The reunion was fantab-gulorious!!!
The Rainmakers brought it. Doing the ENTIRE first CD first was wonderful.
Father Son, Holy Cow!
Again, I maintain they should be filling stadiums.
There in the shadow of Rockfest was this great show at an oddly wonderful venue, Knuckleheads Saloon.
It was all very cinematic wasn’t it?
Age is a bitch. While the Rainmakers were never the best looking band, age has not been kind to them.
Too much new stuff was played, I thought, but it’s a minor complaint.
Bob Walkenhorst is a GREAT front man. With his talent he should be living in a mansion not eeking out a living kicking around Kansas City bars.
Sat next to a pal from a great heavy metal act Disturbed – that headlined Rockfest that same day – on my return trip to ChiCOWgo.
He’d never even heard of The Rainmakers. Pity .
They may be long gone long, but still as that long train clattered past Knuckleheads with the whistle crying, the
band smiled and it was 1986 once again. So much promise glimpsed in the rear view mirror.
If God really did "put us here to get out and have a good time." he smiled last night.
Tickets remain for tonight’s Rainmakers show at Knuckleheads
