Don’t forget cocaine. They were known for cocaine. Oh and for constantly putting fraudulant charges on credit cards.

The bottle service concept was already played out 5 years ago when they opened. Goodbye. Good riddance.

This kinda goes along with my story a couple days back on the death of the cool night club owners….I for one am sad to see it go…I only hung there a few times, but it was kinda cool when it opened. That had been three or four other concepts over the last 40 years….

They had no real ‘front guy.’ But it was a hot bed for nice looking people. I saw it fall apart last summer when I went there on a Saturday at midnight and was one of only six or seven people there on a warm August night.

Without Blonde, the Plaza has no WOW nightspot, none. It should have something. Maybe Blonde should have remodled and started over? Maybe the days of dancing and semi nude girls in the restroom with white crap on their nose is over.

Like I said last week, “I miss the bad old days…newer is not always better.”

I was there when Casey and the Porno money came to town it had its moment but I dont really see how you can throw MINT into the mix… Martini Corner is a destination to get out of Westport and not have to put up with the Power and WHITE.

true yet funny story: watched some drunk dancing bitches drop/spill their drinks as a bouncer pushed past them abruptly. they kept dancing and ended up falling on the mess! one even had broken shards of her beer bottle glass stuck in her cheek after falling on the said mess. she was so wasted that she didn’t even know it till one of her friends pointed it out and then completely lost it! ahhhh such a good memory.

Mint was supposed to be an “ultra lounge” similar tyo Blonde and – I guess – Mosaic. Chris Seferyn, one of the owners, tried everything but a secret handshake to get in to brand it as hip and elite but it never took off. It closed January 1st and became an “event space.”
Just like Yahooz at 119th and Roe. It failed as a cowboy steak themed joint, got converted for the blink of an eye into a Coyote Grill, then shuttered as a restaurant for private parties. Presumably to trim overhead to the bone, ride out the recession and return as who-knows-what.

Place was a shithole. Same people, same whores, same d bag employee’s with ear pieces each and every night…place wasn’t a club. Closet thing to a club KC has is Mosaic and that’s not saying much. Some of the losers you see running around Mosaic, The Jones, and Blonde provide a lot of comedy. I’m sad to see it go. Where’s big head Pete gonna hang now?? Loser.
