Glazer: Super Bowl Bound Chiefs (?) & Scribe Picks

7-TnpSo3You hear it on talk radio – Chiefs QB Alex Smith has finally arrived…

After a 1-5 start, Smith has improved each week to lead the Chiefs towards the post season. According to the stats, a team that starts out 1-5 has less than a 10 per cent chance of making the playoffs. Well, it would appear the Chiefs will beat those odds. Alex isn’t quite on fire but he is playing good football right now.

He’s not yet the lead on ESPN yet but he well could be soon.

With Jamaal Charles out for the season, KC had to try other options on offense to move forward and so far so good. For the first time under any coach since Marty Schottenheimer the Chiefs are playing balanced football. And when you do that, you usually win.

Even if KC drops a game – and they shouldn’t – they will still get a wild card berth. And if they beat the four remaining teams, they are a lock for the five seed and likely will play Indy on the road. The way it’s looking today that’s a game they would be favored in and should win. Kansas City is now – can you believe it? – in Super Bowl talks. Most experts rank them in the top eight NFL teams right now.

The Chiefs play the Chargers at home today.

KC is a 10 point favorite against one of the NFL’s worst teams this year. The Chiefs then have Cleveland, Baltimore and the Raiders. Other than Oakland, they’re all low level teams. Sounds good to me.

The Chiefs and Royals BOTH IN POST SEASON. Nice.

PRO PICKS

KC -4 OVER CHARGERS IN A TEASE WITH PANTERS -1 OVER ATLANTA

SEAHAWKS -7 OVER BALTIMORE IN A TEASE WITH KC -4 OVER CHARGERS.

glaze…where are you getting your point spreads. Local book or vegas?

    • CG says:

No I get them from Chuck’s mom. She gives me the numbers. Then if she can’t I call my neighbor. He’s in the know.

Yeah Vegas…sportsandodds.com thanks for asking we’ve gone over this before.

      • HARLEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! says:

yes we have…ijust want to say that they’re as stupid fucks
as you are. Hopefully they stay in biz thru the end of the season.
Their points spreadsare the worse…and with you and those
phony teasersand your fuzzy math…boy what a trainwreck you
and those books from nj are.
        hahhahahaha

Chiefs don’t have the offensive fire power to make the Super Bowl, more to the point, Alex Smith isn’t good enough to take them there. No way the Chiefs can hang with a Roethlisberger-led Steelers team. An it would be just like the Chiefs to go to Indy and lo because that’s what the Chiefs do.

  3. CG says:

We’ve been ho† lately, won both games we picked today.

    • HARLEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! says:

still in ahuge hole…but you’re used to that picking football or baseball games.
Maybe give us the “over/under” on some of yur hotties and strippers.
that’s more interesting and you know a little about strippers.
      please keep us entertained!

  4. CG says:

Chiefs win a tough one at home in the rain. Dee Ford was the star…have to be concerned about our offense again. Alex needs to improve weekly and this week he didn’t. One TD and some nice runs, but Chiefs did not move the ball well and not much in the passing game. Kelce did nothing and Alex couldn’t hit Maclin in the second half, so it was a step backwards. Granted rain and yuk but still should have been better. I didn’t like that Oakland beat the Broncos or that the Steelers might be raked AFC’s best right now…we play the Raiders at home last game…no easy win.

People, I’ve decided to finally end it all. It’s become tiresome for me to copy and paste the same argument every week, and even I must admit that a smiley face on the outside doesn’t make my any happier in the inside. So I have ended at this very moment, and have programmed a simple bot to respond automatically to each sports-related KCC post. Don’t worry, you won’t know the difference.

Nice of you kerowacky to follow glaze. It seems every piece he writes is the same
b.s. we get from radio/tv. The guy has no stats or details and uses one of the
    black balls to pick scores.
So please take glaze with you when you stop writing. its would solve a lot
of wasted space on hearne’s blog because between you and glaze you both
    are fucking f***S!
Don’t take is seriously but it’s true. Between you and fuzzy man your comments
and stories are pretty stupid. Andn of course there’s no one wrose at picking games
than you and him. Like the conspiracy theorist about the pen*s formation at
ksu, I’m surprised porky hasn’t said something about this whole mess.
He’s usually wallowing around somewhere waiting to use a fake name!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
