Steele: The Importance of Being Chelsea (@ UMKC)

Chelsea-ClintonUMKC hasn’t gotten this much national attention since the Bloch School was busted for goosing up its ratings…

The Star threw the doors open on that scandal. This latest one took the Washington Post.

I doubt if Star editors saw anything amiss with paying Chelsea Clinton, the 33 year-old heir to the Clinton crime syndicate, $65,000 to speak at a luncheon for 10 minutes.

They’re all in for the mom.

Yes, 10 minutes – it was in the contract.

True, Chelsea had to endure a withering 20 minute grilling from Kay Barnes on something or another, but Chelsea got to specify what kind of chair she sat in. She also dictated the temperature of the water that she would be drinking on stage.

UMKC wanted 45 minutes for a grip-and-grin session, but Chelsea’s handlers said 20 would be more like it, 30 max. So UMKC folded like Chamberlain at Munich.

The occasion was the launch of an entity called the “Starr’s Women’s Hall of Fame.”

The event was allegedly non-political, but the organizers first choice was Hillary Clinton, who, if you haven’t heard, is running for president under the most ominous cloud since Marion Barry last ran for mayor of Washington D.C.

“Yikes,” said one organizer upon learning that Hillary’s fee was $275 large.

And even though the fee would have included a four-year guarantee against getting audited and an automatic bid to the NCAA basketball tournament, UMKC had to pass.

So they settled for the spawn, as to whose spawn there is some doubt.

Chelsea / Hubbell

Chelsea / Hubbell

Those in the know say Chelsea looks a whole lot like former Clinton capo Webb Hubbell, who did two years in prison rather than to rat out the capo de tutti capi.

Still, Chelsea got the Clinton name, just as Hillary did, and that is apparently enough to command big bucks in the land of the wooly-headed.

I cannot wait for 2016. I’m ready for Hillary. For my support, she has already promised me the juke box concession in North Kansas City.

Capiche?

Steele i’m sure you’ve heard she’s just like you and me flat broke. Fighting the good fight for the middle class, like the countless puppets before.

  2. Phaedrus says:

What the hell does Chelsea know about, other than winning the ovarian lottery?

  3. Stomper says:

Thanks for coming back, Rich. We’ve missed you but know you’ve been busy.

Chelsea’s deal sounds like free enterprise working well. A buyer and a seller came to an agreement in the open marketplace. Hearne could tell you some backstage rider stories from his days as a promoter that would make Chelsea’s requests for a certain chair or water seem almost too mild. If I didn’t know better, I’d think maybe you don’t like the Clintons. You’ll quite likely have most of the next two decades to criticize Clinton women as Chelsea will face off and beat George P. Bush, the next generation of the GOP’s royal family, in 2024, following her mother’s two terms. 🙂

By the way, Rich. How about a piece on the Pope’s Encyclical on the issue of global warming? That had to cause a clash of faith and politics in your world.

    • Huh. Where did the seller get the money?

      • Stomper says:

The “seller”, Chelsea, was paid by UMKC, the “buyer”, so that’s where she got the money. Not sure which pocket they took the money from. Money ended up going to Clinton Foundation according to info. People paid to speak at events daily but it’s open season in politics so the republicans are just warming up and Chelsea is regarded as fair game apparently.

  4. SteelyDanMan says:

“She also dictated the temperature of the water that she would be drinking on stage.”

Was this mentioned in The Post’s story?

If so, wow. F*** the system.

  5. chuck says:

The PEW Report informs us that 74% of Americans, get their news from traditional, i.e., Main Stream News sources. ABC, CBS, NBC, The New York Times, The Chicago Tribune, The LA Times, on and on right down to the K.C Star. That same media ripped Mitt Romney ceaselessly on his wealth.

    http://newsbusters.org/blogs/matthew-balan/2012/01/19/cbss-rose-touts-ny-times-spin-romneys-wealth-being-new-hurdle

The Clinton Foundation, covered in a hucksterish patina of 501(c)(3) ” laughing up you sleeve” wink, wink, “Your in the club, my Democratic peeps” clothing, that covers Chelsea Handler’s t*ts about as well as it cover’s Chelsea Clinton’s avarice, produces over 550 million dollars (75 million went to actual charities, leaving ONLY 475 million for “Administrative” Costs.) so far for the Clintons to use, wait for it, on “Charities”.

