A green pickup stopped traffic for hours yesterday on I-70 west of Topeka. The truck was full of chemicals and covered with anti-government slogans. The man driving it was arrested. Chemicals? Anti-government slogans? If he’d have just made it to Lawrence, he would have been welcomed with a parade.

Farm Aid is August 13 at Livestrong Sporting Park. Now we hear Willie Nelson is being inducted into the Agricultural Hall of Fame in Bonner Springs. He joins Thomas Jefferson, John Deere and Isaac Newton. Willie’s induction will take place in the basement of the hall under fluorescent grow lights.
