Mancow: Wanna Ruin Christmas? Go See ‘Les Miserables’

I walked out of  the Les Miserables screening…

It was that  ugly. That awful.  It SUCKS!

Don’t believe the hype. Everybody in the movie has dripping sores. A girl’s teeth get pulled by a creep. Then she gets raped.

Then the child abuse starts. It’s just unrelenting ugliness.

Honestly, was there really ever a time on earth when EVERYBODY had dripping sores near their mouths? In this movie there is.

Awful.

Probably the dumbest posting ever on KCC. The world is wrong. Mancow is right?
No way. He’s just an small minded idiot who doesn’t know any better.

Why would anyone voluntarily call themselves a name as stupid as Man Cow? What a freaking idiot. Why the freak is that clown without a suit writing on this website anyway? Please make it stop, The stupid…it burns!!!!

Well, it is just his opinion.

The trailers look great. I read that the actors did NOT dub over and sang the entire thing as they did the scenes. If that is true, Anne Hathaway’s voice was a stunner to me.

Hugo’s novel is Greek Tragedy and if you are an emotional person (I mean no diss here, it just is what it is. I can’t watch those dog shelter adds, gotta leave the room.) then you could easily internalize the horrors in this book and flick.

Hugo’s book is a triumph. The play might be even better.

The Music is wonderful, but, the story is indeed, brutal.

Sorry Mancow but I must have seen a different version of “Les Miz” than you did.
Did you see it on a ‘Screener’ or the big screen? And had you ever seen the play?—one of the most popular worldwide stage plays of all time. It just finished a K.C. run and set records.
In my book it’s a tremendous tale and production of broken dreams, passion, sacrifice, redemption and the human spirit.
Tom Hooper who won an Oscar for directing “THE KING’S SPEECH” —in my humble opinion—did a great job of adapting it for the big screen. And what a cast! Anne Hathaway is a sure bet for an Oscar nomination—and will probably win it!
The Kansas City Film Critics Circle awarded her ‘Best Supporting Actress’ honors for her performance as ‘Fantine’ in the film just last week.
Now granted musicals aren’t for everybody but this one’s right up there with ‘Chicago’, ‘Hairspray’, ‘Mamma Mia’ and other major crowd pleasers.
Having said that I wish you and your family best wishes for a great Christmas and fantastic 2013 on Windy City’s radio scene.

Now you see why Mancow is a loser.

  7. This place really needs a ‘HOME’ link.

  8. Nikki says:

Oh please. “Man Cow” is it? No one can be that stupid. Can they???
Have you ever heard of or read “Les Mis”? Do the world a favor & beg, borrow, or STEAL some culture before you attempt to give anyone your uneducated opinion of a masterpiece again ok?