So sure, she (Hillary) is going to win. It used to be, that when the “Fix” was in, it took place in smoke filled back rooms where behind the scenes power brokers determined who would be the next great president. Say, Warren Harding for example (How things have changed.). Now, the public, so inured to Liberal legerdemain by the PR Main Stream Media Bureau, that what brought Al Capone to his knees, is given a nod and a wink from the IRS to the Imperial Clinton Dynasty. Lerner’s lies for liberals go unchecked and if “You scratch my scales, I will scratch your scales” is a ticket to the Big Show.

The America coup is complete, the victors are re writing history and all that remains is to re colonize the country with illegal immigrants and “Refugees” from Muslim countries that hate our guts and, this 4th of July, will try and prove it.

Stomper is right, Ace Rothstein would put his cash on Chelsea in 2024.

I am sure it makes all Amerikans proud.

    Nice article Mr. Steele.

This kinda sh*t would get Ace Rothstein out of the Casinos into a real con.

  6. Jack Springer says:

I thought I was the only one who saw the resemblance between Hubble and Chelsea. Maybe it’s because she was off limits being a daughter of a President. I do wonder how many bags Hubble used — however Hubble is ‘good looker’ himself.

A probable illegitimate child and the daughter-in-law of a convicted felon. What better credentials can a democrat have.

  7. vhahhararley says:

hey the stones walk out with 90 per cent of the gate. Chelsea is just smart as is
Hillary and bill…doing nothing different than the other rich people in America
do. Remember the komen foundation…how about the church’s and political
organizations who get the tax breaks so they can make money.
65 k for Chelsea is cheap if you look at other political speakers…and umkc
gets a big name to speak and add some excitement to the campus.
As far as the water…I’ve seen the riders bands include in their contracts and
it’s not unusual for them to include some really crazy stuff.
Good for Chelsea…if someone is willing to pay her that money…who would turn
    it down?
as far as Romney…his money was made taking away American jobs and sending
them overseas. Romney never put out his taxes and left many wondering
about his money. But that’s not why he lost. And and even today’s republican
clowns running for prez do not get it. The electorate has changed dramatically
and when hillarys 2 billion dollar campaign get thru slicing and dicing the
repub nominee it should be a walk in the park for Hillary.
Lets be honest…none of us will probably see another repub as president again
in our lifetimes. they don’t get it and never will.
And of course…soon trump will be getting 200 k to speak…as will many of the
other clowns running for the office.
Way to go Chelsea. You upset all the old white guys on kcc.
Take your 65k from the university and have a great time spending it.
As for hearne…you got a new target to go after.

  8. vhahhararley says:

hearne…to compare Hillary to barry is quite a stretch.
Hillary broke no laws (which were in effect at the time) and has asked to
testify in front of congress but they keep delaying it.
Hillary probably has a good reason for how she handled the emails.
But that’s not the problem for her.
The question will be will congress look like they have egg on their face
when they get done questioning her. She’s a very smart woman and will
make them look like fools when she goes to congress to explain what and
    how she did the emails.
Plus many of those are top secret and will never see the light of day.
And after the way congress looked after spending millions investigating
bengazi and how even their own committees said there was nothing
there I can hardly wait for them to waste our time and taxpayer money
on another investigation when their own party said there was nothing
wrong in how it was handled.
Get a grip hearne…that comparison between Hillary and barry was even
worse than the right wing conspiracy theorists like chuckles could have
    come up with.
Get ready for eight yearsof bill and Hillary. America loves these people
and even republicans like them….so its not hard to see what’s happening
    in the electorate.
and when you add in another 5 million Hispanic votes…and the African
American vote…plus hillarys going to take the female vote probably at
55-60 per cent…we can just skip the election and give it to Hillary
and bill and save billions of dollars.
    thanks:
    Harley

  9. The Word says:

    I blame the Confederate Flag…

  10. The star was correct in its indifference. This event occurred 17 months ago. What difference, at this point, does it make?

