No, Kietzman would never try to grandstand. If the last two weeks have shown us anything it’s what a shy and retiring guy he is.

Looks like Jeffrey Flanagan found another company to rob.

Mike Montgomery = Royals AA pitching prospect.

Mike McFarlane = Good choice for the booth.

Rather watch world cup??? What about the WNBA Greg?

    ___

GH: I would rather watch the World Cup. I would rather watch the Saucer Cups at Worlds of Fun than the B-cups in the WNBA.

I don’t even watch the NBA but Bill Simmons is a very entertaining writer. Most articles by sports writers are obviously hastily written with little research…deadline in mind I guess, or quota in mind. Simmons’s stuff is great, especially his rankings articles where he elaborates on a ton of the hundreds of guys he ranks. Reilly was good at SI even though just about every article was the same and he always tried to end it real smoothly…that got old. But he seems like an ass on ESPN so I don’t even read his stuff anymore. I hope Simmons never tries to leap to TV because he is great right where he is…writing.

When is Petro going to call for better sidekicks in his booth–other than his lap-dog yes-men: Doug (I sigh everytime before I speak) Stewart and the fat, jolly target of all Soren’s jokes, Kurtis Seaboldt. Oh yeah–and the Jewish kid who sounds 12 years old.

If you think Simmons doesn’t make mistakes, you haven’t read his NBA book. Packed with errors.
