They also know him to be a ridiculous whiner who has been from most of the boards at one time or another. As much as I love to beat up on LJ, this is a ridiculously bad article. I know it is the internet, but some basic procedures still apply. Generally if a major piece of your article is going to be about a website, you should make sure you get the address correct. KCforum.com is a parking site for Microsoft. KCForum,net and KCTalk,com are both websites LJ has frequented. He has over 3000 posts on both sites. It would have taken you know time at all to find any of the statements Nick Orange was alluding to.
A great number of LJ’s meltdowns have been about people giving away his identity. I have usually sided against him. He might have a point here. Did you really just post a map to the guy’s house? Not sure that was necessary.
I have no respect for the guy, but you can’t write an article about how he crosses the line and runs with bad facts while doing the same.

A Concerned Friend My oh my is this interesting. Kudos to Hearne for doing what he does best: delivering a little controversy to an otherwise boring and pathetic KC “media” scene. I find myself visiting both bottomlines and kcconfidential for the same reasons, to see where people are fucking up and to get a bit of cheap thrills / intrigue about media-related personalities.
Let’s face it, aside from some lame comedy from Kelly and sports stuff from Greg (also mostly about radio personality rivalries) there really isn’t much here for the average reader. This site really should be more open about what it is: watching the Star fade and petty in-fighting among KC’s fifty-something media crowd.
And honestly, I think it only has legs for so much longer.
