So it’s here at last, the AFC and NFC Championship games. Are you ready?
With all the talk about teams that don’t have enough offense, the four teams remaining are in the top ten in defense…something our Chiefs need to pay close attention to.
Do you feel we belonged in this group after watching them play and our Chiefs play?
I don’t.
The games seem to be on a completely different level – one we’re not in yet. Our defense seems far away from where they need to be, don’t they?
I have to be honest, after those last two losses (Oakland and the Ravens) it was like letting the air out of all of us. We all say how cool it was to win the division and be in the playoffs, but it sure didn’t feel hopeful.
I have been on the Green Bay Packers since before the season started. Injuries of course made their trip to the title game uphill, but they did it. Aaron Rogers is outstanding and they are my pick to win it all. If so, they’ll be the second team to get it done from the number 6 playoff spot since the Steelers did it. The Packers have strong defense, a big star leading the way, Clay Mathews and timing. They’ve added a running game to their brilliant passing attack. I see them beating Chicago on the road.
The Steelers always show up in the end don’t they? Not a sexy team to watch, unless you’re an underage gal who follows Big Ben around the bar scene. Jets are kinda the unlikely team to get there, though they made it to the AFC title game last year against the Colts.
Maybe it’s their time. I like the Steelers at home with their defense and knack for the big plays at the end of big games.

noticed some interesting things
the teams in the championship games ran a lot of spread offenses with
as many as 5 receivers.
This is what the chiefs need to do…find those 2 or 3 to p receivers and run more
receiver routes. With only bowe…they need a lot of offseason work but with a
running games that is better than any of the teams in the finals today
with 5 receivers out on the line….it could be huge for matt and the chiefs in 2011
Glazer on Target
Yes Harley Glazer did a nice job here. In fact he was right on the Chiefs pro bowlers too. He had Cassel,Hali and Berry going, and all were named yesterday to the pro bowl. Good work Craig. The guy takes alot of put downs for his sports talk, but in the end he was better than anyone else in the KC media, maybe I will take notes next year. I like the Steelers over the Packers though, they have the resume.

Glazer I have to admit you overall did a nice job on the NFL this year. The Packers pick early was a good one with all thier problems, as well as your final Super Bowl picks. But the Steelers are the team Craig. They have a tougher inner strength than the Pack does. I see Araon Rogers backing off late in games. He doens’t have that killer instinct yet. It will be a good game. Steelers by 8.
