Starbeams: KC Zoo Gets Gorilla, Shatto Gets Snookered & Sprint Gets to No. 1

The Kansas City Zoo just acquired a 25-year-old gorilla from Chicago.  The gorilla says she hopes to do a season here, become a free agent and be traded to a better zoo in New York.

Local fave Shatto Milk is being forced to recall seven products because the Missouri Milk Board says they might contain bacteria.  The board became suspicious when they found Snooki attached to a milk pump in Osborn.

Don’t look now but Overland Park based Sprint is #1 in customer satisfaction in cell phone purchases.  The company’s new strategy of using the cigarette model for marketing is paying off.

They make us addicts, cost a fortune, are annoying in public and probably give us cancer.

    I like the one about the has-been gorilla coming here for a year, then heading off to N.Y. where the lights are much brighter. An apt analogy to the general mode of operation of our local professional sports teams over the past 30 years.
