STARBEAMS: Starbucks logo change; KC KS police; and short school weeks

Starbucks is about to change the logo on their coffee cups…again.

This is the fourth change since 1971.

The new logo is a picture of an empty wallet.

The Kansas City, KS police department is being investigated by the FBI amid allegations of misconduct. Four members of the police squad have been arrested and suspended without pay.

Officals won’t say what the misconduct was but the suspended police have already been offered a job with the KU Athletic Department.

Several school districts in Kansas are switching to four-day school weeks – mostly small schools in rural areas.

Critics say this robs the children of their chance to succeed, but not nearly as much as here in the city where we can’t get it right with five-day school weeks.
