Glazer: Chiefs Nation a No Talent Mess

Like most of you, I too had high hopes for this season’s Kansas City Chiefs

For this being the Chiefs’ “turn around” year. Or at least the beginning of that process.

But guess what? We all got taken.

The Chiefs really had no draft last year. With the exception of the place kicker, it was a wasted draft, nobody else mattered. Least of all the Chiefs No. 1 draft pick shmo bird Tyson Jackson – total waste of time. If it were not for the fact that Jackson was a number one pick he would already be gone. Last year he did zip; no sacks, no big plays. And thats hard to do for an entire season starting each game, for Chrissakes.

Heres something to remember: the Chiefs have not hada name defender in more than a decade.

Nobody. No real all-pros. Nothing.

WE’VE BEEN THE WORST DEFENSIVE TEAM IN THE NFL THE PAST TEN YEARS.

I was screaming BJ Raji in the draft. Tyson Jackson is very average.

We all love watching D Macluster, but he is gonna get hurt. The second round, we should have taken Brandon Spikes. No brainer.

If you float out of being a Chiefs fan because they stink, YOU ARE NOT A CHIEFS FAN. You are, by definition, a fair weather fan!

I grew up with my dad taking me to chiefs game. In the Ganz era I used to able to run around certain rows of the entire lower bowl without bumping into anyone’s legs.

Chiefs fans are NOT the best fans in the NFL. In fact, they are some of the most fair-weather fans. People just selectively remember the 90’s and forget the 70’s and 80’s.

    new offense..new defense….still only a
    few weeks working together….but they
    need receivers….
see mark clayton do great with baltimore the
other night. It appears that when a player
leaves kc (baeball or football) their career
comes alive and they do great. That tells you
theres something wrong with the head people here
    in kc.
I’m not giving up on chiefs yet…but after
watch mark teahen with white sox this last week
its apparent that royals are in the worst mess
    ever.
Give them some time…hopefully it works out
    well for the chiefs….
but without quick receivers they willsee
cassell take a licking having to wait for his
reveivers to get open. Didn’t charile weiss
see that our receivers were kind of slow and
tended to drop the balls….why hasent he made
it know that we need big time receivers now…
    not in october or november…..
and haley looks stupified on the sideline…he
looks out of it…and i did see him go after
the guy who gets the overhead photo shots from
    upstairs during the game…wow…
lets hop for 8-8…that would still be a
    great season for thse guys.

I’ve seen this before with other teams. You are right about the QB. Either he WAKES UP and makes us STAND UP real soon, or I’m afraid all is lost. Just like you said CG. I don’t see it happening though. The chefs are just another Cleveland Browns. Weiss won’t make a diff. I do like Romeo C. though. What a waste.

Not time to panic yet. Our schedule looks soft. Win week one somehow and go from there. Neil Smith sucked his first year then DT came along and changed things for years. Maybe Tamba will keep improving his pass rush and improve Jackson’s game. We can only hope.

Glazer..way too negative. And he’s the one that calls TKC negative.

@JoJo: “see mark clayton do great with baltimore the other night. It appears that when a player
leaves kc (baeball or football) their career
comes alive and they do great.”

Are these sentences supposed to be connected? Mark Clayton was drafted by the Ravens in 2005. No known KC connection.

It’s a work in progress. Offense seemed a little vanilla for the first few series. Give the coaches time to figure out who can play and who can’t. Cassel doesn’t seem to trust his O-line, though. They have to go downfield sometime – no throws in Bowe’s direction? At least Weis taking over as o coordinator has given Haley time to shave – no more transient vagrant look.

When all is said and done….seems to me that Kansas City is the trainging gound for potential talent. When they are good we trade them for 3 average players who advance to another team with in the NFL. When they get better…we traded them. Cheifs or Royals……Go Cheif’s and take the Royals with you!!!!

