Best part of your statement? This….

“And more important than his policies, is the message. Listen to the people or we will burn your house down. We are too civil to do it literally, but we will do it with votes.”

Lets hope this message resonates through the land.

      Stomper-Nice write, pal. Keep’em coming.

    • the dude says:

The only problem with your support of Drumpf is he is an entitled, punk bully jerk that would be nothing if not for daddy’s money. He would just be another New York jaggoff.

  9. Kerouac says:

As sports/players, were Presidents/politics – people – better, more decent yesteryear? Kerouac will always come down the side ‘yes’, if only due splitting hairs in need a trim.

Perspective is, always, a matter said. For some folks, a desire make saint(s) of sinners, results [ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a5hFMy4pTrs ]

Warm fuzzies abound… yet, a president who ended slavery secretly planned to deport freed black people out of America, while another was notably stand-offish toward the Civil Rights movement. The latter was also an immoral forerunner latter-day clinton, while his little brother (likewise a presidential hopeful himself) had the same affliction (and their yet younger brother made for three, same). Another canonized was radical, disapproved of by over 60% the American public, but today is considered by many (if not by me) a ‘saint’ – he ‘had a dream’, one which included an “radical redistribution of economic and political power” (say ‘barry soetoro’ – or barack obama if prefer, as tap your heels together thrice followed ‘there’s no place like Socialism’ & ‘the highway’ in lieu ‘my way’ executive orders, ad nauseam.)

Today’s name-calling across the board is the child of yesterday’s father’s, deportment as decorum having long ago fallen by the wayside, the candidates as media types and humanity in general… we made that bed so now sleep/toss and turn in it. An desire to ‘go home again’ imaginable however, duck soup, cast my vote… so much for ‘progress’.

  10. REPUBLICAN CIVIL WAR.
If they do what stomp and wislon and the rest of you say to trump and steal
his nomination….there will be a price to pay.
Remember trump gets the support of the militia in America (although trump
is almost to the left of Hillary) and they’ll be ready with their muskets!
good luck. I’ve got plenty of popcorn and snacks to watch the repubs
go the way of the whigs.
How about that debate. Try explaining that to your kids with the type of
language used. It was a laugher!

  11. THE REAL DEBATE IS COMING UP SOON!
    Who has the longer shlong?
    THE DONALD OR THE GLAZE?
Forget the rest of this b.s. Every model/hottie/stripper/ho from coast to coast
    is waiting for the answer!

Carly Fiorina won every debate she was allowed to participate in. Trump has lost every single one in my opinion. The most recent debate, was a unqualified shellacking. He embarrassed himself, the process and the party. Yet Fiorina is gone, Trump is going to win.

Trump’s candidacy to this point, has been the definition of “Blunt Force Trauma” and only now, are his opponents stripping off their establishment waistcoats and resisting in kind. Republicans have no one but themselves to blame for the ascendancy of Trump onto the national political stage. The comparison of Trump’s Populist message to pre war Germany and Hitler is “Dog Whistle” bullsh*t meant to hypnotize the chickens in the American barnyard. Gimme a fu*kin break.

Trump will continue to be accosted from all sides and eviscerated in the Main stream Media, especially after the General Election Campaign in underway. His legacy in this effort, will be a refocusing on issues important to every day blue collar Americans who actually work and pay taxes to support the insanity foisted up0n us by our Government.

The FBI will provide evidence that more than meets the requirement for an indictment, but Loretta Lynch will employ the “Prosecutorial Discretion” prerogative and pass on the indictment.

Good comments Chuck. Perception of the voters is what should be the reality to the party leadership. I thought Trump got exposed in the debates as well. Heard from lots of pundits that agreed but then saw countless polls that showed voters thought he won overwhelmingly. Trump Supporter explained it very well in my opinion. His supporters don’t care about the details he hints at as far as what he really believes on issues (healthcare, Planned Parenthood, role of government, etc.), they’re pissed at the party and that’s the message they want to send. So what if the guy is a closet Democrat. As I’ve said here before, in my opinion, politics and your individual choices should be a function of what you see as the role of government. The individual personalities should be superfluous. They are all liars and snake oil salesmen on both sides. Hold your nose and vote for the candidate that most closely adheres to what you see with regards to the issues you feel are most important.

Cue the Simon & Garfunkel words from “The Boxer”.

  14. JUST IN OFF THE A.P. WIRE. REMARKS FROM DONALD TRUMP IN WICHITA:

I’m not a normal Republican,” he said to huge cheers at a rally in Wichita. “Of course, my penis is normal Republican size. Okay? Normal! I guarantee.”

Trump paused to take in the applause before taking his penis out to show the cheering crowd.

“Now, who thinks Obama was born in Kenya?” Trump asked the crowd, apparently forgetting to put his penis back in his pants.

“YOU are my people! You know that? I love you,” Trump exclaimed before noticing his penis beginning to swell.

A staffer scurried onto the stage to zip up the Republican frontrunner as he began to riff about the horrors of Mexicans, Muslims, and common decency!

    HAHAHAHAHAH!
