New Jack City: ‘TED’ $nuggles Up Big Time

Call it a milestone, but audiences are loving it…

Director Seth MacFarlane‘s raunchy comedy TED with Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis – which hit theaters five weeks ago – crossed the magic $200 million mark this weekend.

That’s $203.4 million to date in North America alone.

Which is on top of worldwide ticket sales where it’s sitting in first place in countries as varied as Great Britain, Russia, Germany, Austria and Switzerland, with much of the world yet to experience the adventures of Hollywood’s foul-mouthed teddy bear.

So how does this summer’s comedy sleeper-hit stack up against past R-RATED boxoffice winners?

Right now it ranks # 4 behind THE HANGOVER, THE HANGOVER Part II and BEVERLY HILLS COP.

Now get ready for Will Ferrell‘s political satire THE CAMPAIGN opening Friday!

Almost forgot, TED the foul-mouthed, talking plush bear is now available for purchase on the internet and $14.99 gets you the 8 inch version, $34.99 the 16 inch and for a mere $59.99 you can have a 24 inch version of TED talking trash to you.

Missed a lot of the punchlines because of laughter and went back to see it a second time. Was just a funny second time around.
