Hearne: Glazer Calls on Star, Whitlock to Come Clean, Wrist Slaps Mellinger, Disses D-Bowe

The most bogus bit of “news” the Kansas City Star has printed maybe ever?

That it’s sports columnist Jason Whitlock is merely vacationing.

“Obviously, there’s a problem,” says Stanford’s

I know this is an educated guess, but I think its the closest thing to the truth. I agree.

He is the only Star reporter that anyone in America has ever heard of, true.

So far Bowe is average, better than number one pick Jackson who is awful and would be cut if he were not a number one pick. I think he will be released after this year, another loser number one from the Chiefs.

If Jason isn’t back at the Star, I will cancel my subscription and not read the news paper on line.

Yes they need to let us know what is going on with Whitlock. It’s hard to believe this is a vacation. I kinda miss him.

And that was the day I learned that literally anybody can be a media critic. Anyone, regardless of credentials, knowledge or police record can offer an opinion that will be taken seriously by someone. In fact, not even an actual opinion is required. Educated guessing is nice, but uneducated guessing, even by someone as removed from a situation as they could possibly be, can offer “analysis.”

The news organization that chases the truth at all costs is now doing everything they can to prevent the truth from coming out. Pretty interesting.

Whitlock would indeed write that nobody outside of KC knows who Dwayne Bowe is…and how exactly does that affect us, the Chiefs, and D-Bowe’s performance with the Chiefs?

That is why Whitlock is irrelevant to Kansas Citians. He writes what HE thinks is relevant, but after all these years, he still can’t grasp what is relevant to Kansas Citians. KC fans don’t give a rat’s ass what the folks in Cinci, NY, or Denver think of D-Bowe.

The funniest part of all this, is Whitlock played the Star to gain this national notoriety and in the end, he’s leaving them with absolutely nothing in return.

Hearne, is this Jay Glazer who is making these comments? I did not see a first name attached to this person’s last name in your post.

    Thanks!

Who cares if Whitlock is the only writer the rest of America knows? The rest of America doesn’t buy The Star, and I honestly can’t see any person buying or canceling a subscription based on Jason Whitlock. He’s been gone for over a month, and I haven’t heard people dying for their “Whitlock fix”. Just let Whitlock go, and add “sports column writer” to the list of duties for Derek Donovan. Problem solved.

Craig Glazer, much like the Chiefs and Royals, has been waning in popularity and importance due to drugs and arrest record.

In the first sentence, “its” doesn’t take an apostrophe. It’s (which does take one) possessive as is.

kcredsox person, just to clue you in, since you are clueless, Glazer was arrested in 2001, ten years ago, he was basically NOT GUILTY, moron, except he used coke, so does every celebrity and jock in the nation. Never sold anything, that was proven. End of story, read your own paper.

Glazer is likely one of your most prominent media personalities. This morning I heard ‘nobody’ named Carolos Mencia say how much he liked and admired Craig Glazer and Stanfords. He even imitated Glazers voice and persona. This on the Johnny Dare show, Glazer was not present.

There are not drug stories on Glazer since, other than that he is a board member of one of your drug and alchohal charities in KC. Since his arrest of 0l, the guys wrote and sold a major book on his life, a hit, sold it as a movie the Eisner family(CEO Disney, former, a billionaire), opened your number one comedy theatre in KCK, is on every morning talk show your city has, on tv and more.

I get a kick out of you haters on this man. I went to high school with him at East. I am in town from S.F. for business meetings. Even in my city, celebrities talk about Craig Glazer on radio. Frank Caliendo, does a voice impression of Glazer. Howard Stern has comics on who do several minutes about what they think of Glazer and Stanfords, including Lewis Black and Dave Atel.

He is likely the most prolific star you guys have today. Like it or not. He is your real life Jesse James or in a Hollywood sense, Jack Nicholson. Own it Kansas City. By the way he’s obviously popular on this blog. Enjoy the man, he is entertaining. P.S. I am sure he knows Whitlock well, didn’t he do radio with the guy?
