Glazer: Scribe Whips Out Ouija, Lays Down His Picks

f04a62d3f071b6a9050493aef71907a4What to do while we all wait on the Kansas City Royals

I know! The Chiefs have a big game in San Diego, a place they’ve had very little luck winning any games the last 10 years. Most of the scores lately are very high so I will put my dough on the over here at 44 1/2.

I think the Chiefs, who have improved way beyond anything I expected, have a shot to win. They have the best ground game in the NFL and their short passing attack is dangerous as well.

The Chumps defense has improved getting rid of dead weight like Eric “Over Rated” Berry. However, I see San Diego winning a close one and sending the boys in Red to 2-4. However if the Chiefs get to 3-3 look out they could end up with 8 wins. Way better than I expected but I would still win with my under bet of 8 1/2.

Sorry.

KU33-TotoK-State is in a must win situation if they want to compete for a Big 12 Title. That game should also be close. Missouri has pretty much blown its season with last week’s stinker. They could go bowling but not for anything much that matters. We just don’t have anything much in the college football bag in our metro this season.

K-State has emerged as our best-of-the-rest. KU played their best game in years last week losing a close one to a ranked OSU. The new coach has them finally looking like a real college football team. Let’s see how they play this week.

We just don’t have a pro or college team with much heat on them at this time.

Maybe the Chiefs and K State will change that with upsets this weekend.

I say NO, but I’ve been wrong at least once this year. Ha!

parrot-1COLLEGE PICKS

DUKE -2 1/2  OVER VIRGINIA

GEORGIA TECH OVER NORTH CAROLINA EVEN

UAB -3 OVER MIDDLE TENNESSEE

PRO FOOTBALL

CHIEFS/CHARGERS OVER 44 1/2

GREEN BAY -1 TEASE WITH CHIEFS/CHARGERS OVER 44 1/2

INDY -3 OVER BENGALS

LETS HOPE I FINALLY HAVE A WINNING WEEK. IT’S BEEN A TOUGH YEAR FOR THE KID SO FAR.

you know absolutely nothing about Virginia…or uab or middle Tennessee…or even
duke football. You’re not smart …you probably don’t even know where mid
Tennessee is located..their coach/record or anything.
You’re not a smart gambler at all….you never bet unless you have information
and know exactly who you’re betting on.
You’re getting this from some free source like the guys who sell picks on radio.
If you didn’t know…that’s a huge scam (I can explain later).
No wonder your REAL winning percentage is about 40% at best…
which a blind dog could get.
And you picked some teases that probably you can’t get in vegas.
provide us with who you found these teases…middle Tennessee can’t be
    getting much action…
and remember…Monday nite go to the taco bell by your place
at midnite and start howling ‘ITS OVER ITS OVER”.
mY HEART SAYS KC…my brain is picking giants…hard decision….

    “I think the Chiefs”

    – ‘and I think to myself’ – Sisyphus, rolling that boulder, since January 1970 (and with apologies to Louie Armstrong, say) ‘not’ a wonderful a world.

“They have the best ground game in the NFL”

    – not really, CG (don’t fall for the who-ha ‘overhype’) – Chiefs rank just 4th overall in the NFL, only 2nd best in the AFC ypg average. Knile Davis (a backup) is KC’s leader (ranks 15th in the NFL, only 8th best AFC), while Charles barely manages to get into the top 50, ranking 43rd.

” and their short passing attack is dangerous as well.”

    – “dangerous” to whom – and do they have any other kind but the short shrift? Kelce ranks 68th NFL, Bowe 115 (tied with Avery, actually); ‘what’ a troika of dink & dunk.

“The Chumps defense has improved getting rid of dead weight like Eric “Over Rated” Berry. ”

    – alright – you redeemed yourself (just this: have a mea culpa ready & on stand-by for the Royals aft they fall to (get taken to the woodshed by) the GIANTS, ‘World Series’…

I’m not HMS Richards, and this has not been ‘The Voice of Prophecy’, but until any the above is disproved, will put a feather in my hat and call it (not bologna, but) macaroni.

1-2 for college fb picks this week

  4. harley says:

ya see misssouri….offense looked anemic…defense is incredible.
Ray will go #1 round in draft…wow anothergreat defensive player from mizzou.
They could win 8-9 games this year…which would be huge since this
is a transition year. Losing their wide receiver has made a huge difference.
If they had him on the field they might be just one loss this season (to Georgia)
and pounding the rest of their division opponents.

Not good but 2-4 only picked six games. By the way would have won them all but two had Chiefs game had 1 1/2 more points but it didn’t. So I lost. Like Hearne wrote this year has been tough for anyone picking teams…no dominant teams really in pro or college and the ones with good records don’t cover enough. So its really a crap shoot these days. More than ever.

      • Bill says:

Craig, if my aunt had a dick she’d be my uncle. The world is littered with degenerate, broke gamblers who would be millionaires if a team had just scored one more point. You lost.

You continue to tease games, and you continue to lose because of it. How many times this year, have you teased the same prop multiple times in a week, and how many wins has it cost you?

  6. admin says:

Gotta tell you guys, this is kinda-sorta above my pay grade – in that I just don’t follow things close enough to care – but from what I’ve seen this year in college football, all bets are off. Anything can happen…and does.

Look at Mizzou last week – or A&M Saturday.

This is beyond parity, there are few-to-no sure bets.

Which to me, dilutes the interest in the game somewhat. It’s kind of nice to have some powerhouses that every so often get upset. This seems like chaos.

    Am I wrong?

    • Guy Who Says What Others Think says:

Yes. Much more interesting when anyone can win at anytime. You still have your “bad guys” that people root against regardless. Notre Dame, Alabama, FSU, etc….

    • Bill says:

      Hearne,

There are wins to be had betting college football. You just have to pay attention. Taking Glaze’s W/L record is not evidence enough to say that it is tough to bet this year.

      • harley says:

glaze’s math is like that of a 2nd grader. People are making
money this season. Thebookies are making big money this
year off the usual losers like glaze and k who have no idea
        wht they’re doing.
Glaze bets on teams he doesn’t even knew they existed.
Not smart. Like going to roulete table blind or playing
blackjack and not being able to count.
        That’s glaze.
Hehas no idea what he’s doing. Hecan make some good
bread in a flower pot but he’s no handicapper. Even
shoedog could outdo glaze in football picks…if you can
get shoedog away from his gps looking for shoe reapir shopts!!!!
        haahhaah

      • CG says:

Yes Bill there are some doing way better than I am. No doubt. I have a fine four year record excluding the start of this one. Happens. Notice with all the attacks nobody and I mean nobody on this blog or on radio here or anywhere is picking games regularly with spreads and then being accountable the next week. NOBODY. There is a reason for that. IT’S HARD.
