    I tend to stay away from the dollar houses because of dirty, broken-down seats. I would rather go to the theater than watch a movie at home, because it’s more of an “escape”; but I can’t deal with the filth.

    Last time I saw a movie in a discount theatre was at the old Ranch Mart. It had started to show its age. The current operators have done a good job converting it into the Leawood theatre.