  11. Harry Balczak says:

Thanks Phil, you do all of us a public service by letting us know the talking points that have been ordained on high by the RNC, and spare us the agony of having to watch Fox News to find out what they are!

  12. Nyuck Nyuck Nyuck says:

Two words for Hillary: Vince Foster. That statute doesn’t run out.

  13. CFPCowboy says:

So, what was it that she talked about? It is kind of like listening to an actor on the emergency of Climate Change, that actor with two years of college on a baseball scholarship. Based on the money paid, you would have thought that they would have hired someone with a graduate degree. I heard it was donated money, but can’t confirm that Missouri taxpayers didn’t foot the bill. W are just finding out about the IRS fiasco with 501C4s, now we need to look at 501C3s. Charitable foundations have a requirement to pay out specific amounts of money to charitable causes. They are not supposed to bankroll State Department Intelligence. For every e-mail the Benghazi Committee has that Hillary doesn’t, you have a case of felony destruction of property.

  14. Ernest Evans says:

With respect to Ms. Chelsea Clinton, I find her in many ways an admirable young woman. As we all know, with the possibility of a nuclear deal with Iran in the works, the Congress and the DC crowd is resonating with rhetoric about the alleged “existential danger” a nuclear Iran would pose to the US. I am not sure, frankly, that all of these DC politicos really believe this. You see, in World War II we really did face an “existential danger” from Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan–both of which declared war on us. In response, members of the US political class like 50-Year Old University of Chicago professor Dr. Paul Douglas joined the Marine Corps and served in combat in the Pacific–Douglas was awarded the Bronze Star. I am not aware of a rush of the sons and daughters of our DC politicos to join the military to fight in a war with Iran. Let me put it this way to all of the people like Hillary Clinton who are beating the drums for a “showdown” with Iran: I will believe that Iran is an existential danger to the US when your daughter joins the Marines to fight in the war with Iran. If the danger from Iran is not serious enough for your daughter to join the military, then you need to keep quiet about Iran. Sorry to be so blunt, but I teach at several of the schools connected to Fort Leavenworth and hence have several hundred former students deployed in the Middle East. I am not a pacifist and neither are they–but I do not like it when politicians with nothing to lose start recklessly beating the drums for war. I stress that this is not about Ms. Chelsea Clinton alone, it is about virtually all of the DC political class–if the Iranian bomb is not worth your child’s life, it is not worth someone else’s child’s life. Sincerely and REspectfully, Dr. Ernest Evans

    • Phaedrus says:

The reinstatement of the draft (without exemptions) or two years of mandatory military service for all young people would go a long way to curbing our country’s military adventures.

  15. Jim a.k.a. BWH says:

“Those in the know say Chelsea looks a whole lot like former Clinton capo Webb Hubbell, who did two years in prison rather than to rat out the capo de tutti capi.”

Not sure who “those” are, but there isn’t anything better than speculating on someone’s DNA heritage.

Classy move, Rich. (or whoever you are)

I couldn’t give a rip what Chelsea might have to say. But, she certainly has a right to say it. If people want to pay to hear it, isn’t that their right, as well?

I thought you always were beating the drum about free-speech and Capitalism. If this isn’t a prime example of both, I’m not sure what is.

  16. Ernest Evans says:

Dear Phaedrus: Interesting idea!! I also suggest that we form the “Hawk’s Brigade” composed of all of the toughest-talking politicos in DC. The “Hawk’s Brigade” would be the first unit sent in to any conflict that the US is involved in. That, too, would cut down on the adventurism of the DC political class. Sincerely and Respectfully, Ernest Evans PS: I am not a pacifist, and the soldiers I work with for a living are not pacifists. But they signed on to defend the Constitution and the Republic–not to keep campaign contributions flowing to elected officials.
