They do not live up to the hype they have been getting. Average band at best and they sure as hell are no Social Distortion.

Why wait to read KCConfidential’s review when THE STAR HAD IT UP LAST NIGHT?

HC: Hey Silly, the Star story wasn’t a review, it was a very careful tap dance. Most of it could have been written without even attending the show. Exactly where does the Star’s “critic” stick his neck and say what he did and didn’t like about the show? Nowhere, read it. Very strange. My suspicion is the 50-something critic was afraid to diss a 20-something show and look like an old fogey. McTavish delivered the goods and had the you-know-whats to call the band out. Check the Star’s review at http://www.kansascity.com/2010/07/18/2092311/review-the-gaslight-anthem-plays.html
