Hearne: KCC’s Christmas Wilding to Go Down at Uptown ‘Conspiracy Room’ December 19

Far be it from me to concede that music and soccer scribe Matt Donnelly painted me into a corner…

Then again, he did call me out in last week’s “Sounds Good” column. Were we going to our annual KC Confidential Christmas Wilding in the rural Lawrence, no-holds-barred strip club known as The Outhouse?

Uh, no Matt, we are not.

Donnelly worried where it might go down now that Plaza jazz club Jardine’s is history. To be honest, I was wondering myself. Not to worry the wilding is back and it’s gonna be bad.

Our few holds barred holiday hang will go down Wednesday December 19th at the Uptown Theater’s Conspiracy Room at 3700 Broadway in Midtown.

Where better to hold a bash that is sure to hit with “bullet force” than a venue decked out with faux Egyptian Mummies, King Tut replica’s and a conspiratorially-themed decor ranging from the JFK Assassination to who was really behind the 9/11 attacks.

It all unfolds starting at 5 p.m. – so you can drop by on the way home from work – and goes until 7:30 p.m.

Come and meet the writers you love to hate (or maybe even love) and other local celebrities of note.

And remember; no fisticuffs with The Scribe!

Methinks Master Donnelly should plan an alternate party at this Outhouse place or maybe Bobby Baker’s Lounge. Bakers would be a little easier for me to attend due to proximity to my dojo.
The Uptown seems a little too stuffy for my taste.

Hey Hearne, I will spring for the entertainment ONLY if you let this guy play.

Talent is talent, I get it, but if you don’t at least look at this guy, then you are just not interested in entertainment.

This is his audition tape for American Idol, and…, well…, just please listen to it.

Here is the Glaze, when he was filming a movie.

I am obviously off today. 🙂
