Hearne: ‘The People Have Spoken,” Kanrocksas

Turnabout is fair play…

After months of insisting otherwise, the powers that be at the music fest known as Kanrocksas have done an about face and  made single day tickets available to the two day fest on June 28th and 29th at the Kansas Speedway.

The $64 million question being why?

“I think all along they had it in the back of their minds,” says a source close to the fest. “But they wanted to maximize their two day tickets and not give any hint that there would be single day tickets.

“It’s been the plan all along, it was just a matter of when. So now the people who thought they might not be able to see Kanrocksas can curate their own festival experience.”

Single day tickets at $99 per are “limited,” organizers say.

And while the fest has yet to identify its “headliners,” Friday’s bill includes Fun, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Imagine Dragons and Saturday’s is highlighted by DJ Tiesto, MGMT and Passion Pit.