  11. Anonymous says:

The Royals have traded a World Series Team more than once…..Cheifs have done the same……..Money talks…….I think we need to adjust the volume in Kansas City!
    Something to PONDER!

    Hey Keyzer,
Work in Progress?????? You mean like the infrastructure in KCMO?????? MODOT, KC Zoo, Pwere & Light???? Show me the MONEY!!!!!! How long do we have to wait and how much do we have to waste in tax payer incentivies??????? The middle class is being completely obliverated by the cost to promote something that is not there and many question if it will ever be. The city cannot afford, the tax payers cannot afford it and the powers that be pass it on to those who cannot afford it…..when will the madness end?????????

    boring..blah blah blah…

I said it 11 months ago. The NONcoach the Chiefs have WILL NEVER BE EFFECTVE. Haley girl is the same loser crackhead screaming bitch she was last year. She was promoted by peter principal to the point of ineffectness.. He is a dadddy girls who got a job with the jets..and schmooosed his way to KC….. HE NEVER PLAYED FOOTBALL AT ANY LEVEL!!!! HIS PLAYERS DO NOT AND WILL NEVER REPSCT THIS IDIOT!!

haleygirl PREACHES “ACCOUNTABILITY” EXCEPT WHEN LOOKING IN THE MIRROR !! IT IS A JOKE!!

Go read my posts from last September. If you are unable to see this BS for what it is, then you do not understand the NFL and you are not really a football fan.

I am a Chiefs fan but I am no homer, when my team sucks… I say they suck..and from top to bottom this team is a loser…

    I say it AGIAN…..
The only thing that makes sense is they are grooming this team to be such a loser that watching homes games on TV will become a distant memory, Arrowhead will go back to when it only had 20-40,000 people there..and then hlarkcunt will whine the team is losing money..and he is being forced to move the team to LA. His plan is obvious and unfolding…

It is boring….it is old …
it is obvious news ( I already told you last year) and when it happens I wont came back and say I TOLD YOU SO!!! (much anyway)

    get used to it…..
    LA CHIEFS…
    it is the future,
    it is sad
    it is obvious.

Jojo, his point was that Mark Clayton was never a chief, but congrats to him on the td catch. T rich played here for 10 seasons, was the best fullback in the game, 3 pro bowls, but herm went with his youth movement. I’m glad he’s played for the jets and vikings since his time here, he’s getting to play winning football finally. I can’t believe you’re upset about trading buck, he is awful, then and now, teahen is a utility player on a good team. We have not traded grienke (yet) and are still trying to bring gordon along, hopefully the fire sale ways of the royals are over.

The average fan on the street would have done as good, or better, a job at drafting over the past decade as the Chiefs’ highly paid brain trust has done … think about it …

Nice points, Ric in PV, you are right brother. Anyone could do better, anyone. The draft and buying no meaningful players has killed this club. When Marty was here they bought good players to join in and help, Joe Phillips,Dan Saleuma,Allan,Joe,Spiderman, today nothing. We bought a good but past his prime lineman and a far past it center, thats it. No defense buys, come on. We had the worst D in the league, why would it be much better now?

Glazer you need to be on the air? Are you too busy for sports radio? I hear you on 6l0 sometimes. You kill it, wish they would let you talk more. Nick and you would be aces. Please get on more, you tell the truth and fast.

What makes you the expert Glazer? I hear you on the radio and you act like you are an NBC tv anchor with the NFL,like your thoughts are the gospal. What is your sports background? I’m not being a jerk, just wanted to know.

“GREAT COACHES HAVE ONE GREAT THING IN COMMON…
    A GREAT QUARTERBACK:”
‘look at the coaches in the hall of fame and right next to them is their great quarterback:”
wow…thats doesnt bode well for mr. haley.

You are right JoJo, without a quarterback you must have a top defense to contend, we have neither. Hunt screwed us, he spent zero bucks in off season, the two asst. coach’s sound good, but to coach what? He bought nothing else? Glazer is correct a bad team, again.
