Dumptruck Butterlips at the Jackpot Saloon in Lawrence – Don’t let the catchy name fool you. These “bedroom bluegrass” artists are known for their live shows, and were recently invited to perform at Yonder Mountain String Band’s Harvest Music Festival.
The Schwag at the Granada in Lawrence – These deadheads have been keeping it real for a long time, playing over 2,000 live shows over the past few decades.
Saturday, January 8th
Easton Corbin at the Beaumont in KC – This young, soft spoken country singer has been compared to label-mate George Strait and was named Billboard’s “Top New Country Artist of 201
AM Taxi at the Riot Room in KC – This Chicago band, formerly known as American Taxi, mix an old-school roots rock/punk sound with Replacements style vocals. Also appearing on the bill is local punk/pop/alt-ers the Architects.
