I don’t know why anyone cares what Whitlock has to say. And three hours worth?

Then again, I didn’t really understand the Lebron announcement either. And why some people seem to care about Lindsay Lohan.

810 will be cute with this and spin it, but if it’s true that 810 was given the chance to air Whitlock for 3 hours….for a mere $300.00 of Gates BBQ catering and a commercial-free 8-9am….and they let a measly 1 hour be the reason to not air Whitlock, then 810 blew it.

I’ve almost TOTALLY lost interest in Whitlock over the past couple years, but it should be an interesting and possibly dirt-slinging 3 hours.

Whenever it happens, I’ll be tuning in to 610’s Nick Wright hosting J Dub.*

*Assuming KK doesn’t counter-program with a marathon grilling segment or mesmerizing 3 hours of the Racin’ Boys.

I’ll listen for about 15 seconds then I’ll have flashbacks of the summer of 2000 while interning in Topeka. SSJ/Whitlock/Megan all on air together. What a god-awful show that was. So I guess it’s fitting that this dbag will spend 3 hours on another dbag’s radio show.

It’s not like Nick was going to be interesting between 3 and 6 so he might as well turn his show over to someone who at least has a chance to be.

What me tire of the Whitlock story? To borrow a quote from Greg’s favorite band (kidding, of course) the Carpenters – I’ve Only Just Begun.
Inquiring minds still want to know, who – if anybody – he’s going to chainsaw. Besides me, of course. Where he’s going to go. That should be pretty vanilla, unless he signs with Tony’s Kansas City or becomes the doorman at Stanford & Sons or something. Oh yeah, and why he really held out. Gotta be the money, right?
So yeah, maybe Greg’s right. I may be about tapped out on W.

Greg what you didn’t mention was the poor coverage of the Haley melt down on the local tv stations. What no Jack Harry going off. After hearing about it on 610 i was really looking forward to some highlights. Only Fox 4 came through. Obviously 5 is just a suck up.

I will be unable to hear all of the Whitlock interview so I hope it is covered here. I really enjoyed Mass’s comments Tuesday. I just think it will be good from a local sports history aspect though I’ll question the accuracy as we will only hear one side. And he may censor himself.

I can’t believe 810 even entertained the idea of hosting “The Explanation.” Are listeners really intersted in knowing why Whitlock is gone? I suspect anybody that actually cared about Whitlock and his columns likely lost interst long ago… during his extended summer “vacation.”

I don’t get it. 610 continues its desparate attempt to be relevent by paying a no-longer-relevent, washed-up writer to monopolize 3 hours of their most irrelevent host’s show time.

If I remember my 4th grade mathematics correctly, multiplying any number by 0 (zero) yields 0 (zero).

    Well played 610, well played.

I remember when Jason promised to give all the dirt on his departure from 810 many years ago, and he didn’t even come close to delivering what he promised. Some subtle reference to KK’s antics in Mission Hills but nothing more than that. I’m not holding my breath anticipating anything big. In the end, he knows if he goes too far, it will make it harder for him to get a job somewhere because that new employer will wonder if they can trust him. We shall see.
