Starbeams: KCI Bus Bashings & Nick Haines Stunt Double in Trouble

KCI bus drivers have been involved in over 50 accidents in recent years and have cost the city $200,000. On the bright side, Kansas City is now the No. 1 city for people who know what they’re talking about when they say, “I feel like I’ve been hit by a bus.”

*******

KCI hopes to outsource busing at the airport.  They’re currently looking for drivers who speak even less English.

Mitt Romney says if elected, he will cut funding to PBS.  This means the KCPT might have to drop Elmo as stunt double for Nick Haines.

  1. Rick Nichols says:

Do you think Tanna Guthrie might be up to driving a KCI bus for $11 an hour? Just a thought. And the “hits” just keep on coming!

  2. Ron says:

Does the author ever ride the busses at KCI? I ride the blue bus (Economy Parking) every week, and I find the drivers quite courteous, helpful and professional.

The comment about speaking English misses the mark. All the drivers, as far as I can tell, are Kansas Citians who speak perfect English.

Kelly Urich needs to stick to radio.
